It’s got a pretty cool soundtrack with bands like Mudhoney. My guess is the music rights are a fucking disaster because they weren’t permanent when the movie was made, and it’s just not possible to get them squared away to stream for what it would cost.

This was written by Weselyan Grads who graduated a few years ahead of me. To describe this as a comical but realistic expression of my time at Bates would be accurate. I played Ultimate with guys that looked exactly like half the cast. I even saw George Clinton at Colby.
  3. This is my take, although I have a soft spot for Alien 3 because it’s David Fincher’s first flick even if he disowned it, and Charles Dutton goes damn hard. Romulus has got the atmospheric’s in spades and some excellent jump scares/oh shit moments. They did a Good job of turning the creepy HR Giger factor to 11. Glad I saw it in the theater instead of Deadpool. This movie deserves a cinematography nomination for sure.
  4. There is zero chance this Supreme Court allows a tax on Unrealized Capitol gains. They’ll accept the argument the 16th Amendment doesn’t provide sufficient coverage.
  5. Fucking hang half a hundred. LFG.
  6. This is sorta how I imagine the night shift this morning:
  7. This place was fucking wild last night.
  8. He’s a god damn deep cut for me. As a swamp dweller.
  9. Jesus Fuck. Nothing says I’m with it and ready to take the helm like……….:.Leon Panetta.
  10. They don't play baseball because they are insightful wise people. They play baseball because they have 20/10 vision and can throw a ball hard. Mental horsepower is not really a requirement, or frankly, even a useful item.
  11. Just a sidenote: As an Eastern Time person, God-F*cking-Forbid anyone on the West Coast be forced to turn on a live TV event before 7 PM. The highlights of Biden's speech are great, but good lord, it's like the NCAA championships in starting way too fucking late.
  12. How you going to make it without Bob Barker?
  13. When people talk about a dark jedi/illuminati pulling all the strings in this country, Nancy Pelosi is likely as close as you will get.
  14. Fun Fact: Every GOP President since the end of WW2 has had a recession start on their watch. Every. Single. One. Only Truman and Carter had recessions begin during their terms. Eisenhower had 3!
  15. Yo. "Real Americans" don't take industrial butcher jobs. Last 50 years of corporate agriculture and race to the bottom, unregulated late stage Capitalism out front shoulda told ya.
  16. This is part of the reason why Democrat fortunes have revived in Michigan and Wisconsin: Conservative Snowbirds retiring to FL. Unfortunately it's happening in NC as well.
  17. Este. Do not repeat the mistakes of the 2016 Clinton Campaign. I remember going up to knock doors in PA in late October and the local coordinated campaigns were like "We've been screaming for resources for months while they open another office in NC"
  18. David Plotz has a vibe based theory that the campaign that is having more fun is winning the election, and that pretty much tracks in my experience. My personal feeling is the, possibly with the exception of 2016, the side that spends its time in the cross tabs attempting to unskew the polls is probably losing the election. We've seen that flip in the last 6 weeks.
  19. Look, as somebody who just spent two wonderful weeks in Europe, and is as prone to anyone to criticizing my country: I love America. I don't know who here wrote it a week or two ago: we often fail to live up to the American Dream, and yet we keep on striving and hoping and achieving. Every time I come home from international travel, I feel like my American heart grows a little more with pride and wonder. This country fucks.
  20. I suspect that's what John Robert's keeps telling the hard conservative 3: At somepoint, a Democratic president is going to tell the court "You enforce your decision, because I won't"
  21. The new Congress is sworn in on January 3. So if the Dems win control and their is a contested election, then in theory Jefferies would become acting president. But the Presidential Succession Act is a hot mess constitutionally, so the Supreme Court could rule both the Speaker and President Pro Tempore ineligible and it would fall to.....Anthony Blinken, if he had not resigned as Secretary of State, since cabinet officials don't technically lose their job at noon on inauguration, but rather by tradition resign (in lieu of being fired).
  22. It is if you are talking about Washington, DC. When you come in to DCA from the North, you fly over some of the wealthiest enclaves in America.
  23. It's super common for Officers. I had an in law who had to spend a miserable year in the Pentagon to get in his time as a Navy O-5 for retirement purposes. He hated living in DC away from the water, but as he described it "it's this bullshit everyone has to do to retire at a higher pay grade." He wanted to leave after his last shipboard command. I think he basically was fetching coffee and pulling chairs for Admirals. It's a paperwork thing.
