Weslaco tops San Benito 28-14. Apparently San Benito is down 6 or 7 starters due to long term injury.
And it doesn't get any easier as they travel (to a neutral site that I can't find any info on) to face Carthage next week.
There was a 4th and 2 late in the game when aggy was down a TD. They tried to throw a quick slant that got jumped and easily broken up. I figured this moment HAD to be in response to throwing it on 4th and short. I gave them too much credit.
Not pining for Herman here, but I'd just like to pop in and say context matters.
Equating a below .700 winning percentage to a below C academic average is idiotic, even for Surly.
A below C average in academics is not good.
A below C average as a College Football Head Coach over 10 years and 100 games means you're eligible for the hall of fame (Hall of Fame requires at least a .600 winning percentage over 10 years and 100 games)
I'd say Herman was a mostly average, sometimes above average coach on the field and a terrible coach off the field.
Those are probably GPS tracked miles per hour at top speed. Not sure what the percentages are, probably in comparison to a baseline test they previously did
EDIT: I'm dumb and didn't read the whole thread. Oh well, can't figure out how to delete an embedded tweet.
Looks like his sister is one of the commits for rowing
So you're saying take the over?
Also, 28 points in the 2nd quarter?? Fire PK.
Also also, 4 points in the 3rd quarter, so 2 safeties??! Fire Flood.
I imagine that's how the game thread would go.
Yeah, didn't mean instead of the PSJA North kids, more of in addition to. Just surprised that the other really good teams in the Valley didn't even have one player that could've landed there.
First impressions: There are worse places to grab a spread system QB than Laredo United.
Most of the valley representation is by way of the PSJA North Raiders, which is the last place where Coach Bush's dad (who is now his Director of High School Relations) coached. Kind of surprised there's not one or two Harlingen, Weslaco, San Benito kids since those have been some of the best valley teams over the past 2-3 years.
