  1. I love that the answer to the question "Who was the aggy lineman that got caught with a bunch of drugs" is "You're going to have to be more specific than that"
  2. Pitcher just wanted to get in position for the save, that's all.
  3. Yeah! Have them sign a binding commitment of their intent to accept. It should be be recognized nationwide! Then we can call it something like a National Letter of Intent.
  4. Third tier would be the equivalent of today's League One, so two tiers above where Wrexham are now. I mean, yes they definitely want to make it out of the National League because that's how the team gets even more exposure and more money directly to the team. Just noting that if they didn't go up this year, financially they're probably still alright. Now if they struggled to go up year after year, then yeah, I think the profits would dry up. Your last question is a good one, but I wouldn't see why not? Multiple Premier League teams did a hard knocks style show with Amazon...I don't see why they would do that if they couldn't use the money generated from it
  5. Here's an article from the Athletic discussing their posted finances from last year. Wrexham reported a revenue of £6 million... But overall losses of £2.9 million (which apparently is not that dissimilar from other National League clubs) R&R also invested £1.2 million in exchange for shares and loaned £3.67 million to the club to buy the stadium (which will be paid back to them with interest). All of this was reported through June 30, 2022. So these numbers do not include money from the TV show, this year's attendance numbers (and FA cup attendance), new sponsorships, or merchandise sold (which has certainly gone up since the show). If they finish the job and get promoted, they will get an automatic £1 million next season (goes to each EFL team). They will also receive money for each game broadcasted on Sky Sports, which I presume will be quite often given the overseas popularity of the Red Dragons. Even if they don't get promoted, they're in a good spot considering the loss of £2.9 million was prior to the global explosion of Welcome to Wrexham. They'll be in an even better spot if they do earn promotion.
  6. I really really hope Foster had his go pro in the back of his net. I'd love to see that footage if he's still doing that.
  7. I'm not sure that's counting income from the TV deal though. And they're probably going to get even more from Season 2. And I think they get to renegotiate the TV deal after year 2 if I remember correctly, but I might just be making that up
  8. He was actually a standing national championship coach, everyone just thought he was sitting.
  9. Game in hand is huge for Wrexham right now. Wrexham wins - 3 points clear with a game in hand. Could be 6 points clear if they win the game in hand, 4 points clear if they draw the game in hand, or 3 points clear if they lose the game in hand. Controls their own destiny. In this scenario could suffer one loss and one draw the rest of the season and still control their own destiny. 2 losses opens the door for Notts to swoop in. Notts wins - 3 points up with Wrexham having a game in hand. Notts controls their own destiny. Wrexham would have to win their game in hand to bring it level and then win out (or at least match Notts results) the rest of the way. If they win the game in hand and match results the rest of the way, Wrexham would have to make up the goal differential. Dropping any points would put them in a very very difficult place. Draw - level on points with game in hand. Wrexham controls their own destiny. Winning game in hand would have them 3 points clear. Drawing game in hand would put them 1 point up and still in control. Can't drop any more points than that. Losing game in hand would leave them both level with Notts ahead on goal difference
  10. I thought they called it "Midnight Yell"?
  11. Posted this in the basketball thread too, but what the hell, I'll throw it here too
  12. That's almost a world record. World record is 8.95m = 29 ft 4.25 in (1991) Olympic record is 8.9m = 29ft 2.39 in (1968). So basically, that jump of 29-3.5 would've won every Olympic Gold medal ever. That's insane.
  13. Super Paul Mullins gets his hat trick in stoppage time to take him to I believe 31 goals on the year. Dude from Notts has 40 (impressively, none of these are penalties. 40 matches the previous National League season record). Never thought I'd be googling the National League Golden Boot race, but alas.
  14. Red Dragons up on Oldham 4-1 in the 83' Goals from Eoghan O'Connell Super Paul Mullen X2 and Elliott Lee. Likely going 3 points up on Notts with still a game in hand.
  15. She scored or assisted on every point in the 4th quarter and I think 70% for the entire game. Absolutely ridiculous.
  16. OSU Coach's dad is doing the color commentary.
  17. Of course it comes back after I leave.
  18. Unfortunately, they mostly stopped this during COVID, but they may have restarted it since I left.
  19. Can't believe I just found this thread. Lived in Japan for 2 years, just moved back this past summer. Miss it every day. Even still have my ICOCA card If you go back, definitely need to do one day in Hiroshima and one day in Miyajima. Did you guys use the goshuincho temple books to collect each temple's calligraphy stamps?
