  1. No. Go to Casita Guanajuata. It's that good.
  2. Now there's articles/rumors that he goes off the Bachelor script. It's hard to tell if ABC is promoting it or just playing along with it.
  3. I tried really hard to watch this show. I thought it would be enjoyably bad. But it's painful bad.
  4. Don't stay in Nob Hill or Fisherman's Wharf. Fisherman's Wharf is a boring outdoor mall. Both are too far from most SF activities. Stay in Union Square, SOMA or Embarcadero area. Close by transit, activities and easy to walk to neighborhoods
  5. Never been there but Sipapu is one of the resorts that has free season passes for kids 10 and under, plus 5th and 6th graders: https://www.sipapu.ski/lift-tickets-passes/free-season-passes/ This doesn't include rentals or lessons.
  6. I've had good luck with Rising Sun, just off Anderson Ln. It's walking distance to Whataburger
  7. Some caches have small toys/junk. It's great for little kids. Not all caches have it - usually the size of the cache determines if there's room for stuff like that.
  8. It's a great way to explore small towns on road trips. Caches are usually in old cemeteries, historical parts of town, etc.
  9. Backstory on the Taiwanese cake shop: https://blog.lewislee.net/2019/10/parasite-understanding-underlying-tragedy-of-taiwanese-cake-shop/
  10. Saw it a few days ago. Excellent film. It has that mix of tension, drama, random violence and comedy that I associate with South Korean films Very enjoyable.
  11. Deer jumping onto the hood of my car
  12. You deprived your kids: https://www.tacobell.com/blog/Coolesttacobells https://www.thrillist.com/eat/nation/taco-bell-the-greatest-taco-bell-in-the-world-is-in-pacifica-ca
  13. Did you stop by the Taco Bell in Pacifica aka the best Taco Bell in the world?
  14. A few more ideas: Wave organ - go around high tide The SF City Guides - free walking tour. Lots of interesting topics and the guides are good: http://www.sfcityguides.org/current_schedule.html Ferry Building - Farmer's Market on Sat morning/early Sat afternoon - good food, good views (go the back of the Ferry Building)
  15. This website has some good ideas: https://thepointsguy.com/guides/why-families-should-use-british-airways-avios-points-for-a-beach-vacation/ We ended up buying tickets to LAX and using Avios for the LAX to Maui flight.

A little bit of a stretch for Anderson Ln but this thread needs more traffic.. Went to Julie's Noodles in the Target shopping center on 183 & Ohlen. Had the spicy beef noodle soup, which was delicious and spicy. I was sweating, drinking water and couldn't stop eating them. Wife had the soup dumplings, which she said was "okay", so may have been an off night for soup dumplings because reviews for the place have been raving about the soup dumplings. Atmosphere is zero. It's similar to Asia Cafe. Serve yourself water/hot tea, silverware, bowls, etc.
  17. An interesting article with very interesting statistics about the homeless issue in SF: https://projects.sfchronicle.com/sf-homeless/24-hours-homelessness/
  18. I highly recommend eating some turtle after visiting the Turtle Centre. Putting conservation into action (and your mouth).
  19. She's cracking me up with her "Honestly, Jesus still loves me" statements after having sex before marriage. She seems very torn between banging hot guys vs staying on the straight and narrow Christian path.

Someone needs to bring back the sushi trailer that was in front of Lowe's about a year or two ago. That trailer made me laugh every time I walked by it.
  21. Just went to T&C in April. If you want the "picture of the Caribbean beach on postcards" experience, go to Chalk Sound. Amazingly beautiful. Taxis are crazy expensive. Even the official T&C tourist website recommends not taking a taxi. We rented a car. I enjoyed turning on the windshield wipers repeatedly when I was trying to use the turn signal (cause it's reversed). Also using a turn signal and not just pulling out in front of other cars makes you a tourist. As recommended above, if you are up for an adventure, go to North Caicos/Middle Caicos on the ferry and rent a car. Dragon Cay beach has a huge cave on the beach and Bambarra is shallow and you can walk to a giant sandbar. We stayed for a few days in North Caicos and that was very interesting. It's a whole different lifestyle on North/Middle compared to Provo. Chinson's Grill is tasty. Friendly people but not much atmosphere. Groceries are expensive:
  22. This season of bachelorette is so boring and the guys so bland that my wife is actually getting tired of the show. So that's good news.
  23. Chicken or steak bowl at Cabo Bob's on Anderson Goat soup and goat meat at Taco More (Parkfield and Rundberg) Lots of breakfast options at La Casita (Anderson Ln by railroad tracks) Gyro meat on salad at Halal Bros (Braker by Metric)
  24. I felt the same way. Seemed like we were missing 10 minutes of exposition.
