  1. I think we all agree on these scenarios, but the estimated price range for each scenario is where we may diverge: MAX PEAK - TX / Mich (possibly 2X current market) Low PEAK - TX / Bama (1X - 1.5X current market) Mid - Wash / Mich ( .75X - 1X current market) Bottom - Wash / Bama ( <Face - .5X current market) Anybody have a different order of high to low price scenarios?
  2. I think this is roughly the split if it was even. I added the TX and UW in the areas that seem to be the school allotment for each school. In reality I bet it is 70% Texas.
  3. Y'all are all talking Sugar Bowl correct?
  4. Sorry, it's been a minute but here is the finished product... Happy with them overall. Haven't figured out how to do a good TEXAS Burnt Orange yet. If any of y'all have that down please either post or DM me the right color combo.
  5. Have a buddy whose last name is Bator. Needless to say his closest friends always call him Master. That won't stop.
  6. Here's one. The mention of mixed-race, etc. upthread reminded me of a word that was common in my central Texas upbringing in the 70-80s but I hadn't heard in a while (Mulatto). Imagine my surprise when I'm listening to the radio one day a few years back and the new creation from Dairy Queen is advertised... Fuck me runnin' does anyone review these product names?
  7. I think the least racist thing you can do in this situation is eat all three cupcakes, especially if one is vanilla, one is chocolate and one is lemon.
  8. "Nice" of them to give you follow-up call
  9. So if we think the 20k tickets per school is accurate, I'm thinking maybe 65% of those actually end up with "donor" fans. Team / Coaches - 250-500 tickets Band - 400 Athletics / University admin - 500 Students - 5,000 I was another one of those walking around the Rose Bowl in January 2006 looking for tickets and I can see this being like that. The market will be a bit more efficient in that we won't have to walk around and hope that we happen to be around the right person when they hold tickets up in the air to sell, but I'll bet the get-in price is >3k on the re-seller market if the matchup involves UT. Many will have the same view as has been expressed in this thread, never will be a cheaper (no "travel costs" involved) option than this, not to mention the pent-up demand from Horns' fans coming out of the desert of the last 13 years. If Horns don't make it, all of us buying in advance should really be pulling for Big Blue as that will be the only hope for the market not collapsing before we can sell. Wish I had thought of the RSVP option earlier in the year. I bought "Dibs" in the 2009 season for $75 or something like that and then got 4 tickets to that debacle for face. Good luck to everyone.
  10. I saw in an article that no team ranked 7 or lower in the penultimate rankings has ever moved up to the top 4 in the final rankings. I think the caveat this year is the head-to-head of two teams rated in top 6 (loser will not remain in top 4, and the possibility of the upset for another undefeated (FSU) in the top 4 who will for sure drop out in the event they lose. As well as the Buckeyes "placeholder" spot in the top 6 in case of emergency.
  11. If on August 15th any Texas fan had been asked if 11-1 and the 1 seed in the Big 12 Championship would be considered a successful season the response surely would have been a unanimous yes. Now that we're here, sure we all want to win the Big 12 and then get a CFP spot, etc. but if any of those things fail it shouldn't diminish the view of the season as a whole. It would have been disappointing, as a Rangers fan, if they lost the World Series (once they got there) but in the long view no Ranger fan would have honestly been able to say the season was not successful. Texas fans are Andy Dufresne at precisely this moment, it's been a shitty 13 years, enjoy this!!
  12. I'm guessing we'll have a home game on 11/23 vs. a cupcake (maybe Vandy) of some variety as is the case with almost all the SEC teams.
  13. And we can do what we've done the last 15 years....which is block hold them." Fixed it for Gundy.
  14. BAMA and OU. Not a single other ranked team on our schedule. I don't know how Sagarin calculates SOS but ours has to be based mostly on those two games.
  15. Outside of Texas the Big XII doesn't have anything Outside of UW / UO the PAC doesn't have anything Outside of Mich / OSU the B1G doesn't have anything
  16. I was at the game in Tuscaloosa. It was glorious. I was also at the Cotton Bowl on October 11, 2008. It was also glorious. Unfortunately, the team we beat that day took our spot in the National Championship game that year. If the SEC is shut out of the playoff this year it will be the first time in the CFP era that the SEC is excluded, and even going back to the BCS, era the first time since 2005 that an SEC team didn't get the nod in the beauty contest. Not saying it's right, but it is the way it is. I hope the trend breaks in our favor if necessary, but not counting on it. Having said all that, I'm standing behind the Lousville cheerleaders (especially one) this week...
  17. I'll be shocked if SECSECSEC gets shut out of the playoff regardless of what else happens. IMO, there are 3 spots taken (Michigan, SEC and PAC) and 1 "open" (FSU, if they win, or TX)
  18. Crazy rumor time: Texting with my friend from Florida last night during the UF / FSU game. As we’re discussing the games of the day he reminds me that his best friend is good friends with Urban. Says that OSU BMD’s have intimated that they’d pay 15MM / yr for Urbs to come back and save them. 😳🤣 No idea if there’s anything to it but the source definitely has the right access.
