  1. Lift tickets and lessons for the kids are secured. I've been jogging/cycling/box jumps trying to get my old ass in better shape. These people cruising around out there today with no lift lines are living the dream: https://www.skicb.com/the-mountain/mountain-conditions/mountain-cams.aspx
  2. Holy shit. The BBs have spilled out of the box and are scattered across the floor. It’s glorious.
  3. "It's not hard." After all, who doesn't have 640,000 acres of wasteland just hanging out in their RE portfolio?
  4. The power of the Surl knows no bounds.
  5. Have you seen these composting disposal systems? I need them to get a bit cheaper, but our house is on a septic system and I loathe cleaning out the drain screen that keeps all the junk from going into the septic. https://sepurahome.com/products/sepura
  6. My wife and daughter are massive T Swift fans. I'm not crazy about most of her music, but I went to the movie a few weeks ago because my daughter asked me to go. I left more impressed with her than I thought was possible. She's an impressive performer, business woman, human being, etc. that comes across as very confident and powerful while still having compassion and empathy for all the people around her. Some of the Swifties that are old enough to vote are the type of women who organize and are active politically already. (my wife is at least) They also have enough money to support candidates and causes financially as well. But getting the Swiftie machine spun up will bring a ton of new voters into the fray. The long and short of it is, small-faced Charlie poking this bear is one of the most self destructive things that the GQP could do going into '24. Maybe 2nd only to nominating Dotard as their POTUS candidate again.
  7. Ohhhhh, I don’t know about those. Looks like a very similar design.
  8. Those look like Mill Scale smokers. #want
  9. Ahh man, hate it when that happens. I’ve got a free place to stay at CB so that’s why we are headed there. I guess I’ll call the office again and hope to get someone more helpful. Seems like there has to be a way to buy lift tickets for 3 days of skiing spread out over 6 days.
  10. Dumb question amnesty - going to CB the week after Christmas and trying to figure out the best way to do the lift tickets. The Epic pass won't work because some of those days will be restricted days. We will only ski 3 or 4 of the days we will be there and I doubt they will be consecutive days, but the CB site tries to sell you consecutive days when buying a 4 day pass. It also says you can get refunds for any unused days if you request before 5pm on the last day of the pass. Should I just buy 6 day passes and get a refund for the unused days on our last day of skiing? Do they scan your ticket every day and know if the days in-between went unused? I called and talked to someone at the ticket office yesterday and the guy was nice and friendly, but also seemed a little overcooked and he couldn't really answer my question.
  11. I really enjoyed this, thank you for posting. I do business with a lot of people from London and they really take it to a whole different level. It’s such a central part of their culture. I’ll be spending a few days with 15-20 of them next week at an annual golf trip and it’s always shocking how many “units” these dudes put away in a day. I stopped trying to keep up a few years ago, it was a hopeless effort that made for some really awful 8 am tee times.
  12. How long until one of the Crazy Eight gets bored and introduces the MTV just to reinsert themselves into the news cycle?
  13. The whitewashing of Jan 6 infuriates me more than anything else right now. I have friends (Trump supporters) that were pissed in that moment and even agreed he should be impeached. After all the gaslighting they’ve been subjected to they now think Jan 6 is way overblown by the Democrats.
  14. I’ve heard this too. My response has been - Who put forward the Motion to Vacate? Who agreed to the rules that allowed one chucklefuck to introduce the MTV? <blank stare>
  15. “You’re eating the wrong faces!” Brian yelled at the leopards.
  16. Some family friends had an 86 CJ-7 that they let us run around in was in high school. I got nostalgic a while back and went through the same process you did. Crazy what a clean one goes for. My pops bought a 79 CJ-5 for ~$2,500 around 2002. It ran good but had the typical Jeep bugs here and there. He put $1,500 into it and sold it 4 or 5 years later for $5,000. It looks like the CJ-5s aren't quite as much as the 7s, but they are also older and have a popcorn fart for a back seat. https://classics.autotrader.com/classic-cars-for-sale/jeep-cj_5-for-sale?models=jeep.cj-5,jeep.cj-7&sort=price asc It would be fun to have one to run around in this time of year though.
  17. You're almost there Marsha! Just keep staring at what you wrote (maybe try cross-eyed) and maybe you'll realize what this data might be telling you.
