  1. The theater on opening day will be packed with 40 to 60 year old dads who dragged their family to the movie. I'll be one of them.
  2. There's always someone who offers you their backup WR for your RB1 and when you decline, goes to the chat and says "NOBODY WANTS TO TRADE!!!"
  3. I'm going to gently disagree. It was a shitty movie that tried to dress up it's shitiness by having long takes, interesting camera angles and colors. But ultimately it's same boring mystery with a "twist" that a 3rd grader could see coming. Characters make stupid decisions to advance the plot and everyone is dumb. For example:
  4. Could be they know something about Saquon's injury that most others don't know. More likely is that they realize Saquon is on a sinking ship (Giants) and want to get off.
  5. Do you know what's important to have in a movie about Jason Statham fighting sharks? Start with five minutes of people who are not Jason Statham talking at a fancy event. Followed by an hour of every action movie cliche possible. Then kill off some non-memorable crew. And then get to the part everyone wants to see (sharks going crazy and eating people) at the very end.
  6. I have some similar WRs available and it seems just like luck if you hit on one of them. I agree with your ranking. Dell seems to have the most upside.
  7. Strongly agree. Steak is great.
  8. Are you planning to stay in Tokyo the whole time? Seems like you'd run out of things to do after a week. If your kids are cool, take them to TeamLabs Planets in Tokyo.

Went to Artipasta a few months ago and forgot to post about it. Had a great meal. Owners are from Italy, they want to make authentic Italian food, etc. Food was a 10. The atmosphere is about 2, so go there for the food. Don't expect fettucine alfredo or crap like that. https://www.artipasta.com/
  11. Some thoughts about Tokyo: - I wouldn't suggest staying further north than Ueno/Asakusa or further west than Ikebukuro/Shinjuku. Too far outside the city center area and you'll send half the day taking subways/rail/Ubers - How do you plan to get around Tokyo? If it's subway/rail, stay by a station that has multiple subway/rail lines. We stayed by the Ikebukuro station and were very happy with the area and transportation options - Some neighborhoods are full of tourists and some are quieter. If you stay in Shibuya, Shinjuku or Harajuku, it'll be you and 10,000 new close friends.
  12. In a new attempt to save Fairfield Lake State Park, the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department filed a petition to condemn and seize the 5,000-acre property south of Dallas through eminent domain. The petition was filed in Freestone County District Court Friday morning, after months of unsuccessful negotiations with Dallas-based developer Todd Interests, which plans to turn the former park into a high-end gated subdivision. The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department wrote in an email that this step was “necessary to pursue acquisition at fair market value to preserve Fairfield Lake State Park and Fairfield Lake for all Texans.” https://www.texastribune.org/2023/09/01/texas-fairfield-lake-state-park-condemnation-petition-eminent-domain/
  13. Easily the most fun movie I've seen this year. Tense, silly, strange and funny all at once.
  14. He definitely looks like a coach and not a modern day WR.
  15. Seconding this. Weather in March is great and it's not as crowded as the summer.
  16. 105.3 The Bat is no more. Now owned by Norsan Media, who also owns 95.1 La Raza in Austin. Seems to be playing music similar to 93.3 Latino.
  17. Still 3k to 4k over MSRP in Austin. Can be cheaper in San Antonio.
  18. Having shopped around recently, it all depends on the vehicle popularity. If you want a Ford Maverick, it'll be 5k to 10k over MSRP. If you want something that's not selling, MSRP or slightly below.
  19. This ain't good: Parts of South America are sweltering under abnormally hot temperatures – despite being in the depths of winter – as the combination of human-caused climate change and the arrival of El Niño feed into extreme winter heat. Southern Cone countries including Chile and Argentina have experienced summer-like conditions as a heat wave, beginning in July, pushed temperatures higher than 38 degrees Celsius (100 Fahrenheit) in some places – dramatically above average for this time of year. https://www.cnn.com/2023/08/04/americas/south-america-winter-heatwave-climate-intl/index.html
  20. In non-sports talk radio news, the KGSR/ACL station has finally died and reborn as... LATINO 93.3 What they play: https://www.latino933.com/listen-live/
  21. Generational feelings toward china: 60 to 100 years old - has china, uses it for Thanksgiving and Christmas 30 to 60 years old - has china in a cabinet, talks about using it but doesn't use it 0 to 30 years old - does't want it
  22. I definitely won't do it. Cause I can go on the Internet and get informed and then......fuck.
  23. Going to the doctor and then not doing anything they say. Parent always said "I'm not going to be like my parents. When I get old, I'm going to listen to the doctor and follow their advice". They go to the doctor and then ignore the advice, decide they don't need the medication, the rehab is optional, etc. When I bring up the "I'm not going to be like my parents", the response is "it's different!!!"
  24. unlimited PTO and you can choose five people to kill each year with no consequences.
