  1. His name is "Scabby the Rat" because the employer is using scabs for labor (Non-union peeps) to save $. I greatly appreciate this tactic over banging wooden sticks and chanting for 8 hours straight ala CWA.
  2. I thought you were doing a Seinfield bit. Or being sarcastic. Been to OFR's and FR's back in my tourist days. Both were large slices of shit. If Famiglia's at 50th/Broadway was still there, I would walk past both for a piece of Albanian pizza.
  3. This. Dak Prescott looked pretty damn good his Rookie year.
  4. Sounds like a good possibility some of us may have...
  5. We live in a society that drives across town to save $0.02 per gallon of gas and waits an hour for a free taco at Taco Bell. If people want to romanticize the plight of the little guy, they are fighting a losing battle. I don't need my grocer or butcher to know my name. I want value and convenience because my time is a commodity. I don't care if my money is used to pay the light bill for someone's family or add an extension to a corporate VP's house. Times modernize and family owned businesses of this nature are a relic of the past. The argument in the OP is short sided. People don't bitch when a family owned Italian restaurant closes it's doors because Olive Garden came to town. (Beyond their own nostalgia) If the product being served is quality, people are happy to pay it. Those that want to save at the chain restaurants weren't your customer base anyway. That's capitalism at its core. If you can't compete with Goliath, take your bag of rocks home and move on to the next idea or location for your old one. Life isn't fair.
  6. Which is utter bullshit. If Sam gets it, you'd jack off
  7. Would be impressed if he noticed before Spring practice that he didn't have an OC
  8. Texans are known for being backwards, racist, uneducated hicks by people up north. Does that make it true? Every single NYer I’ve brought to Dallas or Houston has stated that they would love to live there and asks me why I left. Everyone has a misinformed opinion until they experience it. I’ve lived both as have several others that have posted. The asshole stereotype is as outdated as riding horses to school. NYers are blunt hence my stab you in the chest comparison and Texans will be polite to your face and then talk shit about you later hence my stab you in the back comparison. If you need someone to tell you in softer tones to “go fuck yourself”, NYC ain’t for you. On the flip side, they are the nicest and most helpful people I’ve been around. Everyone’s just trying to survive the bustle and high costs. That doesn’t fit your description of self-centered entitlement. Southerners just want to believe they have manners and Yankees don’t. Try saying “m’am” up here to a 40-something woman. Doesn’t have the politeness you’re accustomed to.
  9. Having lived in Texas for 35 years, and NY for almost 5, I can say that you're full of shit on both accounts. The difference between a Texan and a New Yorker is that a NYer will show you the knife and stab you in the chest while a Texan will stab you in the back.
  10. Guys, I don’t think I could bag Selena Gomez. Wanted to consolidate my thought into an existing thread
  11. This. Go suck a cock with your moral victories and everyone gets a participation ribbon bullshit. We got fucked
  12. Coaching made a catch out of bounds a catch to extend a drive?
  13. To be fair, he probably didn't know what a timeout was
