  1. I'm team Serbia and Canada. I can't stand half of the US roster.
  2. Oof. Can you get new floor registers that can handle the weight? They make steel ones.
  3. Of course he did, so Danny could make a little money off the spoiled brats.
  4. All the cabling is already run (really just a smurf tube from behind the tv to behind the media cabinet for HDMI), and drywall is in, so location is set. At this point I can't get HDMI run to a different location without spending more than the media cabinet cost. Clean look is very important. I'll probably just cut 2 holes in the back. One for an exhaust fan and one for air and speaker wires, plugs, etc.
  5. whole thing is solid wood. I'm trying to limit the number of holes I have to cut in this thing.
  6. True, although with that unit on top, i can probably just cut a rectangular hole and leave it open, no?
  7. Yeah, this is our forever house so she definitely took the lead on design. I just get to pay for everything.
  8. I had assumed I would just install something like this on the back of the cabinet, but if I don't have to cut holes, that's better. https://www.amazon.com/AC-Infinity-AIRPLATE-Cooling-Cabinets/dp/B009CNR0I6/ref=pd_pss_dp_d_1_d_sccl_2_6/139-9268094-7755965?pd_rd_w=V5HBW&content-id=amzn1.sym.427cdbb1-779c-4be6-8c9b-81ddadc2ade4&pf_rd_p=427cdbb1-779c-4be6-8c9b-81ddadc2ade4&pf_rd_r=P40JSKN5VTS1BJRM6QDS&pd_rd_wg=cwyss&pd_rd_r=9751c4f8-88a4-4eb3-930c-524af4957508&pd_rd_i=B009CNR0I6&th=1
  9. That is slick. Do I still need to cut vent holes out the back of the cabinet?
  10. Yep. Wife picked it all out. I'm just working with what she chose. She wasn't happy when I told her the AVR was going in there until I mentioned that it doesn't have to and can sit on top. Turns out inside is just fine!
  11. Solid wood doors. It's this cabinet:
  12. I really need to replace the gasket on my BGE. I bought a Billows from Thermoworks but it won't work because my gasket is fried and it lets too much air in.
  13. One more question on my setup. The AVR will be in a media cabinet with a solid door (planning on putting some kind of vent fan on the back for cooling). Do they still do the tiny IR receivers you can plulg in so your remotes will work, or is there a better solution than that now?
  14. Yeah, I'm not sure what all that is about. Luka is an elite player. Could he be better if he got in better shape in the offseason? Sure. But the dude led the league in scoring this year and finished 3rd in MVP voting (and should have been second, IMO). I think he's the odds on favorite for MVP next year.
  15. I got banned from the Stars thread during their series with the Avs because little bitches complained to blacklab. He said he'd perma-ban me if I went back in there. So yes, they (you?) have been.
  16. Dallas fans have been all up in their fee fees the past month or so.
  17. Lots of people who bought cars with those are in prison.
  18. You're thinking of Shai, not Luka.
  19. I don't have a single piece of Apple anything in my house. Is that going to be an issue using AppleTV?
  20. Yep. Plug the Chromecast into one of the other HDMI ports and use the eARC port to connect the TV to the AVR is my plan.
  21. Chromecast has an external plug for power and plugs into the TV via HDMI. It will through eARC, I believe.
  22. Our media cabinet is 90" long. I need room on either end for the bookshelfs so they don't interfere with the screen, so 77 is the biggest that will fit comfortably. I'm coming from a 50, so it should be plenty big for me. Can't do 2 subs because I only have one spot for it. Whether that's a good spot or a bad spot, that's the spot (immediately to the left of the media cabinet). For the Chromecast, I had envisioned that it would be plugged into the TV. Can you plug them into the AVR directly? Might simplify the audio and I'd only need to get the video to the TV via HDMI. I've read some folks having issues with the C3's eARC online, so plugging the Chromecast directly into the AVR would solve that.
  23. Finalizing my HT setup for the new house and I think I'm about there. Looking to do the following: 77" LG C3 television Haven't decided on the AVR yet (any recs?) SVS Ultra Evolution Center and bookshelf L/R (only doing a 3.1 system - will be probably 60% TV/movies and 40% music) SVS sub of some sort - probably get the biggest one the wife will let me get All content will be streaming, so I'm struggling a bit figuring out how that will go. Current plan is to hook up a Chromecast to the TV and then run audio (via eARC) to the AVR. Is that the easiest/best way to do it? Or is there a better way to do it?
  24. TIL Ant and Shai are better defenders than Derrick White and Jrue.😂
