  1. Have you seen her with her family? Two older sisters and she’s the baby. You can tell she’s the princess of the family and has gotten whatever she wanted. Spoiled little brat that’s never been told no. Her behavior isn’t surprising and I doubt it will ever change. I feel sorry for Chris*, but fuck that guy. *i refuse to call him Swaggy.
  2. I don't know if this has been discussed, but Nick basically paid to have his ass sent to EOE. If Ben hadn't had the disadvantage, he would have won the challenge. I think they were voting out Nick anyway, but he pretty much sealed his own fate by taking the other option, Michelle, off the table.
  3. I’ve always like Cory. I’ve always tried to like Nelson but then he does something like last night that makes no sense and he makes it hard. Didn’t he do something similar a few weeks ago too? Quickly, before Goo gets back and inundates with 1000 words on why Baileigh & Chris suck. Which they do, but if you didn’t know anything about them coming in, what would you think of them? Chris has come off, dare I say, almost likeable? B just can’t control her inner bitch like last night, but up until then, she was almost ok. It could just be I remember how much I hated them in BB and I’m grading on a curve. And comparing them to some other Challengers like Ashley or Cara probably makes their awfulness seem a little less.
  4. Maybe something like after the first 4 are voted out, do a battle back comp and the three losers go home. Keep doing that every 4 evictions. Still stupid, but the EOE is pretty stupid. And we won’t have a winner who was only in the game for 5 days.
  5. Bare ass, side boob, sex scenes that rival hard R rated movies (with the good stuff just barely out of the shot), cursing like we hadn’t really heard before. And Dennis Franz.
  6. Pretty good recap by EW. Mainly because they call Julia a hose beast and Brandon 100% douche. https://ew.com/tv/recaps/listen-to-your-heart-season-1-episode-4/?did=520487-20200505&utm_campaign=ewk-tv_newsletter&utm_source=ew.com&utm_medium=email&utm_content=050520&cid=520487&mid=33302506443
  7. Production got close this time, but they're still missing the boat as far as what the viewers want. Some kind of immunity would have been a good idea. Hell, once you have your skull, your immune to the final. Or immunity up to a pre-final purge. Anything to make these vets nut up and get down there. Id' love to see how big and tough Rogan would be if he had to go up against Fessy or someone who he couldn't almost literally murder in the ring. Is that where we left off last week? Jay lying on the ground semi-conscious? I'm not sure what should happen to Rogan, nothing probably, but intentionally hurting an opponent is pretty bush league shit.
  8. She was pretty awful. She knew Sheridan was the correct choice, but he just wasn't good looking enough and he didn't treat her shitty. So she just toyed with him until she got her chance at Super Douche. The two of them are a perfect study in how to end up alone forever. She's addicted to assholes that treat her shitty, so she treats nice guys like Sheridan like shit to make herself feel better about being treated shitty. Brandon just wants to fuck and let both of them get close enough to think he's into them, but pushed them away before it gets too serious. If this had gone down in real life, he'd have slept with both of them and they'd never hear from him again. And Sheridan would be at home jerking off and wondering why he can't find someone who's into him.
  9. we binged this over the past few days. What a weird concept. Completely rewriting history and turning it into a world where 1948 America is tolerant in their attitudes toward gay men kissing on national TV and isn't racist as shit. I'm not sure what Ryan Murphy was going for here, but it was odd. I was entertained and invested in the characters and story though. You just have to suspend all belief like you're watching The Expendables or a Vin Diesel movie.
  10. Are you still watching this? If so, how fucking delicious was the big bowl of karma that got served up to Brandon and Julia last night? That was fucking awesome. If they'd have stuck with their original partner, they'd probably still be there and the young girl that freaks out all the time would be gone.
  11. Just watched it this weekend. It was definitely done with a sympathetic slant toward the Davidians. After watching it, I can understand why. Changed my opinion on a lot of this. I still think they should have come out sooner, Koresh did seem to be stalling, and he also seemed like a bit of a lunatic*, but that was about as good a representation of him that he was going to get. He was banging underage girls, so all his religious shit is iffy to me. I think those guys set up their cults just to get laid.
  12. In the last two weeks, I’ve convinced my wife to watch: Sophie’s Choice The French Connection Snatch We’re halfway through Blood Simple. If you knew my wife’s terrible taste in movies, you’d know why I’m so proud. I came home today and she was watching Green Card. On Apple TV. By choice. She literally sought out Green Card and watched it. And I convinced this person to watch The French Connection. I will now take a bow.
  13. Lol. I almost posted this exact thing a few days ago when I saw that post.
  14. Yeah, did I miss a memo? Is Jenna ugly now? If so, she’s doing a bad job of it.
  15. Yeah but he was correct this time.
  16. Knowing nothing about it other than it had a pretty good cast, I watched Troop Zero last night. Fuck, what a steaming pile of shit. Think Little Miss Sunshine, but with shit poured all over it. It felt like it was written from the villain's viewpoint since they got everything they wanted and the "heroes" of the film got shit on the entire time. Until the end, when the director had to satisfy their golden shower fetish? And what kind of fucking adults let their children talk to people like that? They seemed unrealistically cruel, even for 1977. Easily one of the worst movies I've ever sat all the way through. If I just spoiled anything in my rant, you're welcome. It's spoiled for you, so don't fucking watch it.
  17. If someone has never even heard of The Graduate and needs to have "classic" movie defined for them, I think they're in the wrong thread. Or based on the thread title, they're in the perfect thread, but they are going to be very confused.
  18. I think you saw 3 or 4 of him, but none of them were him. I guess Nichols had a picture in his head of what a 60’s California frat guy looked like.
  19. But the point you’d be making is wrong, thus you will face our wrath. So don’t.
  20. But Redford was actually considered and might have been the front runner at one point. He fits the description from the book a lot closer than Hoffman.
  21. Why would you dredge that up and quote the dumbest thing you've said on this thread? You corrected your error so I'm just going to ignore this reminder.
  22. Nowhere in your review of your rewatch of The Graduate did you say it sucks. That was all I asked, so I can now sleep at night knowing this egregious wrong has now been righted.
  23. Is it? I tried watching it about 30 years ago when I was trying to watch every Best Picture winner. All I remember about the movie is the guy with no hands was such a terrible actor (I know the backstory) that is was distracting.
  24. PDL doesn't seem like a very accessible movie, unlike The Graduate. That pretty much sums up PTA though as well. He's definitely the sweet spot for movie snobs. I got the wife to watch The French Connection last weekend and she let me watch 45 minutes of Patton last night while she did a puzzle and never once told me to turn it to something else. That's considered a win in my house.
