  1. Well I’m not normal. So it seems appropriate. Pardon Me and HG for trying to bring a little substance to this tread. Back to the snide one liners!
  2. And here I thought we had all agreed this was a judgement free zone. This is a thread about the Bachelor and you are posting in it. Please dismount your high horse.
  3. Every time this movie is mentioned, I think of Letterman's joke in his Oscar monologue. Nominated for Best Foreign Film, "Eat Drink Man Woman." Which is also how Arnold Schwarzenegger asked Maria Shriver out on their first date.
  4. Yeah the last thing we want to do is get in an argument about the Bachelor. I'm pretty that's an instant revocation of our man cards. With that said, I don't agree with anything you are saying. It's not the only difference. Demi is not on there looking for love and Demi does not have a girlfriend back home. Now if Demi has gone on multiple vacations with this woman, met her family, told her she loves her, and told her she is just going on BIP to advance her career and will be coming back to her as soon as it's over, then I would be inclined to see your point. And if this woman starts going to the press saying how Demi wronged her, I'll reconsider my stance. BIP is not just a little different. It's completely different. They aren't even close to the same. If one assumes that The Bachelorette is about finding a husband, what Jed did to Hannah was pretty fucking low. He took a giant dump on her season. He robbed her of her fairy tale ending (you know, being on the cover a magazines for a few months and then breaking up and being on some more magazine covers). BIP is just a silly show that's our reward for suffering through the main shit show of the franchise. Some people are there for love and some are there to party and get laid. There seems to be one real relationship that comes out of each season. The rest of it is just good unclean fun for the viewers and a free vacation and some money in their pockets for 90% of them. Was anyone banking on Demi + Derek = True Love Forever? And like you said, the Demi thing was completely staged. The only person with any chance of being hurt in this is Derek and it's not his season. It's everybody's season. Besides, who is going to feel sorry for a 32 year old guy who got to make out with a hot 23 year old for a few weeks but doesn't "get" to marry her at the end of it. So we disagree on this but I am curious where everybody else stands.
  5. So weird. The two movies I thought of were Chef (wife and I went out and got a Cuban sandwhich as soon as we finished the movie) and the Godfather(s). And if I had racked my brain to try to think of a third, I probably would have landed on the Goodfellas prison cooking scene. So I guess I'm done here.
  6. How is he correct? The seriousness of their relationships seem to be vastly different, but that's somewhat irrelevant anyway. She came on and started talking about it almost instantly. She was honest and upfront about it. Jed said nothing about this girlfriend for weeks (or is it months). And the only reason he did admit to it was that he was cornered and even then, he lied about it. So no sir, he is not correct in any way.
  7. I miss Bruno Kirby. I’m not sure what he’s telling me here though
  8. This shouldn't suck TEAM USA Ashley Mitchell - I couldn't dislike her more Cara Maria Sorbello - Oops. Forgot about Cara. I take back what I said about AshleyFaith StowersJohnny “Bananas” Devenanzio - I guess he and Morgan didn't make itJordan Wiseley - Recently got engaged to Tori DealJosh Martinez - Kam WilliamsLaurel Stucky - I don't like her but I'm glad she's back Leroy Garrett - first one out as usual? Nany Gonzalez - just here for the dickPaulie Calafiore Tori DealWes Bergmann - please let him humiliate Bananas againZach Nichols - where's Jenna? The Lavender Losers and TYB seem extremely poorly represented. Hmmm. No Shane, Amanda, or Hunter? Works for me. Davonne missing as well. Figures since I was just starting to like her a little.
  9. That's what I thought. So yeah. The joke sucked.
  10. Thanks. I'm going to go listen to that one next.
  11. Demi isn't really there "for the right reasons" and the producers were just fine for it. I feel like they asked her what boy toy she'd like to make out with for a few weeks while she makes hilarious comments. She's there to do what she's doing and it's great. Gramma must be off her meds. Anyone but Cam. I don't care if she eventually gets married. They still need to keep bringing her back. Now the flip side of this is we should expect at least one Demi clone every season on the franchise going forward. If they got the game, bring it. But I suspect they will be shitty knockoffs without the sense of humor and it will all just come out bitchy.
  12. Bill Simmons did a pretty good podcast all about this movie https://www.theringer.com/the-bill-simmons-podcast/2019/8/12/20802381/once-upon-a-time-in-hollywood-wesley-morris
  13. Yeah Jordan isn't nearly clever enough to keep up with Demi. His job should be to sit there and laugh a lot at what she says. Chris is so old that Jordan saw formaldehyde in his suitcase. I don't know shit about formaldehyde, but why the hell would an old person be carrying it around. Shit like that just drives me up the wall. Poorly constructed joke. The word you were looking for was Geritol you dumbass. Also, Mike's toast to Cailynn - here's to possible our first last date. Dammit dude. It's last first date. Get that shit right.
  14. Mike still owning Cam.

