  1. Every time Harper appears to be pushed out, someone new and important develops an unexplainable interest in her and pulls her back in the game. She uses everyone around her to her own advantage and stabs them in the back whenever it benefits her. Maybe that’s more apparent to the viewer than the characters in the show, because otherwise I don’t see why anyone would want to work with her.
  2. I’m personally rooting for Rob and Yas to find a way out of this. Eric and Harper are beyond redemption.
  3. I liked The Wager much more than KOTFM or LCoZ. Agree heavily with your last comment.
  4. What signs are you referring to?
  5. I’m not sure I follow unless you’re suggesting the State of Texas is giving the Feds a proportional cut of the $200 EV fee. I’m assuming that is not happening, in which case the federal gas tax is irrelevant.
  6. Just renewed the registration on my wife’s Tesla and I see the state of Texas has now added a $200 EV fee to registration. I guess it’s supposed to make up for lost fuel taxes, which is $0.20/gallon. So that assumes the EV driver would otherwise buy 1,000 gallons of gas in Texas per year. At a modest 25 mpg average, that’s 25k miles per year driving within the state, which seems absurdly high. In a state with a strong O&G industry and lobbyists, the $200 EV fee certainly seems punitive against EV owners.
  7. Going to Glass Animals this Friday in Dallas.
  8. I’m not saying you’re wrong, but if Laura Loomer is First Lady, then America as I know it is completely dead and it’s time to look elsewhere for places to live.
  9. Yeah but some of his friends thought the assassination “joke” was funny so I guess we all just had to be there.
  10. Didn’t Eric interview in that conference room at one point? Unless I’m misremembering, I liked that tie-in.
  11. That was a fantastic episode. Marisa Abela is doing some incredible acting this season.
  12. I love The Bear but it should definitely be in the drama categories. It felt like season 3 tried to give more screen time to the Fak brothers to support the comedy designation, and that was way over the top and hurt the season.
  13. It seems plausible from what I remember. She has been distraught all season and we only saw bits and pieces of the time on the boat. I could picture a situation in which he went after her again, especially if they were both fucked up, and then she pushed him off and never told anyone. More of a self defense than a cold blooded murder.
  14. Perhaps she pushed him off the boat and his body finally washed up somewhere? There’s not much to pull off in that type of scenario.
  15. Haven’t read this thread in a few months but…fuck. This is gonna happen for a long time.
  16. Was this a new episode on 60 Minutes? I skipped over it tonight because I felt like I had seen it before.
  17. This show is really good right now. Rob and Yas are my two favorite characters and the plot is revolving around them in a great way.
  18. I rented it for $5.99 through AppleTV.
  19. Finally saw it yesterday. I was entertained and would give it a B+. The action sequences were a lot of fun. The only thing that kind of bothered me is that it felt like it was written by someone from CA who has no idea what it’s like to live in a tornado area. At multiple points in the movie, people were outside doing stuff (rodeo, baseball game, town fair) when a tornado struck in under 5 minutes. Calm skies to total destruction with almost no warning. Also, the local people seemed to have no idea how to respond when tornadoes hit. People running everywhere with no apparent purpose and thank god a group of tornado chasers showed up to explain to get indoors, away from windows, and find a basement or low ground.
  20. I watched this tonight and really enjoyed it. Agree with a lot of the comments here - fun movie, strong resemblance to Inglorious Basterds, hints of Tarantino, gratuitous violence against Nazis will never get old, and finally, yes, Eiza Gonzalez is pure smoke.
  21. Texags and large chunks of the south: This wouldn’t happen if we didn’t have mental health problems, people drifting away from God, black people, and gang violence! Also Texags: Why wasn’t anyone upset when Trump got shot? When are they going to lock up the shooter’s dad? Other countries with mental health problems, non-Christians, and minorities: Our kids are safe.
  22. I hate this country sometimes. In what other developed nation are school shootings a fact of life? Gee, if only there was a solution.
  23. It felt like someone from The Bear wrote that episode. There were moments I felt genuinely sad for Rishi and moments I hated him and everything in between.
