  1. This is correct. What Medicare does not cover is "non-skilled" home health.
  2. My point is that multigenerational households are not a modern American cultural norm, and that has been particularly the case since the 1950s. To expand further, this is primarily a phenomena of white American cultural norms. To the extent that the trend has been reversing over the last couple decades, it is driven by non-white cultures and first and second generation immigrant families. Some of y'all are getting really bogged down in the reference to the 1950's American white picket fence Americana propaganda. If you don't think that propaganda existed, don't think that it influences modern Americans' perceptions of middle class ideals, or want to quibble about whether there is one car or two, we can agree to disagree, and that is ok. We are in agreement (I think) that the basic QOL components that the post-WWII American middle class was founded around are eroding and increasingly unattainable. Those QOL components are primarily achievable by high income earners today, like top 10% income earners. And that is probably cutting it thin.
  3. So one car instead of two in your particular case. Got it. My point regarding the cultural social norms wrt multigenerational households is slayed.
  4. Israelis do a bunch of racist and destructive shit, find out, and then scream about it being a pogrom and rampant anti-semitism. Rinse repeat.
  5. 100% in agreement, it is primarily a cultural and social norm thing. Americans were sold the vision of the single income, middle class family, white picket fence 1950's bill of goods. It's not tenable now, nor has been for the vast majority of human history.
  6. Sentence: 9999-99-99 Fuck that POS.
  7. We probably agree that public policy, starting with the tax code, should support such situations.
  8. Both I think, but the pedo shit is what got him life.
  9. Nevermind, that scumbag is still alive in jail. https://inmate.tdcj.texas.gov/InmateSearch/viewDetail.action?sid=02406297
  10. Pretty sure he died in prison, but I may be misremembering that.
  11. There is nothing wrong with multigenerational living situations. It's the norm in much of the world, and the norm in many demographics in the united states. Of course, it should not be a matter of an unintended outcome of policy, but policy that supports such situations when they are voluntary should absolutely be promoted.
  12. Well that’s a bold strategy for the future.
  13. Bee cave location has been shut for a while, but I find it tolerable if I stick to enchiladas perfecto and gils margaritas.
  14. The human life cycle is a matter of biological science, not religion. Whether or not human life has intrinsic value and rights is a matter of philosophy.
  15. Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor retires. Yeah. No way that could backfire.
  16. He'd be 82 and it would set up an Obama vs. Trump matchup.
  17. Why is a simple declassification review taking this long?
  18. The CR itself is full of misinformation, the primary particular conduit of which is twitter embeds.
  19. I think that she is taking the loss with grace and honor, to be totally honest.
  20. I don't think that I am the one engaging in revisionism here. We can agree to disagree on the particular point wrt the media. I think that we agree on the broader issue here.
  21. Running out Liz and Dick Fucking Cheney was a masterful political strategy. Real finger on the pulse shit.
  22. Do you have these breakouts for 2020 and 2016 as well? Would also be interested in seeing a generation-gender stratification across those timeframes.