That was my favorite part of the episode. I love the moment when someone realizes maybe they aren't as awesome as they think they are. Jackson took it well though.
  16. She may want to hang onto him. She is vastly overrating herself. Like Carly with Evan, she should just lower her standards and settle.
  17. Yeah that was an odd feeling. I'm watching that and I'm actually rooting for him. Or maybe I was rooting against Caelynn.
  18. Cheaper than getting butt fucked by Jethro in some shitty WV jail house. Actually, Jethro would probably butt fuck you for free. It’s the bail and therapy you’ll require that’s gonna cost you.
  19. I took it as Cliff remembering back to the day he fucked up his career.

Cliff almost has me sold on why he did this. And it looks like it's starting to work out the way he hoped, but he was in a tough spot. He was the only one playing the game from the weak side of the house. Christie's power pretty ruined this season. The game could be completely different if he had the balls to make that deal with Christie and then stab her in the back and immediately name her as the replacement nom. He's so aggy to the bone though that I knew he wouldn't do it. That would have been great for us, but probably terrible for his game.

This is shaping up to be the worst season in BB history. House guests - I feel confident in saying this is the worst cast ever. Unlike the early days when the casts were just people looking for a crazy fun way to spend the summer, now everybody has an ulterior motive for wanting to be on BB (or any other reality show). That makes it harder to cast, but there's no excuse for this terrible cast. Yeah, it's harder to find the right people, but the pool you are choosing from has to be 4x as big as it was in the early years. I think they are just too fucking lazy to do their jobs and on most of these people, I imagine the final decision on them was "Whatever. They should work". Why they would cast Sis, Jessica, and Nicole? I'm thinking it came down to filling a quota for hot people, fat people, and weird people. Jack, Jackson, Christie, and Bella are just terrible human beings. Nick and Sis are teetering on that edge and will probably prove themselves to be awful people soon enough. Sis probably already has, but dat ass! Holly, Tommy, and Kat (my new favorite house guest) seem like they are ok, so I'll give them a pass for now. All the people who are likable have either already been evicted, are in a precarious position in the house, or aren't even playing the game, so we really haven't gotten to know them. The end result is horrible people running the game with very little chance of that changing because the minority "alliance" refuses to see what's happening right in front of them (despite Cliff telling them what is happening) and are terrible at this game. And they aren't even playing the game. It's like a house full of 6 Paul's and 8 Matt and Raven's. Twists - All the advantages have ended up in the hands of the dominant alliance full of awful people. And all they've done is make the awful people damn near untouchable. Camp Comeback prevented anyone from making a big move early, so we've been in this holding pattern for over a month waiting for something to happen. When we finally get Cliff as the HOH, his HOH is commandeered by Christie's fucking advantage, which she didn't even have to play. Ovi's advantage was never even played.

Lol. Dude, you typed the wrong name or you got a couple of houseguests names swapped. Cuz no way that happened.
  23. I tried but I don't currently get NBC since Direct TV are either greedy bastards or they are looking out for their customers interests.
  24. They went on more than one vacation together He introduced her to his parents They exchanged I love you's That seems like more than a fling.
  25. I’m obviously an idiot with reading comprehension issues.
