  1. Copper snow stake was a bit extra this morning. Everyone got some snow, but an intense pocket sat right on top of Copper Mountain all night. This is 100% real. And the resort isn't even open yet.
  2. They don't like the results when they do that, either.
  3. Yeah, similar thing happened to my wife and BIL. Their dad died and before his body was cold, step mom's family had ransacked the place, taking valuable guns and his precious metal collection. Several of the guns actually belonged to my BIL and his dad was storing them for him. Never saw them again. But since he died without a will, wife and BIL did get half of the house.
  4. Also, it's been a long time since I bought speaker wire. Does the gauge matter for short (~10 feet or less) runs?
  5. Correct. There is no world where he would ever live up to his end of any deal. So no deals.
  6. Can someone walk me through what I need for an IR repeater and how I would set it up? This shit is confusing.
  7. Isn't he the same asshole that got banned from American Airlines right after the pandemic because he wouldn't wear a mask onboard the plane?
  8. This was probably the first time ever that I wanted Max to win just to punk Lando.
  9. And Lawson finished in the points ahead of Checo.
  10. DC will be locked down tight. There will be no riots this time.
  11. I need to watch the White Lotus again. Both for Jennifer Coolidge as well as Aubrey.
  12. If this is all real and not a shitpost, I feel for you. Not a fun situation.
  13. I have no idea. The state only brought in roughly $400k from lion tags, so it's not a huge loss. I'd much rather pay more for my fishing license to make up for it. We need more Aubrey.
  14. There is no evidence that mountain lion hunting is necessary for population control purposes. I'd ask why we should allow it at all? Other than out of staters (who financed the majority of the anti-127 campaign) who want to shoot a trophy in CO.
  15. Dude, I live 15 min from Winter Park and I usually wait until mid to late December, depending on snow. I avoid the week between Christmas and New Year's like the plague, though.
  16. So you're OK with 'hunters' sending out a pack of dogs to tree the lions just so the hunters can follow behind and blast it out of the tree? How is that hunting? Per CPW, that is how over 90% of all mountain lion hunts are done. And nobody is coming for deer/elk/moose hunters. I've got zero issues with them.
  17. Oh, I know. MIL used to have one that I couldn't stand (and I love dogs). It always tried to bite me whenever I saw it.
  18. Well, yeah. He's also snack sized. Gotta get a big dog and then you only worry about coyotes and mountain lions.
  19. White Ribbon of Death is the term you're looking for. Avoid at all costs. Only 2-3 runs will be open and they will be extremely crowded.
  20. Holy shit, Avs injuries are off the charts right now. Missing 6 of their top 9 offensive players. Nuke, Drouin, Lehki, Landy and now you can add Colton (on IR with a broken foot) and Wood to that list.
  21. I voted for it. It's not hunting and humans don't need to manage the populations through hunting - the lions manage their own population and will not reproduce if there isn't enough food. California has banned hunting since 1990. They have a similar density of lions to other western states and they have had roughly the same number of attacks as CO has over the past ~35 years. Hunting mountain lions is completely unnecessary. And on a personal note, I think there is something wrong with people who want to kill a mountain lion just to kill it.
  22. True, you just get more of all that in the mountains vs the suburbs. And you get mountain lions, too.
  23. That one was fucking hilarious. If you live in the mountains and want to keep your pets alive, you keep them inside. There's a lot more than just mountain lions that want to snack on kitty.
  24. Mountain lion hunting is about to be banned and the out of state hunters who come here to shoot them are big mad about it. They use dogs to tree the lions and then shoot them out of the tree. It's not hunting. The ads against it are entertaining, though. They would make you think mountain lion attacks on people are a regular occurrence. There have been 25 of them since 1990 in the entire state.
