  1. That joke felt more like an ad lib to me. He was making another joke about WS and Jada was sitting there and that joke popped into his head. At least I think that's what happened. I'm more offended by how incredibly dated and unfunny the fucking joke was. Can't wait to see you in GI Jane 2? Of all the jokes told at the expense of Hollywood at all these award shows through all the years, that piece of shit, throwaway, adlib is the one that will go down in infamy? Fucking offends me as a person with a well developed sense of humor more than anything. And if this was a set up, do you really think that's the joke Rock will want people relaying when they discuss this story? That might be more embarrassing for him than getting bitch slapped in front of the world.
  2. This is what makes the conspiracy crowd sound so fucking stupid. Although, that kind of comes with the Q crowd, so I guess we shouldn't expect critical thinking from them. It just seems like a bad decision for Will Smith, who is favored to have the greatest and most important night of his profession life, to decide to play along with a publicity stunt that makes him looks like a bitch and ruins his big night. And his reputation as a "good dude" to the ignorant masses who don't dig too deep. And what did Rock get out of this publicity stunt? Getting slapped like that in front of the world is pretty embarrassing and it totally threw him off. I imagine one of the worst parts for a guy like Rock, who can be an artist with words, was standing there looking like an idiot and not knowing what to say. I'm gonna guess that doesn't happen to him very often. Have any of the Q crowd explained what their motivation would be or do they not worry about facts, logic, and common sense getting in the way....and I just answered my own question. Never mind.

    Terry Reid

Anyone familiar with this guy from the early 70’s. I’ve always considered myself a PhD in Classic Rock, but I’m thinking I may just hold a Masters degree. I’d never heard of this guy until a few months ago. And I stumbled upon him by accident. I think the song below was over the closing credits of something I watched. Apparently this guy was Page’s first choice to be lead singer of Zeppelin. Not sure if that’s true or not. Just wondering how this guy stayed off my radar for the past 43 years. I’m gonna listened to him until it’s time to leave for trivia, so maybe 30 minutes of his catalog will answer that question. I think Dean is cool as shit, so it can’t be too bad.
  4. Maybe officiating isn’t a national conspiracy against Tech?
  5. Bogie. I'm not a fan of John Wayne, his shitty acting, or a majority of his movies.

