  1. This is where you show your lack of logical thinking. We've had 5 batted balls this season. 4 of them on the right side of the line and one on the left. Guess who the left tackle was when the one on the left happened? Not Banks. Quinn Ewers has been here for 3 years. If it was just an issue of arm angle it wouldn't been a problem all three years but its only been a problem this year right? Seems logical as to why. Inexperienced linemen don't know to stay engaged with the defender instead of releasing him and allowing him to jump and tip passes. Again, these are things you know but it doesn't follow your narrative. Phillip Rivers literally threw 10 kids worth of straight side arm passes and never had a problem with batted balls. Quinn throws three quarters and has only had a problem this year.
  2. It's Simms 2.0. The same dumb ass people that hated him are the same dumb ass people who hate Quinn. What's crazy is after Simms left and we were still getting trounced by OU and losing that random game to knock you out of contention, people should've been like "it wasn't Simms after all" but no they still stayed on the train. Mack's program was the same until he left. Even Colt couldn't get out of the Mack stank with what happened at Tech and in the NC game. One player was able to spray some febreeze on that shit for exactly one season, and his name was Vincent Paul Young Jr. Quinn was pretty far down the list on reasons we lost to Georgia but here we are. Special teams. Running game. Penalties. Drops. Offensive playcalling. Then Quinn. Expecting your QB to convert on 3rd and 15 every series is wild shit. Go look at the play by play.
  3. Oh okay I see what you were talking about. Yeah, our only shortcoming on defense last year was the pass rush. If we had Moore and Simmons last year we win the CFP. Defense was elite stopping the run. Just needed edge guys.
  4. You posted a lot of shit. You quoted another guy but then put my name for what?
  5. There are other measurables. Like being able to throw a ball through a brick wall.
  6. Your argument doesn't discount what he is saying. He is saying you shouldn't draft a QB in the first round on athleticism. Jamarcus Russell shoulda told you.
  7. Imagine watching the right side of our line this year. Sacks. Penalties. Batted balls. Busted assignments. And thinking it was better than last year's line. But if you admit to a lesser line that might hurt your argument.
  8. We have the exact same O-line short of Jones. Jones is better than Williams CURRENTLY is based on penalties alone. Jones also didn't get beat as often as Williams does.
  9. His O-line is not better this year. Sanders and Helm are better than Helm and Davis. Baxter, Brooks, Robinson and Blue are far superior to Blue and Wisner. Funny we didn't have an issue running Sark's offense last year with the same QB. A good OC figures it out. Do something different. If you need your QB to do more because you struggle running it then lean on his strengths and spread it out.
  10. I see a guy who is the kind of passer the NFL is looking for. Can layer the football. Throws with anticipation on all routes except the deep ball. Is accurate. You got mad after the Georgia game because you expect your quarterback to save you from 3rd and 12 everytime. Equally dumb. You think Arch is going to drop back and convert on 3rd and 12 consistently.
  11. Last year we had two tight ends that could catch, a better O-line, and a better pair of backs. Now we can't run the football and are getting ourselves behind the chains. But Quinn Ewers right? I am glad you aren't an OC.
  12. This dude is mad because his quarterback's recruiting description didn't fit. Lol
  13. Run an offense that works. A large portion of Sark's offense is predicated on the ability to consistently run the football. Trying to run the football against Georgia IS what got us in trouble. We weren't 3rd and 12 because of passing.
  14. I used to think this board was football smart. Now I see a lot of this board is incapable of deductive reasoning. Vic-I went back and charted our throws. We threw the ball out of 11 personnel, 12 personnel, and 21 personnel. Here is how it looked. 11 personnel- 22-33(67%) 284 yards and two sacks. We had explosives passes of 22, 19, 32, 50, 22, 17, and 25. 12 personnel- 3-6(50%) 3-6 for 39 yards and 4 sacks. We had one explosive for 20. 21 personnel- 2-3 28 yards and O sacks. You know what that tells us? The more you lean the offense towards Ewers strengths, spreading it out, the more successful we are passing. Ewers was dealing anytime we dropped back in 11 personnel. The throw to Golden up the sideline? 11 personnel. The scramble drill ball to Golden again? 11 personnel. The RPO TD to Moore? 11 got-damned personnel! We got ourselves in trouble trying to run it and getting behind the sticks whether it was a negative play or a holding call. You think he is hiding Ewers but he isn't. He just doesn't always play to his strengths by dropping back in 12 personnel and not even really sending Davis out in routes. It's hard as shit to throw to 3 against 7 or 8. His stubbornness to keep trotting out there in 12 personnel against Georgia is killing the offense. Everything bad that happened was due to us getting behind the sticks. Even in the aggy game the fumble was out of 12 personnel. Sometimes you guys gotta stop with the hating and see whats going on.
