  1. Yesterday and today and maybe monday too.
  2. Bought some well out of the money Sept SPY calls into this close. Should go into the stonk thread since SPY is a stonk now.
  3. Taking a lot of will power to not push a good chunk of cash in my 401k into this dip. So far I am only doing stupid things in my trading accounts.
  4. So I've numbers ranging quite a bit in terms of what is maturing in 2025 and needs to be rolled out. Is there a good source what exactly needs to be refinanced and at what rates they were originally issued?
  5. It's a very sad story and a very sad thread. Unfortunately not surprised to see some of the seizures breaking out here.
  6. I was buying yesterday. I am buying today. Sticking to strong dividend paying stocks and BRK.
  7. Besnet has been pretty openly focused on bringing down the 10y. Looking back at some of his statements in hindsight is interesting. He basically said he they were going to get the yield down with or without the Fed. Of course it is overfitting in hindsight, but seriously go back and read some of his comments ca. February.
  8. Totally broken brained poster. Enjoy the conversations you are having with yourself in your own head you psycho.
  9. The nets that catch the suicide jumpers off their Chinese factories are heartbreaking. Sorry for your buddies portfolio though.
  10. Im moving my whole 401k to VIX calls.
  11. When his replacement overrides the reviewers and ad boards that are all saying "No" and approves novel biologicals based on thin outcomes and safety data, some of which end up killing people, I'll be here to comment. The process has been extremely politicized at FDA a while now. But esp during the initial covid vax approval, during the booster roll outs, the extension to young children, and the examples given wrt other biologics. I hope that Makary is able to turn some of that around. If he doesn't or if it goes off the rails, I will be here to talk about it. BTW, here is that aduhelm thread that was mentioned. Surly was pretty uniform in its criticism.
  12. Bluster more brisket. Marks shit the bed and shit on the process on far more than the COVID vax (the process for which he did fuck up as well). Marks was at the top of the chain for the aduhelm and elevidys fiascos. There is a longish thread discussing the former on this board. There were ample reasons to turn him over with new FDA leadership.
  13. I'm pushing cash into this thing. Gonna let uncle warren do the heavy lifting on finding the deals.
  14. "Anastasis, you should really hate UATX because it was founded by the (((joos))) and ackshully it is an intelligence community psyop." I got to admire y'all's creativity and dedication to the craft sometimes.
  15. Maybe they should put that in the UATX online FAQ.
  16. Marks ran off multiple top FDA reviewers with his politicization of the vax approval process during COVID under the Biden admin.
  17. Certainly there are multiple factors involved. And I would be the last to minimize the role of social media. I think that the factors being kicked around here are loading on some of the same domains, e.g. perceptions of societal expectations. Our children, and in particular our adolescent children are in an absolute pressure cooker. I think it would be foolish to minimize the role of the educational environment. Well we can at least agree on that. I don't find what ATX is trying to do particularly offensive. Maybe they are successful, maybe they fail. Either way it is a process and everything will be ok. Given the resources and backing, I think that they will pass accreditation soon after they are eligible. But that is really here nor there and like 2030 or beyond. Any student enrolling in one of the initial cohorts is taking a big risk, imo, and needs to go into that totally eyes open in terms of the potential implications. Esp if they intend to go to grad or a professional school. This isn't that pathway. Again, not the right fit for my kids as we sit here today, but I can understand why others may land in a different place.
  18. Pretty good description of his resignation letter in the context of his tenure at CBER.
  19. I am not sure why you are surprised. The entire process is fucking ridiculous. We are pressure cooking these kids, distorting the educational system, significantly harming adolescent well being and mental health, and the process is being gamed by the institutions. UATX is not the first to observe this, and certainly won't be the last. I actually love the simplicity of "list three verifiable achievements, each described in a single sentence." Package that up with some scores and get on with making some decisions. Maybe some of y'all just need to hear it from other sources to avoid the reflex. https://www.theatlantic.com/education/archive/2016/03/where-admissions-went-wrong/475575/ https://www.newyorker.com/news/our-columnists/the-particular-misery-of-college-admissions-tiktok https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/01/opinion/college-admissions-applications.html https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottwhite/2025/02/18/the-college-admissions-crisis-how-scarcity-economics-is-failing-our-students/ Oh gee, look at that...