    Chicago

So something I like to do every now and then is get stoned and sit on my patio listening to music. I almost always have some kind of breakthrough where I suddenly realize something that’s probably fairly obvious. But my preconceived perception on the subject makes me blind to what should be obvious. So I believe, if you remove all that weird 1968 DNC shit from CTA, you have damn near a perfect debut album. The opening song, “Introduction”, literally tells their story. From there it’s just one bad ass rock song or perfect pop song after another. I believe this was released as a double album in ‘69. I’d have chunked the entire side 4 and added “Make Me Smile” from II as the final song. But I’m splitting hairs. Now, about Chicago II. I’ve just always assumed they at least kept it going. It has one of my favorite Chicago songs, Make Me Smile, on it. It must be good. Then why did I only have 3 songs from that album downloaded. So I did a deep dive and listened to CII. What a steaming piece of shit! 25 or 6 to four and MMS are about the only decent songs on the album. Coulor My Word is boring and spelled pompously. Fuck that song. So I ask you, ye Masters of music. Am I mistaken about the quality of Chicago II? Or is it at best, a disappointing follow up to one of the greatest debut albums of all time? Or, at worst, the steaming pile of shit I claim it is?
  7. Based on this post and your last post in this thread, I'm thinking you're cutting him a little too much slack. If he was already in love with Susie, the problem isn't that he told her he nailed the other two. The problem is that he nailed them at all. The way it looks to me is, everything he said to those two was complete bullshit with the end goal being that they sleep with him. We can throw out all the Surly backslaps to him we want, but he did them pretty shitty. Here are all the transgressions I can think of off the top of my head. Told them all he was in love with them when in reality, he was in "love" with Suzie and just wanted to fuck Gabby and Rachel Would have banged all three when he already knew who he was going to pick. I guess he just wanted to make sure one of the girls he didn't like as much wasn't such an animal in bed that he had to keep her. The worst thing was when he talked them into coming back by withholding one crucial piece of information (he loves Suzie the most and they are just the consolation prize.) And he kept talking about needing to be honest with them, all while lying his ass off. They were home free, and so was he, and he couldn't deal with being the Bach who ended up getting rejected by all three of his final 3. So he sweet talked them into coming back and giving "love" one more chance. He really sold that shit too. Telling them he still loves them, etc. And once he gets them back, he immediately dumped them both (in a group dumping) for the girl he wanted the entire time. Don't get me wrong. I only watch this shit for the drama, but this was one of the most selfish immature leads they've ever had. And I think they knew it and manipulated this poor bastard the entire season. That's why Shanea lasted as long as she did. Who knows how many of his bad decisions he made the past two episodes were producer driven, but he's kind of a grown ass man who should know better. And even if he's not, he had a grown ass man in his dad telling him he was fucking up. If you really think he was just telling the truth and nothing he did to Gabby and Rachel was terribly shitty and beyond the scope of "a fucking game show", you might not have been paying close enough attention.
  8. There should be a squad of us who peruse threads looking for shit like this so we can identify the subject for those of us who are clueless. I'll go first: They are talking about Step Brothers and which character was the best.
  9. I liked the clip from the H&O biopic. "You sing high and I'll sing the same high".
  10. He did, but she's not blameless. She knew what she signed up for. She knew about Fantasy Suites. If that was a deal breaker, maybe she should have told him that upfront. I think she just wasn't that in to him and wanted an excuse to bail. Now she's free to either be the next Ette or go to BIP.
  11. I doubt she would. This chick wasn't your run of the mill overly aggressive time stealer who has been villainized or got a bad edit. There's no possibility of a redemption arc that I can imagine. She was literally the worst chick to ever come on this show. She would tell the camera in her ITM that she was going to make some shit up about a certain cast member to get Clayton to turn on her. And then she would do exactly that and Clayton would send that girl home. She tearfully apologized for some of her truly awful behavior and then they would cut to her ITM with her saying "I'm not sorry bitches! That was all an act. I'm Meryl Streep!" Reading that it almost sounds funny. Watching it, it was pretty disgusting. And I don't give a shit about any of these people of their romantic prospects. I'm here strictly for the drama. This bitch is evil and I can't imagine anyone signing up for that by choice. The male fame whore version of her might sign up for that with the intent of ruining everyone's summer. Failing that, she would be one and done. Not hot. Not sane. Not fun to be around. If they bring her to BIP, which I kind of hope they do, I don't see her getting a rose from anyone who is there for anything other than TV time.
  12. Shanea is definitely the worst woman to ever appear on the franchises. She just has to be because I never remember thinking, oh my God, this chick is pure evil. I feel sorry for whoever eventually marries her. She is going to ruin that poor bastard's life. Unless he's rich and she decides to murder him for his money. Then she'll just end his life. She should hook up with the worst guy to ever appear on the franchise, Chad Johnson. They could spawn litters of little evil minions to be sent out into the world and ruin lives. I don't think there's anyway he winds up with any of these three. Part of it is previews and part of it is half ass spoilers I may have stumbled on. I'd call up Dr. Big Tittays if I was him
  13. They are going sooooo low. Never been one like this.
  14. We are 40 minutes into WTA and it’s been nothing but every girl l ripping Ms future Dateline subject. And it’s glorious.
  15. Yep. He’s the man for the job. If we ever start hitting 3’s, we’re gonna be a pain in the ass. Until then, I’m still team Coach B.
  16. Thank you. Other then knowing we are right, there really is no upside to the fucking we got. Posts like this are literally the only other good part about this fucked up situation. It actually makes us feel better.
  17. Thank you. I finally started to figure out what he was getting at. I never saw where they definitely confirmed that Elsa was buried in the Dutton family cemetery. So I kind of thought I was theorizing a little. If someone missed the few conversations about it in Yellowstone, they wouldn't really know about the family cemetery. When you made the first post that kicked all that off, I thought you might be one of those people not in the know. It's pretty cool that Elsa is the one who picked the spot and they are still using it 150 years later.
  18. Well my first post on this was in response to someone asking if Yellowstone would mention Elsa and where she’s buried. I was responding to the “where she was buried” part.
  19. I saw all that. I’m not getting how that precludes my theory from being correct though. I thought they were gonna put down roots wherever they buried here. He took her on a horsey ride to the area the Indian told him about. I assumed that area turned out to be the Yellowstone. They buried her there and I assume that became the Dutton cemetery. Is that not correct?
  20. Me? Yeah. What did I miss that negates my theory?
  21. I'm just assuming Elsa is the one who picked the location of the Dutton family cemetery and she was the first Dutton to be buried there. I hope that's correct because it's kind of a cool thing that connects Tim McGraw to Costner. I seem to remember Costner saying something about every Dutton being buried there. For how many years I don't recall. But I'm going with Elsa picking out the family cemetery.
  22. I’d watch a Harry Callahan origin story. There’s an obvious one in High Plains Drifter, but the bad guy wins in the end. I think the younger days of William Munny is the obvious answer. There. I did Clint Eastwood. Someone do Paul Newman.
  23. I listen to it like it's Elsa 20 years in the future writing a memoir on her adventures and it seems like it works for me.
  24. Has anyone caught any of these episodes? The spend an hour recapping an entire MLB season. Talk about a walk down memory lane for a 58 year old. I'm all over any episode from the 60's or 70's right now. I think I have about 15 more on my DVR. No matter what era is your wheelhouse, it's probably going to be covered. Unless Army Brat is a baseball fan. I'm not sure they are doing the 1880's. Fun trivia question that popped into my brain while watching the 1972-1974 episodes that heavily featured the A's. What team did all those guys sign with once they were finally able to break the reserve clause. No cheating. Players that I think moved: Catfish, Reggie, Bando, Rudi, Rollie, Campy, Vida Blue, Ken Holtzman, Gene Tenace. Turns out I'm not as good at remembering this as I thought. Not sure how many I got right.

  25. Ken Joeng is only funny when he has actual funny people write funny material for him to perform. Left to his own devices, he is as unfunny as anyone I have ever seen on TV. Well, at least among people trying to be funny. I'd say 100% of people trying to be funny are funnier than KJ. 37% of people on TV trying not to be funny, are still funnier than KJ.
