  1. i'm always spot on. unless i've been drinking in charleston for 3 straight days after personally watching kenny hill throw for over 500 yards. then, i would definitely take the opposite side of whatever opinion is being offered.
  2. there are some holes to fill, but i believe in elko and some of the options he has at those spots. i fell hard for tim deruyter (who is currently kicking ass at cal) and i'm trying to keep myself from doing the same with elko, but the guy's pretty damn solid.
  3. this . . this is actually more or less correct. mack was also quietly pretty awesome this year. pre-bowl we're 42nd in defensive s+p (which has its issues, but is as good as anything else from an overall metric standpoint) coming off a sweet 71st ranking in chavis' final year. i'm guessing we're top 30 in overall s+p next year. please feel free to bookmark and bring up repeatedly when clemson puts up 60 on us next september.
  4. thankfully, i've been assured on here that daylon mack, kingsley keke, landis durham and otaro alaka all suck, so i'm guessing we should be in good shape.
  5. i'm trying to imagine looking at a college roster, watching christian williams' film, and deciding he can't help me. that program is on such an ahistorical run that i'm not sure what to do besides shrug at this point.
  6. i worry about leal being a bit of a tweener, but if his floor is a plus athlete at 5 tech that sets the edge, so be it. cupp is a freak. as is his mom.
  7. this fall has been more charleston / jackson hole actually. and craig's a bagman, but he's OUR bagman dammit.
  8. would be surprised if dodson left, and would be surprised if mccoy stayed.
  9. as i said when he committed, christian harris is a fucking stud and an nfl athlete. this sucks, but at least we have . . . um, lots of linebacker depth. not having clark lea at lb coach for at least a year was tough, he's a huge step up from peveto. need numbers here.
  10. spavital is a really good guy, hope he does well. his wife is a champ for putting up with moving from college station to berkeley to morgantown to san marcos in less than 36 months.
  11. that marc olson / gary louris show was so great. wye oak tonight. all ages show. will attempt to stay out of jail.
  12. starkel is a goofball, which i don't think helped him. mond is a grinder, wants to be great, is incredibly coachable, but god love him - just isn't accurate enough. jimbo's arrogant enough to assume he can make any halfway-decently athletic qb great (see: his last few years of evaluations at the position) but his offense creates so much of a burden on the guy you better choose wisely.
  13. my socks are radiology horn and ctj. shit is exhausting.
  14. this is going to get a bit awkward when herman starts pushing for chibuzo. and i think your main problem is you don't take recruiting seriously enough.
  15. probably not if we keep recruiting based on frames. fuck.
  16. best guess is he's in some sort of voluntary rehab by Q2 2019.
  17. a hell of a lot more people can build a company than sustain one. we obviously gave the contract thinking he was capable of both. stack talent, develop it. keep a gifted, motivated staff around you (obviously his biggest failure at fsu). the rest is a bit of luck. if our heights end up being a top 5 finish where afterwards i stumble into the mansion asking an OU student about her spring course schedule . . . i'll take it.
  18. i think our entire recruiting class along with their families should be in prison.
  19. new (old) pinegrove is out. little more relaxed than cardinal, still pretty great. https://pinegrove.bandcamp.com
  20. to be fair, you just described the entire industry.
