  1. Once this small matter is cleared up you'll have some actionable advice. For real though, why bother with accrual accounting? Sounds like a low volume operation. Why add unnecessary complexity? If the business is profitable everything can/should be expensed instead of capitalized. And the answer to your question is tree fiddy.
  2. We have punted in something like 17 of our last 22 possessions. It is astonishing how bad we are at moving the ball.
  3. Have I missed that OP is an artist? We need to see some examples of your work please.
  4. Absolutely there are shale (unconventional) plays all over the world. A fair number of foreign companies have invested heavily in US shale plays in order to understand the technology and how it may best apply to their local assets. Depending on the area of the world there are likely easier to extract assets that they may produce before they start to produce local unconventional resources but when the economics are right they will get back to it.
  5. yes, people are willing to help. Finding those people is admittedly a challenge at times.
  6. Watched this movie while stuck in Europe by the volcano that shut down European air travel for a week or so 8 or 9 years ago. I had been on my way home from a trip when I was diverted to Germany and got stuck there. Watching that movie while I was in that situation is about the most depressed I've ever been.
  7. What happens on the road, stays on the road (only kind of kidding) I have a friend who has done this for almost 20 years. For he and his wife (family) it has worked well but he is an extreme extrovert, never met a stranger, kind of guy and his wife is a an introvert who he would drive crazy if he was home all the time. Honestly it has probably been the best thing for them and they have already discussed that when he retires they'll probably get a weekend place in the mountains so they (mainly his wife) can still have some solitude. I only travel about 15% of the time and that is plenty for me and my wife's personalities. If you go this route and kiddos arrive, after the DNA test, make sure you plan on giving your wife some real breaks (send her away by herself for the weekend) on the regular. If y'all have kids will your wife continue to work or stay home with the kids. If you're gone all the time and she is working full time that can be an added strain as well.
  8. 'not a candidate' could be interpreted as 'already have the job'
  9. Per the YouTube TV site for DFW zip code these are the local channels that are included. WFAA 8 CBS 11 FOX 4 NBC 5 My27 Telemundo 39 The CW TXA 21
  10. I just canceled Vue (working through Nov 11th) and will most likely sign up for Youtube TV sometime before then. LHN was what was keeping me there, so hopefully a new solution will arise for that.
  11. I mean bravo for boobs, but calling that food she's making tamales is a gotdam abomination. Potato wedges and olives? Are you kidding me?
  12. Awful story. Amazing how a second or two can destroy life so easily.
  13. I've got my money on Tarleton or Sul Ross. To the OP, sorry this happening. Now name the f-ing town before we send out a surly mob looking for you.
  14. At the cash register while holding your change over the tip jar they'd ask if you wanted to patch the hole in the ozone or save the baby seals or something similar. If you paused when ordering they were quick with, "are you gonna stand there all day or order?" Those were some tasty burgers. Was it a victim of real estate development or did college kids stop liking tremendous burgers and abuse?
  15. Very cool. I can't remember if you've said but do you do this travel for work and just add on some long weekends or is all of this pleasure travel? Do you have these meals by yourself or with someone usually? Always jealous when I see this thread updated. Keep it up!!
  16. Dahobbs, what was approximate cost of your project? If the cost includes the kitchen, how much was kitchen vs. the patio and cover. Looks awesome by the way.
  17. Tremendous work BigXII you should be proud.
  18. Whatever happened to LSU Freek? That dude was a gift.
  19. It's a schedule for human beings...
  20. Sad story. Sorry for your loss.
  21. Awesome stuff. What is the backstory? Somebody is pretty meticulous / anal retentive to individually wrap every bumper sticker, ticket stub and program.
  22. but, oh what a sack it was.
  23. We had our first two kids a couple of years apart when my wife and I were 28-31 range. Then we had a bonus baby when we were 41 & 40 respectively. Once we got past the initial shock it has been pretty amazing having a little one again. He is now 6 and starting 1st grade this week. It has been exhausting having teens and toddlers at the same time. Last year we dropped our oldest at college and the baby at Kindergarten. WOW. We have been more relaxed with this one and let more stuff fall in the "it'll be ok" category while trying to enjoy the journey.
