  11. Yeah, the delivery driver's name was surely NOT Tyrone. Must've been Hayden or Conner.
  12. Imagine turning on the TV and seeing the Gestapo walking down the streets of Cicago like its 1930's Germany and then calling the people here sick after an off-colored joke.
  13. You should've. Javale is like the nicest guy ever. He probably would've been stoked you recognized him instead of the "Do you play basketball?"he usually gets. My wife is still hanging on to her warmups and backpack for who knows why. Lol
  14. As far as sports go, I have been slowly fazing out pro sports since Kaepernick. My wife ran track for Nevada and is friends with both Kap and Javale McGee(yes she is younger than me). So we were pretty pissed when that whole thing went down. Trump just added to that. Same with coming back to the 40. MAGA has infiltrated it for a few years now, and I cannot bring myself to go back often for fear of hating what it's become.
  15. Wife wanted the house painted so I call a company. Company owner looks it over. Comes back and we sit out back on the patio. In the middle of the proposal he "How about that Charlie Kirk shooting". At that moment if the proposal was 2 dollars he wasn't getting it! I don't give a fuck who recommended you or how good your price is. Fuck you. So I told my wife yesterday no more white owned companies. Not because white but because the percentage chance of MAGA. And that's a shame too. I shouldn't have to think like that but I will be damned if I give someone thousands and thousands so they can vote for this bullshit.
  16. My personal opinion is they were protecting friends. Probably Clinton. They also were slow to hit Trump because of he optics we are seeing now on his convictions.
  17. Again, progressive politicians arent doing that. Black people vote Dem, and so any issues in the Black Community are hung around the neck of the Democrats By Republicans. Anything any marginalized community says the the Rs weaponize it while the Ds run from it like its a disease. Its not us thats using identity politics Bob. Its the entire platform for the GOP. If they didnt do that no one would vote for their shitty policies.
  18. Posters don't get to come in here as if we forgot who they were a year ago at this time. Bad faith actors.
  19. They don't even need to use anyone running for office. Everyone knows who votes for who. You see a guy with wrap-around oakleys and an American flag shirt, you know what tribe he belongs to. So all it really needs to be is anyone with blue hair or black-brown. Right wingers are immediately going to associate that person with Democrats. Yep. They used Black America's reaction to that to fire up the ole hate machine. Disney makes a movie with ethnic representation and it turns into "they are trying to replace us". Has shit all to do with what Democratic politicians are running on.
  20. Progressives are the folks who are fucking things up? You are going to have to explain this one to me. Here is what I see- The democrats have spent decades throwing the marginalized under the bus to appease moderates like you. The 94 crime bill comes to mind. They have not run on identity politics at all, and have largely only gotten the marginalized vote out of no other options. Where you seem to be getting your idea of identity politics is the Republicans ability to attach all the marginalized groups to the Dems regardless of the fact that the Dems have largely tried to distance themselves from them on their platform. It's Republicans that are talking about Trans volleyball players. Its Republicans that are talking about men in women's bathrooms. It's Republicans that are talking about cat litter boxes in schools. It's Republicans that are talking about illegals being murderers and rapists. Its Republicans that are talking about DEI, and have been for decades talking about black people being a burden on the system. It's Republicans saying that Dems are trying to open borders to increase their voting pool. So you see, Progressives aren't doing anything to "fuck things up". What you are seeing is Republicans successfully attaching everything to the Democratic party simply by pointing out what marginalized groups vote for it. As long as black, brown, and lgbtq people vote D, the Rs will always use that to rile up their base. Meanwhile, the Democrats keep serving up Chuck Shumers and wonder why they keep losing elections. You think Progressives are the problem when its the opposite.
  21. Moderates are the reason we are where we are. The attempts to appease centrists only serve to make progressives apathetic and not turn out and vote. We are here because the DNC hasn't stood for anything, and as long as they keep rolling with moderates we will keep losing. Let me run you back through the democratic time machine for a bit. The D's spent the back half of the 60's righting a lot of wrongs. Back then the R's are what the D's currently are now. They spent their time droning on about policies, and the populace was tuning them out. Their attempts at reversing New Deal Era policies weren't popular. So they tied them to identity politics to get people to ignore the policies that were against their own interest, and instead vote for keeping minorities and women under thumb. From 1968 til now they've won 9 of the last 15 Presidential terms. The problem is that people do not want two right wing parties, and the DNC has been Republican lite. So as long as they are roughly the same true progressives and people that wanna see real change will keep staying home.
  22. To be honest, even though the men on this board are more conscious than most, we are still men, and we have been indoctrinated to act and think a certain way. Especially the generation we come from. I catch myself doing it all the time. So I apologize for being an asshole to women, especially on this board. If I am doing it you have full permission to call me out on it. My wife does it. So I am used to it. Don't mind us we love you guys for putting up with us Neanderthals.
  23. Honestly, I had the pleasure of meeting @Nicole44 irl and her nose does crinkle up.
