  3. I grew up about 45 minutes south of Rochester and my summer job in college was at the Genesee Brewery next to the falls. Every employee received 2 cases of beer a month. Not to mention the free beers during and after work. I also attended basketball camp at RIT as a high school student. It was my first exposure to people who were deaf. We would try hitting on the college girls attending summer session or the ones there for figure skating camp. Good times. Drive her to Erie then take an Uber to the Cleveland airport? Is there an exception for taking a family member to college?
  4. I’ve been browsing real estate listings. $300K goes a long way.
  5. The younger brother of a girl I hooked up with in HS ended up a few years later killing a girl he was dating. He was 18 at the time. Shot her in the back of the head at a canyon overlook while she was saying how much she loved him. She was a few years older than him and was pushing for them to get married. He obviously had some mental health issues. After be shot her, he realized what he had done and tried to pick her up. When it was clear she was dead, he took off in her car and went to his HS basketball game. The coach, a guy I used to play hoops with, saw the kid crying on a bench, holding the gun. He told the coach to take it before he uses it on himself. The kid had stolen the gun he ending up using and had shown it to a friend in hopes he would get turned in.
  6. On the topic of the American flag and the national anthem :

  8. A friend of mine is a LT for the Oakland Fire Department and his crew responded to the shooting of the federal officers in Oakland. He said when they arrived on scene, the cops were really scared and you could see it in their eyes.
  9. If you end up heading towards the baseball HOF, make a detour to the Adirondack Mountains/Lake George/Saratoga Springs areas. Lots of camping and lake activities. Also, some French-Indian War/Revolutionary War-era forts.
  10. Perfect time to play “escaped convict” with the wife
  11. We stayed at Tulemar in July/August 2018. There were some days with brief showers in the afternoon/evenings with only one night having a heavy downpour. We were at the beach and pool every day and went on a bunch of excursions throughout the week.

  15. “This miracle cure is based on six subjects, which does not give me a great deal of confidence,” said Hank Greely, a bioethicist at Stanford University, said of hydroxychloroquine. “This study is promising, provocative and worth following-up on, but it is nothing more than that.” https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-03-21/trump-pushes-malaria-drug-for-covid-19-but-evidence-is-lacking
  16. Yeah. I’m pretty sure that’s the winner.
  17. It was the picture I was given by the guy
  18. If I get multiple entries, I’ll do a pool to determine a winner and send the person $50 via PayPal or Venmo.
  19. The guy in the picture is part of a weekly 35+ pick-up basketball game I’ve been playing in for the last 10 years. I’m the old guy of the group and have zero photoshop skills. Any help inserting his pic into funny/embarrassing situations is much appreciated. Figure you assholes have some time on your hands these days.
  20. I’m in Oakland. Glad I had some edibles delivered last night and liquor is sold in grocery stores. I have 1.75l bottle of Jameson, a handle and a half of Tito’s, 2 cases of beer, and a closet full of wine. I better hit up the store tomorrow to make sure I have enough booze. Probably pick up a brisket, as well.
  21. I have a family trip (wife, 2 kids, and my parents) to Paris, Normandy, and London scheduled for end of May/early June. Flights and rooms were booked months ago. My parents are 77 and 83 and have never been to another continent. They have been super-excited for this trip. Contemplating when the go/no-go call needs to get made.
