  1. Palmer keeps talking about bringing in backups. I think the backup punt returner is also a starter, plus you don’t want to throw someone out there to try and catch punts. We play a lot of people, especially at the skill positions.
  2. Yeah, but they were really great in the closed doors scrimmages…
  3. During that one rotation, those are your pin hitters. They can't seem to find any offense out of the middles so, especially when out of system, the setters are going to the pins. In the aggie game that was a disaster. Back row attack with Skinner is a great option if in system at all.
  4. As good as Sark is at designing an offense and play calling, the run game looks very predictable or at least not too varied, in terms of type of plays called. Situationally there is good timing calling run plays when the defense isn’t expecting them, but imagination in the type of run plays seems lacking. You typically see 2 or 3 types of plays called to either side during a game. Seems like there is room to open the play book a bit more there.
  5. The short, west coast passing game is becoming too predictable. They are not making teams pay for sitting on all the shallow routes. Until Ewers shows he can beat defenses downfield or at least on medium depths throws, it’s going to be tough to move the ball against good defenses.
  6. Too many holes in this lineup.
  7. That rotation is shockingly bad.
  8. This rotation is fucking killing us.
  9. Bad rotation to end it.
  10. What a run!
  11. Block has to get up quicker. Aggies are quick setting all their hitters.
  12. Aggies are playing out of their minds in this set.
  13. Terrible rotation
  14. Rutherford and Skinner are hot. Feed them.
  15. And serve receive.
  16. Need to at least get some hands on Lednicky’s swings.
  17. Aggies going quick every time to the middles. You would think the block would figure out.
  18. Up until the last 2 games, I thought Quinn was clearly ahead of Arch in his ability to diagnose coverage's pre-snap, and to get to his 2nd and 3rd reads on passing plays. Arch, on the other hand, had the advantage of using his legs, and throwing the deep ball. So it seemed to me Quinn had a better overall grasp of the offense and how to get the ball to the correct target and to move the ball down the field, where as Arch was the better athlete and could make some things happen because of his athleticism, but might be more inconsistent due to lack of experience. But, after the last 2 games, it looks like Quinn has regressed mentally and lost confidence. He is hesitant and playing to not make mistakes, which of course is leading to more mistakes. It didn't really matter against OU, but Georgia is a different animal. Georgia sped him up and really got into his head. If he can't get his confidence back and his head straight during the Vanderbilt game, it needs to be Arch time. I wouldn't give up on Quinn yet, but he needs to be on a short leash.
  19. I’m getting that on Tenn vs Alabama game.
  20. It certainly isn't a given that OU can win another game in the SEC this season. If they lose the rest of their conference games this year, Venables might be gone. This is his 3rd year and his offense is hot garbage. He has completely fucked up their QB situation, and their offense. He is at least is partly responsible for how that has been handled. He might get another year by replacing his OC, but I wouldn't count on it. I can't see their decision makers being very patient with him. Good DC but in over his head as HC, imo. On the other hand, maybe they are dumb enough to let him stay a while. They're due a down cycle.
  21. This team just doesn’t have the chemistry at this point. They can look good at times, but too often look like they do in this second set. Defense is average, block is not good, and hitters just not terminating.
  22. Middle block is way late on the pin sets.
  23. Gordon talking shit after every play.
  24. Offense is bad. New middles are a work in progress.
  25. It's all so predictable. Let's air all his dirty laundry after he has left them standing at the alter. Had he turned down the UT job and stayed at A&M, he would have been praised as an Aggie god. I mean no coach, certainly not Nick Saban or even Mike Leach, has ever supposedly mistreated a player and pissed off mommy and daddy.
