It’s both. This team is so consistently average they’re easy to predict. I really think there is a good chance we’re the 4th best team in a regional we are hosting. This team does nothing really well. Starting & relief pitching is thin and the ones we have aren’t any better than ORUs pitchers. Our D isn’t great. It’s average, like everything else about this team. Except the parts that are below average. The one thing I kept hearing about this team is they can really mash the ball. Bullshit. They’re front runners who feasted on the shitty teams and padded their stats in blowouts. When it really mattered, they rarely came through in the clutch. At no point this season did they ever really look like a national contender. Last Saturday vs TT was the best they’ve looked all season and that magic lasted about 12 hours. Then they immediately returned to who they really are. By the time I’m done golfing today, our season should almost be over. Good riddance to this horribly constructed team. Barring a miracle run through the losers bracket vs three teams better than us, I’m done talking or thinking about this team.
Lightening. I don’t know. We’re 0-2 vs these guys and they’re making plays all over the field and we’re walking in runs. If you didn’t know who the 1 seed was, you’d never guess it’s the guys in orange. Lots of ball to still play
Thread title got me excited. I thought we were going to discuss The Parallax View, The Manchurian Candidate, Blow Out or Winter Kills. Thread content was a bit of a disappointment.
I can't believe it turned out this way, but I could see a workplace comedy revolving around Trent working. I'm not sure where they would go with the Richmond club at this point that wouldn't just feel like Ted Lasso II. Which I would watch.
