  1. Got around to trying some Spindletap Hop Gusher this week. Liked it, certainly on the citrusy side though. Also picked up a 4 pack of Tupps Brewery Full Grown Nick Holiday Imperial Stout. Very similar to their Pumpkin Ale I had a while back which was good. Pricing still seems to be a bit high for their beers but maybe it just be that way in McKinney.
  2. We are becoming what we always accused Tech of being, all offense and very little defense. This likely won't change any time soon I'm afraid.
  3. Oh no, it's getting to the beer coolers!
  4. I have sailed out of there quite a bit, used to look at the water mark on the flagpole from Christmas of '91(?) and think holy shit , that will never happen again. I was wrong.
  5. Man, those shots of the turbulent water at Max Starcke Dam are truly "nature you scary" worthy.
  6. Been watching the footage from there, that bridge has been getting hammered all morning.
  7. Anybody else see the resemblance of Dicker's smile/smirk after the kick to that of the spooly- haired Victorian looking dude gif that gets used here all the time? Don't know what the gif is from but the slow, shit eatin' grin came to mind as soon as they did the close up of Dicker.
  8. So does he go work for Bob the bartender? Cause he ain't Kentucky/SEC ready!
  9. To be fair, he didn't fall off the truck. He just drove it to town.

  11. Put it on a throw pillow?
  12. Had a Swifty draft at Pieous Pizza yesterday and it was really good. Hopefully my HEB has it stock tomorrow.
  13. Taking a break from IPA's so I picked up some Bell's Octoberfest Marzen and Tupps Full Grown Jack Imperial Stout. I really like the Bells, 1st Octoberfest of the season for me and looking forward to trying more. Don't normally drink much stout , and the Tupps with the pumpkin spice and 12.1% is …. a bit on the heavy side. But in a good way.
  14. 'member the 12th potato? I 'member.
  15. Tried this last night. Reminded me of Yellow Rose, in a can.
  16. I bet ol' DeLoss Dodds had a pseudo boner this weekend knowing that Mizzou, aggy, and Corn all got there asses handed to 'em . Don't think Colorado played, but really no hate for them anyway.
  17. They are definitely a talented band and put on a great show. Saw them for the 1st time at the old Austin Aqua Fest and was blown away. Their cover of Bertha on the Grateful Dead Tribute Album is really good. As mentioned upthread there are so many talented people listed it's trivial, but fun, to state who is the best.
  18. I would add Allen Toussaint to this list. From the 50's until he died in 2015 he wrote some great songs, mostly made famous by others but had a substantial solo career. I really regret not seeing him at the Paramount in Austin about a year before he died. Too many artist to list, but his songs were covered by a wide range of people.
