  1. Here is one: https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/moderna-covid-19-vaccines-safety-slightly-bests-pfizers
  2. For me, it was the timing of the infections and symptoms. I had my OG shots of Pfizer in April and May of 2021. I first tested positive for COVID on 12/31/21. So I attributed not getting COVID to my shots and getting masked up and realized that being vaccinated wasn’t foolproof…like using a condom. I got my booster on 1/17/2021. I was hospitalized on 2/4/2021 for 4 nights because I fell at work. I had a full gambit of lab work and scans done and a low B12 level was the verdict. I accepted that and took supplements daily. But, I still had lingering issues like randomly vomiting, migraines and gait issues that required me using a cane sometimes. Then, all hell broke loose in August. I am a type 2 diabetic, so I acknowledge that this may have played a part in things. I wasn’t very good at controlling my sugars at all. Other than that, I was in good health, albeit I was fat. Then I researched a little more and found that rare side effects of the boosters are strokes, heart attacks, blood clots and renal failure. I checked all of those boxes. Maybe it was getting older and not taking care of myself like I should have been post 40. But, for me, it raised a lot of questions. I’ve caught COVID 2X with 2 shots and a booster. My mom has the same, has never caught COVID and hasn’t experienced any health issues. I’ve had a few 30-40 something friends that had a similar experience to me. The patterns are concerning. In summary, fuck COVID
  3. Yes, I had a full neurological check. Everything was fine. I caught COVID on 12/31/21 after 2 shots. I got my booster on MLK day in 2022 and was hospitalized 3 weeks later because I couldn’t walk. I was diagnosed with a low B12 count and got better until 8/10/22 when shit hit the fan. I took multiple tests between the two COVID positive tests for work and to go out in NYC. Not sure what high road there is to take. I’ve said that it could just be a coincidence. I don’t know, with any amount of certainty, that the episodes are related. But, this is what happened to me and they are finding all of my symptoms associated with Pfizer shots. I just find it eerie that others are having the same issues. Nothing in my family history indicates any heart issues.
  4. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-022-10928-z Yes. There’s no long term data because, like with the shots themselves, there hasn’t been enough time to properly monitor them. Unlike the “wackos”, people just accept that the shots are safe despite the fact that we rushed them out a few months after we figured out what COVID was. I got 2 Pfizer shots and a booster. I’ve caught COVID twice, once while I was hospitalized. No one can definitively rule one way or the other. We didn’t figure out that blood transfusions may be bad until we gave a lot of people HIV.
  5. As a now 44 year old man laying here with a catheter sticking out of my chest for dialysis to get my kidneys to work again, and having to use a walker just to go to my fridge, I can tell you that I had strokes, heart attacks and a blood clot in my leg before my heart stopped 8X back in August. I was healthy before my booster shot. Maybe it’s a coincidence, maybe it’s real.

  7. We bought our kids brand new cars in 2020, make them pay for half the car insurance, pay for their health insurance, cell phones and charge each $400 a month in rent to live in our TX house with a pool in exchange for maintaining said house/pool since we live in NY. (Just paid the house off in June; purchased in 2001) My oldest has graduated college and makes $60K a year as a database admin. We paid for his college 100% and are paying for our youngest’s education for another 2 years. Their only bills are gas, internet and groceries. They both max out their 401K as a condition for cheap rent. They’re both good kids and we’ve engrained the importance of savings, good credit and working hard in them. Don’t see what’s wrong with giving your kids a leg up on life if you can.

  9. They were probably waiting in the drive-thru at Whataburger when the call came in.
  10. This just proves my theory that James Coney Island sucks ass
  11. I forgot to mention, always check the price of the flight before deciding to use points. There may be cheap airfare that makes more sense to buy rather than using points. Also, you need to learn the partners for Oneworld, Sky and Star alliances as sometimes using foreign airlines to fly a domestic flight is a more points efficient option. I don’t know Flex or CO very well, but Chase is pretty good with their transfer partner options.
  12. I’ll give you a tip: Wikipedia is your friend. You just have to choose your city and then see who flies there from where. For example: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Detroit_Metropolitan_Airport#Airlines_and_destinations As you can see, no one flies directly to Hawaii. So, you need to check the routing for Honolulu (Assuming that’s your desired destination): https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_K._Inouye_International_Airport#Airlines_and_destinations You can create your routing from DTW through Phoenix on Southwest. You can now book DTW-PHX-HNL on Southwest as a singular ticket or 2 if you need an extra day to make the routing schedule work. (Overnight in PHX with a morning flight to HNL for availability purposes) If that doesn’t work, you can break up your tickets if you can’t find availability using a single airline. For example, you can book DTW-LAX on United and then LAX-HNL on AA or Hawaiian using BA Avios. Why? Because BA is a Oneworld alliance partner meaning you are using BA Avios but flying on AA/HA metal. BA is also a Chase transfer partner. Here’s an example: https://thepointsguy.com/guide/british-airways-sweet-spot-hawaii/ There are several different cities that you pair HNL with. Most airlines have an interline agreement for your check-in luggage to transfer to your new flight. You won’t get that with Southwest, meaning that you will need to recheck you luggage in LA if you use a different airline on one of your routes. If you are splitting airlines, make sure that you have plenty of time to catch your next flight as you may need to change terminals. You can check beforehand by Googling “What terminal does XXX fly into PHX” to double check yourself. (Or use the # link next to your airline on Wikipedia) Most airport sites will tell you the distance between terminals to plan accordingly. It just takes some practice. The golden rule is to make sure that all your ducks are in a row, for the class/# of tickets you need, BEFORE transferring any points.
