  1. Why in the world would the Nets do that deal? They are getting royally fucked there.
  2. So the BKN management makes a colossal, historic fucking terrible trade for a guy that ultimately submarined the entire team and KD is not entitled to react to that in any way? "Presumably endorsed if not requested the Harden trade" == I know of no evidence to support my position but I'm going to make up a story that confirms my irrational belief. All KD has done basically is declared he has a lack of confidence in the direction the team is going and does not believe the current management is up to the task of correcting course. You act like he fucked the owner's wife and called Nash a racist. He just wants to work somewhere else. People getting upset about players wanting to move teams really say more about themselves than about the players.
  3. FFS, Kyrie was going to BKN without KD being involved at all.
  4. If NO is confident that Zion has bought into conditioning, which social media posts suggest to be the case, they should say no. They'll be a top 5 or 6 team in the West next year. If BI continues his momentum, CJ stays consistent, and Zion gives them 20/10 they could make some noise and be poised to be good for several years. Of course it's hard to bet on a massive man who relies on insane athleticism and has a history of knee and foot injuries. Which is also why BKN might balk.
  5. I'm surprised that the 3pt% is not better, but he is a guy I would be reluctant to trade. If I'm Phoenix I offer cp3 plus Ayton and picks before I offer Booker.
  6. In an alternate history the Spurs wait two days before trading Dejounte, see KD ask for a trade, and go ALL IN. They trade every pick for a decade to the Nets, along with 2 young athletic and versatile wings of their choice, and then sign Ayton and PJ Tucker as free agents. How many titles?
  7. People are going off on the Nets for pairing Kyrie with KD but let's get real, the only thing that sunk them was that fucking trade for Harden. They gave away young proven and rising talent along with several valuable picks for a guy who had willingly destroyed a franchise that bent over backwards for his every whim, who had demonstrated absolute disregard for keeping his body in condition to contribute at a high level, and who only ever thrived in pure iso basketball with him as the sole focal point. They would have done just as well if they had traded for Paul Pierce again.
  8. Why did they throw in Landale? Really thought he was a chance to be a contributor as a stretch 4-5 guy.
  9. I'd love to see him go to Miami, Denver, or Portland. Of those Portland makes the least sense as they can't offer enough and aren't good enough. Denver could roll with KD, Murray, and joker playing 3 on 5 and probably make the playoffs. So let them send every pick they can along with 3 starters. Miami, I don't know what they would be willing to offer. Can't see them giving up bam so maybe herro as the centerpiece and a ton of picks.
  10. I would have loved Bamba on the Mavs before the Collins deal. Seems like the wrong fit now unless they can get him cheap.
  11. I think the T-wolves make sense trading for Dejounte, but how does he fit for the Knicks or Hawks? What do any of those teams have to offer that makes the Spurs better off than they would be just keeping him?
  12. Definitely think the Mavs would have been better off trying to land Bamba than trading for Wood.
  13. what, he's lactose intolerant?
  14. What's the rule on sign and trade for Kyrie next year. Can the Nets give him the extra year and extra money then trade him immediately? Maybe they have a gentleman's agreement that is they win it all they sign him to the max and run it back. If they fall short like this year they will max him and trade him to a preferred team who may be more open to taking him on after a full year of playing without drama. I know.
  15. Just crazy talking but theoretically Dallas and the Nets could do sign and trades for Kyrie and Brunson, right? Dallas might need to toss in filler to get the numbers right. Anybody take that deal?
  16. Reddit was talking about Dame and Nurkic posting shops of KD in Blazers gear. I could get behind that but Portland doesn't have enough to make that happen.
  17. They are probably better than the heat and on par with the sixers. I maintain the refs used a different rulebook that allows the Celtics to push KD around for 2 games, which is the whole story of that series. So I'd say they're closer to the Celtics than you think as well. If the bucks are healthy they are a cut above for sure.
  18. You're ignoring the fact that we're taking about the clippers. They are historically poorly managed and possibly cursed. They have to swing for the fences and take risks. I don't know that I think kyrie brings them a ring but I would bet a lot the Paul George won't either.
  19. He's a very talented headcase who you roll the dice on if you don't have any other path forward for a championship.
  20. b/c PG13 hasn't delivered shit for them and they want one more shot at capitalizing on Kawhi?
