  1. I need a first Burnt End Yeti.
  2. It comes from one report in one year a few years ago that they were the #1 revenue generating athletic department in the country (specifically for that year). This was in a year when donations went way up for their stadium renovation, they got a loan for the stadium, and they questionably counted a bunch of that as revenue, which pushed them to #1. Ever since then, they "have more money than the sips" 🙄
  3. So that's what he meant by diversity.
  4. I think that's a bit unfair... At least Kournikova won a few doubles tournaments.
  5. I'm pissed that Williams never went up to take.
  6. Malikmas is one of my favorite holidays!
  7. ESPN says €100 million plus €20 million add ons, deadline to accept is midnight tonight
  8. They may not ever say publicly, but maybe they cooperated with the investigation in exchange for no punishment?
  9. "A popular commit watch choice. It didn't happen" 😂😂😂
  10. He's played really well in the preseason. This attacking style really fits his game and I bet it's fun for him again.
  11. Not a major and definitely much lower stakes, but in terms of just pure execution, I've always been a fan of Tiger's massive fade from the fairway bunker at WGC Mexico And just for the "how the fuck..." factor, Spieth's vertical takeoff in the Ryder Cup is always fun to watch
  12. United not happy with Phil's comments ESPN
  13. Here's what I could find in the Twitter (or X)-verse.
  14. From The Athletic Tottenham owner Joe Lewis indicted for insider trading, giving information to romantic partners and private pilots https://theathletic.com/4720880/2023/07/25/tottenham-joe-lewis-insider-trading?source=user-shared-article And ESPN Tottenham owner Joe Lewis charged with insider trading in New York
  15. "relative rise was most significant for the youngest group, ages 25 to 44. " The youngest age group this study examined was 25-44. Bronny isn't in this age group, and likely neither are the two young athletes in your community. I don't know of any data for 19-21 year olds or younger, although that may be out there. But you know what? One of my high school classmates also collapsed and died due to cardiac arrest. In 2005. What a strange coincidence!
  16. As an example, Riyad Mahrez is reporting getting 30 million euros a year from Al-Ahli. Before Messi, the highest salary in MLS was $8 million I believe. I'm pretty sure four of those clubs are "owned" by the PIF, so they've essentially got limitless funds. All of the other clubs in the league are owned by private Saudi corporations, so almost limitless funds.
  17. This was from an article in The Athletic discussing possible head coaching candidates at Northwestern. One candidate they mentioned is one Mike Elko. They decided to skip one of his jobs so they could make the point that he had worked at prestigious academic schools. Guess which school they skipped...
