  1. What are you going to spend that hour doing that's worth the stress of worrying about getting through security and shit on time? I fucking hate traveling but when we do we are at the airport a minimum of two hours early. And b/c we're often at SeaTac flying east that means 5AM a lot of times. Fuck it, I've got coffee and lots of books I want to read. Totally worth it to be there early and wait.
  2. From the desk of NeverHappeningGM: Pels send Zion and the Lakers pick to OKC for both OKCs picks this year. I think both teams end up better off, but Pels would probably have to include a future pick since Zion is bolting first chance unless he agrees to a sign-trade deal for the rookie max extension.
  3. Well, he dropped 30 on 14/21, so ...
  4. Nah, the current format creates incentive for the teams on the fringe to still fight for the 7/8 spot rather than sliding to the 9/10 since 7/8 seed only need to win one game but 9/10 have to win two to get in the playoffs. I think they've nailed this format. Plus, not going to argue against more basketball to watch.
  5. I wouldn't say Adams is a worse matchup than Zubacs was. Memphis should handle the wolves pretty easily.
  6. Is Ja Morant 26 or something?
  7. KAT is overrated, mostly by himself. Classic case of $100 skills, ten cent head. KAT for Gobert is interesting, but probably not enough without Utah throwing in significant additional assets. And they don't have their own 1st round draft pick until 2024, I think. That's too far down the line for Minnesota's development timetable, I think. I also fucking hate Patrick Beverly. He's the Harden of defense -- plays the wrong way and gets rewarded for it. Makes the game ugly by forcing the refs to either call him on his bullshit or give him what he wants. Can't stand watching games he's in, especially when the announcers start slobbering over him.
  8. The most interesting thing about that article is the author's omission is fuck Kawhi Leonard. He's a microcosm of the whole premise of the article.
  9. More like d'oh d'oh, amirite? Really sucks for Luka though. I think the calf strain is a smoke screen.
  10. FIFY. I've seen them put the clamps on for short stretches in the past month.
  11. Ain't nobody trading Kyrie Irving for no got damn Rudy gobert. C'mon man
  12. What's better? It takes 20, 30 minutes tops. It's 5 minutes from the house. My hands stay clean. It's cheaper than the shop I go to for real shit. What's the down side? Yes they try to upsell on all the things, but I don't bite.

One of those is Gobert and one is a current Nets player. One makes a ridiculous $35M/yr and one <$2M/yr. There's a difference, but not an order of magnitude difference there.
  14. Agree with all that. If Gobert is your second best player you ain't doing shit. My guess is they hold onto Mitchell and try to deal Gobert and one of Clarkson and Conley. Not sure what the market for Gobert would be. Best fit might be the Mavs, but I'm not sure they'd be willing to give up much for him. Doesn't do much for any other contender, I don't think. Maybe Philly decides to go with a jumbo lineup, letting Embiid get more mismatches on a 4 or pull a 5 away from the basket for Gobert to catch lobs. You almost have to imagine a zone defense with those two playing together though. Not sure it works in the modern NBA. Conley would be a great pickup for the Bulls, Cavs, Heat, Nets, and, of course, Memphis. He'd have to play a bigger role for Chicago or Miami, but in a sixth man role for the Cavs, Nets, or Memphis he's the ultimate luxury. (I'm assuming the Bulls would have to include Lonzo to get Conley.) Nets might not have enough to trade unless the Jazz want Simmons.
  15. Don't tug on Superman's cape and don't talk shit to Mitch about the Spurs.
  16. Doe doe is his nickname. Coaches, players, the media... Everyone calls him that. Who calls the 4th best player on a middling playoff team by some nickname?
  17. I don't think Jaylen routinely dribbling off his foot was some playoff seeding strategy.
  18. I know everyone is focusing on the Wolves trying to lose a meaningless game, but Jaylen Brown completely fell apart in the 4th quarter to lose to the Bucks in a game that maybe not meaningless. He completely gave the game away with sloppy ball security possession after possession.
  19. You routinely try and make "Dodo" a thing and you have the gall to comment on how dumb another poster seems?
