  1. If he's our resident expert on personality disorders, I'd hope that he's updated to the DSM V by now
  2. There's the Roschan QB-->RB story on the bingo card
  3. Already got Westlake QBs and Childhood photo on the bingo card before the first play
  4. Justin Fields threw 2 picks tonight. Do not want Yurcich. \Surly
  5. Will always be one of the best stories I've ever read. The consecutive "I lift my head to look out the back of the truck" gets me every time
  6. I have a lot of friends that attend West Florida from my time stationed in Pensacola. Go Argos!!!
  7. Technically, Jason Washington does still have a job with us.
  8. I thought it was pretty well known that Joe Brady is calling the plays now. No one seriously expected him to come in to teach an offense, and some old guy is gonna call plays in an offense that he's never run before, right? Actually, now that I think of it, I'm not sure what Entsminger even does.... Plus, there's a significant difference between Burrow this year vs last year. I subscribe to the theory that Brady made Burrow, not the other way around. If Brady came on as OC, I'd be ecstatic about that
  9. At my current overseas command, we have a big event on the day before the game with a kids, then women's, then men's army vs navy flag football game. Last year's game drew 850 spectators and we had the cheerleaders from the Baltimore Ravens flown in along with two former Ravens players. Rumor has it that Warren Sapp and Marshall Faulk are gonna flown in this year. For those of us that didn't go to the academies, it's a cool way to embrace and participate in the Army/Navy rivalry and brotherhood. Go Navy! Beat Army!
  10. I remember hearing that for Dele when he was being recruited, but not for Fillinger
  11. I'll be at the game... It'll be my annual one game I'll get to go to. Tried earlier in the season, but couldn't get leave approved, so this one was my last chance.
  12. I'm thinking more that our play caller is fucking terrible at scheming guys open on 3rd down when the defense drops 8, so no one was open
  13. Slight correction as my Panthers will be taking on Lake Travis next Friday in San Antonio, not Judson Weslaco sweeps McAllen as Weslaco High squeaks by Navy RB commit Campbell Speights (brother Trevor currently plays RB for Stanford) and McAllen Memorial while Weslaco East takes down McAllen Nikki Rowe. Weslaco now goes up against Austin: Weslaco vs Lake Travis, East vs Westlake. As hard as it is for me to admit as a Weslaco High alum... Can't disagree with anything you said about Coach Burgett. He gets the most out of his guys and is consistently one of the top teams in the RGV. He's evolved his offense... Still runs power football, but instead of running toss sweeps out of Power I, now he has very unique shotgun formations designed to create better angles for his blockers and create numbers advantages. It's obvious to see what's coming, but it's still hard to stop.
  14. Really cool article from The Athletic on Pop from guys who didn't spend very much time on the team "Keith Langford (2007-08, 2 games): I’m not a Spurs fan by any means. But I’ll defend them tooth and nail like I am a fan. That’s how impactful my experience and time was."
  15. In 5A/6A in the valley, since the first two rounds are typically against valley teams (or Corpus/Laredo), the first round is hosted by higher seed and the second round is a coin flip for home (sometimes they agree on a neutral site in the middle, but more often it's hosted by one of the teams). To take it a step further, my senior year, we played SA Madison in the 3rd round (4 hour one way trip). My coach wanted to flip for home/home, their coach wanted a neutral site, so they flipped to see which one it would be (flip for home or neutral site). We won that flip, which meant we were gonna flip for home site. We won that flip as well, so they had to make the drive to the RGV to play.
  16. Looks like the next Jamaal Charles, imo.
