  1. This is a fascinating nugget of info to the majority of posters on this thread, composed primarily of landmen and title attorneys.
  2. Whatever you do, don't look 7 posts up.
  3. Can confirm yes, we most certainly do. Had a short day at work Friday, so took the opportunity to head up to the lease for the first time since New Years. Saw a big ass gobbler just chilling under the feeder at the first stand I drove up to check on. Turkey tracks all over the place near the watering hole (that actually had standing water for the first time in 2 years), and could hear a large pack warbling at each other in the woods near the camphouse around sunset. Productive quick trip as I cleared out about 50 lbs of long expired/freezer burnt crap out of the fridge and pantry. Explored some of the more remote parts of the property and think I found a good location for the new stand my Dad is currently building. Gotta get back out there before too long with some of the other guys for a proper work weekend. Aside from setting up the new stand, need to do some brush clearing and cleaning and put up a new feeder at one of the older stands that is still serviceable. That would put us at 4 huntable stands for November '24 season. Would like to have all 4 up and running so we can start running the feeders around Labor Day.
  4. 10-year edging higher on a strong March jobs report: Participation rate up from 62.5% to 62.7% January and February revised higher by a net 22K jobs.
  5. I guess "early in the week" competition is really heating up. Has anyone else noticed tons of Taco Tuesdays/Steak Nights/Half Price Fajitas popping up lately? Seems like every other post in Heights Foodies group is about a new Tuesday or Wednesday night special.
  6. Manufacturing PMI prices paid came in hot yesterday. Services PMI today is basically the reverse. Prices paid index sunk to a 4 year low.
  7. Prices gradually started to come down over the last few weeks, but are spiking crazy high again for Easter weekend. One place I keep an eye on went from like $4/lb on Monday to damn near $7 this coming weekend. Lot of places not even taking reservations.
  8. Consumer sentiment at highest level in 3 years. Inflation expectations drop back below 3% For the first time in 4 years, more people do not expect a recession than do.
  9. Haven't checked yet, do I still need to pay way too much money a month to have Fubo to watch Astros?
  10. That ain't my friend no more. That's my stepson.
  11. Good ol' neutral Elon at it again. It's just so hard to nail down his political beliefs these days.
  12. FMOC kept expectations at 3 rate cuts in 2024. They also significantly raised their GDP forecast for 2024 (1.4%->2.1%) while only modestly raising their Core PCE forecast (2.4%->2.6%). Stonks to the moon.
  13. New ATH for the S&P today at 5178. DJIA (39,110) and Nasdaq (16,166) both back to within 0.5% of their previous ATH.
  14. Cabbage and Hensley sent packing to minor league camp. Loperfido still hanging in there.
  15. Is the scientific explanation that you have untreated schizophrenia?
  16. On the other hand, GOP folks keep crowing that we WERE energy independent under Trump (based on the same "net exporter" metric) but that Biden has crippled it. Trump lately has been dusting off the "we're gonna drill, baby, drill" line as one of the top priorities in his 2nd term. All of which is pretty fucking dumb given current production levels and import/export numbers. By and large, people outside the industry, both on the left and right, have absolutely no idea what they are talking about when mixing politics and O&G.