  15. Lol. You talking about the Helm play? Look at the line of scrimmage and tell me what you see happening. Tell me what he was supposed to do there.
  16. No clue what you are talking about. Dude is throwing out of 12 personnel probably more than anyone in the country with a conventional offense and we are keeping people in to block a lot. The more receivers the easier it is to throw the football because it cleans up the coverage picture and gets you favorable matchups. The things you guys think you see man. For example on the should've been an interception ball we had 3 receivers to the left. They were defending it like most teams defend it. One at the line and two defenders about 7 yards either side of the triplets. Most defenses man that up when they get that look and Georgia's safety turn and rain with(I think it was) Helm for a couple steps before peeling off back to the receiver. That's an easy mistake to make and great defense by Georgia. Quinn rarely gets fooled by coverages so he is seeing the field pretty well. So far we've got an overthrow vs OU. 4 batted balls. A ball deflected in the air by Bond. And two great defensive disguises by Georgia. Georgia has been the only team to fool him.
  17. They came out and drove the field on the first possession for 75 yards. In fact their three scoring drives were from their 25, 33, and 25 yard line. There were no short drives for points until OT.
  18. 0/5? Is this a rushing stat? Because the QB thread is that way ---->
  19. They trotted out their freshman backup quarterback and proceeded to score 19 second half points. There are two halves to a football game. I am tired of you guys dumb ass bullshit. Go look at Ole Miss time of possession. Worse than ours. Ole Miss kicked 4 field goals in the second half. That's it. They held Georgia to 3 second half points. 3! Their defense played better than ours. Why are you arguing that?
  20. Lol. You think our weak spot is the QB? If the weak spot is the QB why is everyone not loading the box to stop the run and instead they are sitting back in coverage all game and refusing to walk the safety up? I will answer that for you. They are afraid of him. Go watch that 3rd down where Moore scored. We caught Georgia walking a safety up and you know the rest of what happened. Opposing defenses are telling you who they think the most important person to stop on this team is by how they choose to play week in and week out. They aren't sitting back in coverage because they are afraid of the running game.
  21. I don't know maybe because Ole Miss protects better only giving up one sack. They are in 11 personnel or 4 wide almost every play creating matchup nightmares. They run HUNH. No slow developing playaction they just drop back and throw the football. We came out in the first quarter doing that and Quinn was lighting them up. That's because that is his strength. Then we dropped back into 12 personnel and trying to play football in the 80's. Again, Dart threw for 191 and 1td and 1 pick. The defense did the rest. I get that you don't like the kid but he threw for 360 vs Georgia. We dropped a TD pass, missed two field goals, and had 11 penalties. If our defense holds Georgia to 10 points, we don't have a million penalties, and we don't drop TD passes and miss field goals we run away with that game 29-10.
  22. If Quinn was playing for Ole Miss when they played Georgia Ole Miss beats Georgia worse than they did with Dart at QB. What is your point?
  23. Dart threw for 199 1td and 1int and ran for 50. Not exactly lighting it up. Their defense turned them over 3 times, got 5 sacks, and held them to 10. We hold Georgia to 10 and we have a new piece of hardware. Milroe is it.
  24. Colt went out of the Bama game before a point was even scored. You can't claim "cooking the fuck out of" on that one. Colt was 3-1 vs OU. Had a fantastic game vs Ohio State in the Fiesta. Got knocked out of NC game in the 1st qtr. Had a rough game in the Big12 championship game.
