  1. Has never coached the position before. Do not want.
  2. Signed his letter, sent it to the school on signing day, everyone kept it a secret until his public announcement.
  3. One thing I wonder... Was UNLV smart enough to include a buyout in his contract for a lateral move? I really hope so... Cause that means aggy interviewed him, got turned down, kept striking out, and now, in order to get him back, likely had to offer more pay than their first offer and now also has to pay the buyout. That hire got way more expensive than it would've been 3 weeks ago
  4. With a team of people, you should switch off of compressions with someone else every 2 minutes or so
  5. There was a study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine looking at incidence and etiology of SCD (Sudden Cardiac Death) in young American athletes (ranging from middle school to young professionals). From 2014-2018, there were over 300 cases of SCD, almost half of which were successfully resuscitated and survived. I'm pretty sure 2018 was pre-vaccine.
  6. The recommendation for chest compressions is between 100-120 compressions per minute, so any song that is between 100-120 beats per minute will work. Staying Alive is 104 BPM, so it works perfectly, the beat is easily identified and easy to sing.... And no one would mind if you sing a song called Staying Alive. Another One Bites the Dust also works perfectly, but, for obvious reasons, it is not recommended to sing that out loud if you're trying to save someone's life.
  7. I'm pretty sure what she was trying to look for was something like Florida/Florida St and she accidentally and completely unintentionally found an accurate comparison lol
  8. I agree with Tex. Every so often, people like to look back at recruit threads a few years later. Stuff like this would disappear in the general 2023 thread.
  9. Love the Hawaiians putting on this celebratory flower crowns. Love seeing multicultural celebrations on this team
  10. CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!! HOOK EM!!!!! What a dominant team this was. Hell of a job construction this roster and building this culture. HOOK EM!!!
  11. Louisville leaning hard on Chaussier (or however you spell it)
  12. CSB I've only ever been to one Texas VB game. I was stationed in San Diego in 2016-2017 and they came to San Diego to play....USD. I'd never even heard of USD at the time and didn't know if they were any good, but was pretty impressed with their student section even at that time. We won pretty easily iirc. Lexi Sun was at the height of her Surly powers. Pretty cool to see a repeat matchup in the final four. Now here I am on a plane to Vegas and thank God for live TV on planes. Let's go!!!!! Hook em 🤘🏽🤘🏽
  13. I don't know much about his history, but I know he was OC at Texas State when my fellow Weslaco Panther Mishak Rivas played there. Actually had some success there if I remember correctly. I got to meet him once when he came to Weslaco high on a recruiting trip. Needless to say, he did not extend me an offer SMH.
  14. Jimbo was hired December 2017. The reason they didn't go 202_ is because they seriously (and delusionally) thought he'd have a chance to win one before the 2020s.
  15. Good kid from a good family.
  16. It's a little more inconvenient on mobile, but only because the pictures are smaller and they're grouped 3 screenshots in the same row next to each other, so you have to zoom in to read and scroll over. It's a little more tedious, but not terrible.
  17. Madi Skinner says I'm tired of this rally.
  18. Logan Eggleston has no regard for that ball's feelings, my gosh.
  19. Parra BOOOM!
  20. Geez what a dig by Fleck
  21. Umm yea...Yea, I was serious. Because it was the Texas Bowl I was at that game and you had me worried that I was starting to get old and misremembering things lol
  22. Wasn't that the Texas Bowl in Houston?
  23. I guess I'll be the only one watching the mighty Sun Belt on Saturday? (Wife is a Troy grad. We debated heading up there for the game, as it's only a couple of hours from where we are now, but we've got other things already scheduled for Saturday) Sun Belt has been sneaky good this year with multiple power 5 wins from the middle of the pack teams. Coastal Carolina back in the championship game after another year season, but got thrashed by James Madison last week (ineligible for the championship game as this is their first season since moving up. Don't understand that rule.) And will Grayson McKall play? Head coach on the radio said unless he progresses very quickly, likely will be unable to go. Troy has been sneaky good and, imo, very underrated. 10-2 season with losses to Ole Miss and at App State on a hail mary. If not for the hail mary, they'd be undefeated in conference and they are riding a 9 game winning streak. Defense has been phenomenal (SP+ ranked 8th I believe). 5'8" Mike backer who was a former walk on now tops the NCAA career tackles list. First year head coach was an assistant at Kentucky last year. Offense, on the other hand, is complete dog shit at times (minus an outstanding sophomore RB, who went for over 200 last game and eclipsed 1000 for the season). If Grayson doesn't play, this defense is certainly good enough to win a 10-7 or 17-10 type game
