  1. If I were industry, if you get past the basic rah-rah "dur....deregulation is good!!!" this is ultimately going to be terribly destructive in that I will never be able to understand the regulatory playing field I'm operating in. There is never a controlling standard any more, especially at the federal level. How do I allocate capital in the that environment if I'm constantly having courts picking and choosing through technical rule decision making. What's to keep agencies in Democratic administration from constantly testing the court on decisions, attempting to find a definition consistent with the statutory language, forcing me back into to court over and over and over again? More long term, the court is putting itself at extreme risk in the case of a major politically shift, of finding itself on the end of Congresses gun and having it's jurisdictions and funding dramatically regulated. Since every decision seems to say "The executive branch is too powerful, Congress must decide!" What happens when Congress writes a law and removes the Supreme Courts jurisdiction? Robert's and the conservatives are betting the current political dynamic will continue unabated, but as Stalin quipped about the Pope "How many armored divisions does he have?" That is also true of the judiciary.
  2. I love her stand up, which is mostly self deprecating. When she's on the road, she will usually post a couple of thirst traps here and there on Insta.
  3. Combining a mercurial, redass like Jim Harbaugh with a weak minded, but easily offended owner like Dean Spanos is going to certainly be an entertaining combination.
  4. You going live by good Joe Flacco, sooner or later, you will die by bad Joe Flacco.
  5. Need three touchdowns boys!! Z let’s do this!!!!!! Looks over and sees that fat fuck McCarthy on the sideline. 😆
  6. I spent one miserable late winter/spring in New England burning wood for heat, I have thoughts. There's a difference between burning wood in a fire pit vs. fireplace/stove. Green wood is awful to burn in a firebox: smoky, prone to flameout/smolder, slow to coal, coats the chimney/stovepipe with creosote. In a firepit, you burn enough scrap lumber to get a fire going, you can burn damn near anything if you don't mind smelling like firepit. Compared to Eastern White Oak, Southern Live Oak seems to cure faster, especially in Texas heat. If you want to ensure quickest seasoning, fold a tarp over to a width to cover the top of the wood stack and weigh down with a few logs to keep the bulk of the rain off. As previously stated: The general rule of thumb with most hardwoods (oak) is about a year, but if you have a good airy, dry, sunny location, you might be able to get away with 9 months.
  7. Winds were howling in SW DC A couple of hours ago, now it’s mostly just rain. I do think they suspended flights out of DCA for awhile because they are pushing tin like crazy right now.
  8. Mostly because of Alaska 261 which was a maintenance failure. I guess Notoriously is probably a bit strong.
  9. Alaska is notoriously bad at Maintenance. Flight is based on real world Alaska airlines incident, but Whip did not in the end save the day, although the plane was flown upside down for a bit.
  10. Just a second there, Professor....we fixed the glitch....
  11. Really, just a couple of play action RPO bootlegs with a two layer passing option would have pulled the safeties out of the box, and allowed Michigan to have the big, time killing dagger drive they kept looking for starting 10 minutes into the 2nd quarter. But Khaki pants got his title, so what the fuck do I know. Michigan, for better or worse, was definitely the best team in college football this year.
  12. Harbaugh definitely played "fuck around, find out" for much of the game. For the life of me, I could not figure out why he didn't use McCarthy's legs in the RPO/Roll Out game to offset the heavy boxes the Huskies were setting up on first down.
  13. From a Washington perspective, Texas was the last in a long line of teams this season that sat stunned at the end of the game and then the week after when the Huskies were barely holding it together, saying “How the fuck did we lose to those guys?” Shit, Oregon had to go through it twice.
  14. He’s a winner for sure. So was Ken Dorsey. The guy is a disposable college QB on a team that leans on its defense and running game.
  15. Penix might have played himself of the second pick, but McCarthy has played himself out of the draft
  16. I’m just deeply confused as to why Michigan continues to rely on McCarthy’s arm instead of legs other than that one broken play
  17. There's some truth here, but the McDonnell Douglas execs who took over Boeing (that's my favorite part of the merger, somehow through financial wizardry, McDonnell Douglas used Boeing's money to be bought and take control of BA!) also were the ones who moved the HQ to Chicago expressly to get the managers away from the engineers in Seattle. Basically they couldn't cut costs the way they wanted too if the engineers could walk in somebodies office and say "This is going to kill people and let me explain why"
  18. I will say, and seriously, no CR, Trump did snooker the fuck outta them on that Air Force One Contract. They were so desperate to get in the Administration's good graces they signed a no overage contract with required delivery. Narrator: "The project ran millions over estimate" Buncha dummies.
  19. Captain Kirk: Note to Galley; Romulan Ale no longer to be served at diplomatic functions.
