  1. A number 6? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with that one.
  2. Sounds like you want a red wing. 1155 are the taller heels.
  3. Akers > McWilliams > Mackovic > Mack
  4. This is all at the place listed above?
  5. I saw him at xfinity center outside of Boston. Was worth it.
  6. My understanding was a surgery left him unable to sing, so it was a forced retirement. Maybe it was bullshit; maybe it's not and he's recovered enough to tour again.
  7. Man, Charlie Robison is playing Floore's in December. Mt. Joy playing Stubb's next week. When am I going to have time for fishing??
  8. Ok, well, gf is gonna be in town and we'll spend the night in San Antonio. So, I just bought tickets to both William Beckmann (11/10) and Charley Crockett (11/12). She's a New England girl, but has embraced my Texas music roots. She doesn't really like The Scabs though... I guess there was a time and a place for them.
  9. Looked those both up. I bought my son Forbidden Island for Christmas last year and he promptly lost 1/3 of the pieces before we tried to play it. The Quest for El Dorado looks good too. Thanks!
  10. This is a cool thread. BoomMF... what a collection!! Why I'm posting here now... my kids (7 and 9) asked me to restart game night. Previously we had focused on junior versions of well-known games (Catan and Ticket to Ride jr.), cooperative games, and stuff with minimal reading. Now that the youngest has switched to avid reader status, we have a wider range of games from which to choose. Currently they are getting into Pokemon and Magic the Gathering, but I'd like to shift to fully-contained games. Looking for a decent amount of strategy, no horror/fear themes, and a play time of about 90 minutes. Would they be ready for real Catan or Ticket to Ride? What would y'all suggest?
  11. All this "Yankee's Suck" talk makes me feel like I am back in Boston... maybe at Fenway... or on the T... maybe an elementary school play. Regardless, yankees suck.
  12. I just saw Charley Crockett goes on at 10 pm at Floore's. So that's a no regardless of my location. I'll catch him at ACL Live in December.
  13. Only 20 hours late on that joke. Still, 49-0 gets rep.
  14. Billy Strings was really good Thursday night. They played for 3.5 hours with about a 10 minute break between sets. They kept going until Stubbs said no more. Dwight Yoakam played the hits on Saturday and it was a solid overall show. Nothing else on the schedule right now... might check out William Beckmann at Cheatham in San Marcos Nov 10 or Charley Crockett at Floore's Nov 12, or both, if I'm not in Boston.
  15. Hoping to swing by for a bit pre-game.
  16. Same show, I haven't been to Stubb's since seeing Social Distortion around 2006. Where do I park?
  17. This was mine.
  18. I guess it's time to participate in this thread too.
  19. He was amazing at the REK fan appreciation show.
  20. That’s awesome!!
  21. Didn't click, but I know and love that video!!
  22. Saw Willie, Avett Brothers, and Billy Strings on Friday. Was really blown away by Billy Strings; was not expecting the energy he delivered. Might see him at Stubb's in October to get the full experience.
  23. Striper and Andouille gumbo turned out awesome. Had another bowl for breakfast today.
