  1. I don't get people like this at all. What were they expecting? Good on KD for taking the high road.
  2. And yet the Nuggs and Thunder have already played all 4. Weird.
  3. Yeah, their first half schedule was brutal. Lots of back to backs, too. Hope they can stay healthy.
  4. Giving a person like Trump the power and prestige that comes with being President must be like injecting heroin for a normal person. He needs that again and will never let go of it if he gets it again.
  5. I can't stand Boston, but I hate the Oilers more. Go Bruins!
  6. Also looking for input on what receiver to run. Just need it to power the speakers and be able to connect to it via wifi/bluetooth to play music. I probably don't need to be in Marantz land. I've got a Yamaha right now that has been perfectly good. Not a fan of Onkyo after having a couple die prematurely (which precipitated the Yamaha purchase).
  7. Probably 70% TV and 30% music. And music is streaming stuff, not sitting down listening to lossless files or anything like that. This isn't a critical listening setup, I just want clear dialog, nice background noises and a sub to round out the sound for me. Honestly, even the PB-1000 might be overkill for what I want, but it's a huge open room so I'll probably go bigger on that end. AVS Forum is information overload for me.
  8. Kids are grown, so nobody will be touching them once they are in place. But that's good to know.
  9. Got the wife's buy-in on doing a 3.1 (bookshelves and center on top of the console) with a sub next to the console, just need to make sure all speakers are piano black since the media console is black. SVS speakers and subs look nice and price is not too bad. With their current sale, I can get Ultra bookshelves, center and a PB-1000 sub for $2,300. Who else should I look at?
  10. Yep. In 2021 the options were white, black, silver and gray. That's it.
  11. Formula E CEO has already come out and said he will donate $250k to charity if anyone other than Max wins the WDC this year. I don't think he's in any risk of losing that money.
  12. Getting to the point with the remodel that I need to start thinking about speakers for the main room. I'm thinking of just doing a 3.1 system this go-round (haven't used the 5.1 system in my basement in years at this point). I just want something that sounds good and looks good for the wife. Any suggestions? The room has high vaulted ceilings, so surround isn't going to happen. We will have a long media console that is roughly 90" long and 25" tall so speakers will be visible, sitting either on top or next to the console. Wife wants them to look nice. I'll put the receiver in the media console. Not going to do a big sub, so maybe considering tower speakers for my right and left to add the bass there? I haven't looked at this shit in years. Have no idea what the current trends and good equipment are.
  13. It reminds me of the end of a Scooby Doo episode, TBH. Jut fucking lazy and stupid. This show started out strong in Ep 1 and just got worse and worse. Thank God it was only 6 episodes and not a lot more.
  14. Late May is a great time to do Utah and the Grand Canyon. Moab, Canyonlands, Arches, Zion, Capitol Reef and Bryce Canyon are all great spots to visit that time of year.
  15. He's tired of listening to Melo talk about how everyone in Denver is mean to him. So am I. Dude, you wanted out and you got out. Why are we supposed to love you after that? It's not like you won anything while you were here (or ever in your career outside of the Olympics).
  16. Honestly, that's too much to try and cram into 10 days. Utah and their national parks is 5-7 days at minimum by themselves. Same for southwest CO (Telluride, Ouray, Durango, Silverton, Mesa Verde, etc). And then trying to throw RMNP and the Stanley Hotel into the mix means you'll spend most of each day in the car. Zero chance you can include Yellowstone (that's it's own trip as well). I'd pick the area you want to see the most (Utah parks, SW CO, Yellowstone) and then plan a trip around that. The thought of trying to cram all that into one trip is giving me a rash.
  17. Drive the new Gwagen. You'll fit right in. I ski, but snowboarding boots are far more comfortable.
  18. Yeah, i don't know what changed but it's now 10k instead of 7k for the year. Still a good deal, but not Ed's deal. No 4x4 squared? I'm disappointed.
