  1. Not to derail this thread from its meandering and random whining, but are there any actual 2025 recruits that we are still in play for?
  2. Point taken but, to be fair, I think we all love laughing at them.
  3. Just wanted to remind everyone here that we will be in our second consecutive playoff and all the other teams can go to hell. I'm not wishing good for any of them. Screw the other SEC teams, Notre Dame and their NIU loss, the Big 12 losers, the Miami trash, the slow ass B1G and all the other garbage. And a bonus for aggy sitting at home watching us play in Atlanta for an SEC championship in our first year after we went to their overrated tackle box and denied them the opportunity to make it to their first championship game and resolutely knocked them out a chance to make their first playoff. Plus we beat OU's sorrow ass and piggy. All is right with the world.
  4. Good grief, some of you could put my ex-wife to shame when it comes to complaining. Quinn has pretty much locked up a second straight playoff appearance, has us in position to embarrass aggy and go to the SEC championship game and all you want to do is bitch. I get that it's frustrating at times because he has shown flashes of domination followed by times of stalled out offense but take a moment to realize where the heck we are and that we are 10-1.
  5. Ladies and gentlemen, members of Longhorn Nation, It is my duty and privilege to type before you today, as the proud spirit of the Forty Acres summons us once more to the field of valor. Across the plains of Texas, there lies a rival—an ancient foe—who dares challenge the burnt orange banner. Yes, I speak aft. Let us not mince words, for we are not gathered here to exchange pleasantries or to entertain illusions of equality. We are here to proclaim, with every ounce of resolve and every fiber of our being, that The University of Texas shall march forth to victory, leaving no doubt in the hearts of men, women, and weirdo aggy alike. What do they have? A dog? A sheepish yell? A tradition of misplaced enthusiasm for all things mediocrity? They may revel in their midnight yells and choreographed rituals, but we have something far greater—brains, brawn, and an unshakable belief in our destiny. For where they waver, we rise. Where they falter, we soar. Where they cling to delusions, we forge an unrelenting future. We shall not be intimidated by their maroon-clad posturing. We shall not yield to their agricultural arithmetic or their boasts of bygone days. Instead, we shall meet them on the gridiron with the ferocity of Bevo himself. We shall drive them back, yard by yard, goal by goal, until their spirit is shattered and their resolve is broken. We shall fight in the trenches, we shall fight through the air, we shall fight with precision and purpose, and we shall emerge victorious. We shall leave Kyle Field knowing that the might of the Longhorns is unparalleled, our spirit unyielding, our triumph inevitable. Let them come with their fake army and their chants, their pride and their pretenses. For every aggy who steps forward, a Longhorn shall rise to meet them. We shall drown out their whoops with the resounding roar of “Texas Fight!” and silence their voices with the thunder of our victory. So let aggy hear this, loud and clear: we are Texas. We are the champions of this great state, the standard-bearers of excellence, the embodiment of triumph. And when the final whistle blows, it shall not be they who celebrate beneath the Texas sky. It shall be us—the Longhorns—standing tall, our heads held high, and our horns raised in glorious victory. Now, onward to the battle, my friends, and let history record that on this coming day, Texas stood mighty, Texas stood proud, and Texas went in dry on aggregate.
  6. End of a rainbow is where you’ll find Kyler Murray.
  7. No CR, but why is his skin orange?
  8. The rare non-sarcastic FIFY. Nice.
  9. It truly is amazing the things the human body can build up a tolerance to. That one guy who is invulnerable to snake venom, aggy to embarrassment, etc.
  10. Brent Venables corrects people and says, “pig in a blanket,” whenever they say the word kolache.
  11. Brent Venables doesn't like Tex Mex because "cilantro tastes like soap."
  12. Brent Venables thinks Brian Bosworth deserved an academy award.
  13. What is it about "Maroon and White" that makes people delusional?
  14. While my post was mostly an attempt at humor, I think we can agree that there is certainly some NIL money being paid solely because an athlete being associated with a particular team makes people with money happy just like I'm sure the head honchos at Casa Olé laughed every time they saw José Lima wearing a sombrero, doing a shimmy and singing, "Casa Olé, Fresh Today! Every Day! Casa Olé!!!"
  15. Here is how understand NIL works using a real world example: Back in 1998 and 1999, José Lima was a starting pitcher for the Houston Astros, winning 37 games in two seasons and was selected to the 1999 National League All-Star team. This was so called "Lima Time" rocking and Casa Olé (Fresh today, every day!) signed Lima to a deal in which he appeared in television commercials promoting the fine Mexican cuisine and ambiance offered by the Houston area restaraunt chain. In 2000, José's heat lost its spice and he had a league worst 6.65 ERA and gave up 48 enchiladas. The Astros traded him the following season. Casa Olé paid him to advertise for them based on the idea that his successful pitching would cause fans to choose Case Olé for their fine dining needs and purchase more tacos, burritos, green sauce and the like. Once he was no longer an effective pitcher for the Astros, his value to Casa Ole deteriorated like old queso. His was not paid to play even if his value was derived from his successful play. In my mind, college sports NIL is the same. Being an athlete creates value but the contract does not require athletic performance. A specific player is valuable to local business seeking an NIL partner while a member of the local team. Once that player disassociates themselves from the local team, then value goes away.
  16. https://therealstreamhub.site/showthread.php?tid=1288 Here are streams for the games this week. Might have to try out a few of the links.
  17. Notre Dame is so perennially overrated they probably just get the 25 ranking to just miss this list even when they have four or five losses.
  18. Imagine being so stupid that you don’t understand that primaries are how voters of a party get to democratically decide who the nominee is but, because he is polling bad, the party pushes him out and replaces him with the candidate of the choice of a few individuals.
  19. Elko’s whole aura just screams mediocrity, which is just so on brand for aggy.
