Have a Marantz SR-7008 that is starting to crap out on me. 6 months ago or so, I had to have the HDMI board replaced in it, and now, it is not sending a signal to my sub. Do I continue to get this thing fixed, or do I bite the bullet and get something new? It worked great for about 7 years before shit started breaking, and if I can fix it for a decent price, I prefer to do that, but I don't want to get into a situation where I'm having to have something fixed every few months. I'm gonna call my repair guy tomorrow and see if he has any idea the cost to repair it, but if I do decide to go the route of getting something new, what should I be getting? My projector is only HD, so I don't need 4K yet, but it would be nice to have if I ever do get a new projector, and I'm running a Klipsch 7.1 surround system, with an SVS-1000 powered sub.
Thoughts/suggestions? Has anyone had this type of issue before and knows some way I might be able to fix it myself?
