  1. Draymond sign and trade for ayton, any takers? Klay's career shooting percentage dropping a point per game in this series.
  2. Dude . . . How much time in the clock? You're slipping.
  3. Me too man, me too.
  4. This thread as good as ESPN game cast
  5. I won't be surprised if Boston moves him, but not for cp3. They might move him because he's a valuable asset that will bring back good return. I also don't think smart is out there demanding those game winning shots. That stat says more about Tatum and Brown than it does about Smart.
  6. LMFAO what Boston might have problems on their roster but smart ain't one of them. Top 5 defender with an adequate offensive game. At 38 CP3 is in no way shape or form an upgrade.
  7. Gotdamn KD been hanging out with Tatum? TF
  8. Tatum 0/10 at the half of elimination game. Smfh
  9. If you say so then it must be true. From a statistics standpoint even that stretch of time is a shallow data pool from which to draw the hard conclusions you're jumping to. And you're not defining quality, which makes it hard to have a reasonable discussion. If it's just anybody who has ever started an NBA game well okay, but it is the 16 players you listed from 2018-19, Brunson is the only "star" and the rest aren't really out performing their draft position by much. Let me ask it this way, if you were choosing the best player taken at every position of the draft in history, how many of those positions are filled from the past 2015 time frame?
  10. Small sample size leading to poor conclusion. The players today in general are much more skilled than years past, but I don't think the draft outcomes are that different. Just for grins, 1986 picks 25-50 had Mark Price, Dennis Rodman, and Jeff Hornacek. Kevin Duckworth was a reasonably successful player as well. Hell, Arvydas Sabonis was the 24th pick.
  11. Well, I guess I mean the lack of depth has hurt them. Those two guys conceivably match KD's 30pts/game between them and keep phoenix from having to start a bum like Okogie or give 25+ minutes to Shamet. Maybe Booker's production suffers a dip without the gravity KD exerts, but I don't think so. He's getting a lot of iso and making jump shots. It's also clear that Denver has stepped up their game this series. Jokic is doing Jokic things per usual, but Murray and MPJ and especially Gordon have been playing above their level from the regular season.
  12. How can they afford him though? If they're paying Luka and Kyrie $40M each, and another $50M is tied up in Bertans, Hardaway, Kleber, and Bullock there's nothing left. Maybe they don't sign Kyrie, but that's a painful epilogue to a wasted season. Maybe they get Phoenix to take Hardaway and Bertans in trade but then they have inherited Phoenix's problem of absolutely zero depth and no cap room to acquire any.
  13. Suns are going to struggle in the offseason. I guess they had to do it, but the bottom line is they overpaid for KD and that has hurt them in the playoffs and will continue to hurt them in the future. I also think they're just overpaying about a third of their roster -- Ayton, CP3, Shamet, Payne, and Craig. They are way overpaying him but I think they keep Ayton and try to re-work CP3's deal or just waive him. I'm not sure who would even be interested in Ayton at that price right now. I guess Dallas is always good for doing something stupid but not sure what they would send back in return. Maybe Memphis is willing to move on from Steven Adams in hopes of getting more switchable on defense and more offensive production. Not sure that helps the Suns much in the short term but Adams only has 2 years on more reasonable deal. Memphis would have to throw in a mid-level guy like Kennard to make the money work. The Shamet deal is not quite Bertans-level terrible but it's not a good value for the club. I'm not sure they can find better value in the short term but you can find similar production in younger players for less than what they're paying Cam Payne. Landale has probably played his way into a bigger paycheck in the offseason.
  14. Yeah it's really looking like he ain't it
  15. Warriors Lakers has been fun at times but the end of the game last night was just sad. The last 30 seconds the Warriors turned into a 4th grade YMCA team. I still feel that the PHX-DEN series is the de facto championship. Boston could provide a tough matchup but either team would roast the 6ers. We ain't even talking about the Heat now, c'mon. Lakers + refs could make it interesting in the Western Conf Finals but other than that the playoffs end when the Suns beat the Nuggets in six.
  16. It was a true WTF moment from jokic and one that makes me think less of him. He got an appropriate provident and that's okay but I think if Draymond has done that there's a definite suspension and people calling for criminal charges. Hell, if embiid did that there would probably be a suspension.
  17. Brutal loss for the Celtics
  18. It's funny how when Harden plays like a fucking MVP the entire 76ers team looks unbeatable.
  19. Are you guys serious right now? Laimbeer would not be worth a fuck in the modern NBA when he can't elbow and punch guys with impunity. Most hated on favorite basketball team -- Rondo, easily.
  20. At some point the refs are going to have to call Randle correctly. He got a foul called on zeller by pinning his arm and preventing the roll, then he elbows the fuck out of him and got zeller a tech on the retaliation.
  21. Very disappointed that Bam's development just stalled out. He's a good 2-way player, but he's just not developed into a best-player-on-contender type guy. Seems to be stuck in fringe-all-star status.
