  1. Another small thing that I haven’t seen mentioned but shows we are in much better hands: After going at a methodical, deliberate offensive tempo for the whole game, in the 2Q (I think?) we complete a pass for a first down and hit them with a really fast hurry-up out of nowhere. Fast enough the broadcast is caught off guard and doesn’t even get back in time from the replay to show it. Anyway, the play doesn’t do much but we do catch them with 12 men on the field/illegal sub. Got a free play, a 1st and 5, and throws their defense a bit off-balance knowing we can do that. So nice to see a smart, strategic use of something rather than just “going fast” for the sake of it without any thought behind it.
  2. For all the talk about the playmakers in the ULL defensive backfield and how they bait qbs into throws, Card didn’t really seem to fall for any of it. His incompletions were mainly overthrows on deep balls where he had man coverage and balls that he threw away when he had nothing there (or was running for his life). Unless I’m forgetting one, I don’t think he had any really bad decisions with the ball we were lucky didn’t get picked off. He’s lucky he didn’t fumble when he got sacked by the free rusher he never saw though.
  3. Brando is an all time thundercunt. Never seen a stick stuck further up a commentator’s ass than the one he has for UT. Did Jamison get hurt? I don’t think I saw him out there in the second half and seemed like we were getting a lot of Barron. Sorry if already discussed, been drinking.
  4. It was a good TO. If he doesn’t all the clever guys on here say, “I was told there were going to be no breaks”. From a risk/reward standpoint it was crazy for Napier to go for it there, but he did it and got 3 points out of it. Good for him. Doesn’t mean it was the wrong call from Sark.
  5. I guess Whit would be the logical guess if so.
  6. This is interesting, I'm sure some stat nerds have done some breakdown on whether the "deeper" team is usually significantly better down the stretch on extremely hot days. One example doesn't mean anything and technically we did outscore them in the 2nd half. And this. Who gives a shit what the temperature is when you have Garrett Gray as your starting TE.
  7. Team portion of humidor. There is a cryptic note at the end about a starter who’s not expected to play.
  8. I completely missed that Marcel Brooks was moved to WR, kind of surprising. And gotdamn, Banks is a bowling ball.
  9. Exciting look for Swaim, except they spelled his name wrong. I guess they didn’t just want to recreate the 05-06 team but Dave Thomas should clearly be there. They also seemed to lean heavy toward current NFL players, Hill and Boyd over guys like Aaron Ross, Westbrook, Aaron Williams. Makes it weird that Diggs isn’t there though.
  10. And the announcing crew will misidentify it as Bijan until they come back from commercial and correct that it was actually Jamison.
  11. Was about to say the same thing. Should be a front that really opens things up for linebackers to run free and fuck shit up.
  12. Haha, Sooner mod calling Lincoln a dick because he’s pissy about his access. Love to see it.
  13. You keep saying this and I don’t get why exactly. I guess you are talking about Okafor, Tope, and Brewer but our success doesn’t really hinge on the light coming on for any of those guys, let alone all three. Okafor and Tope are just 2 of the 8 guys we have fighting for playing time on the line (and Tope is unlikely to even start) As mentioned at least Okafor is finally playing the correct position. Brewer is fine even if athletically he’s never been the same after getting injured early in his career. He can be useful if he’s put in positions that play to his strengths and we have a lot of younger, more athletic guys at TE to do the things he can’t do. Plenty to worry about, but our offense relying on 6 year JAGs in order to be any good just isn’t really one of them.
  14. Fuck yeah. Cool to get Brady too
  15. Well, the bad news is our offense/qbs suck. The good news is our new head coach has an acceptable standard of play.
  16. Yeah, the handwringing about Money is basically complaining that we are letting him participate in drills. We should probably not fret about the offense being designed around him quite yet.
  17. Yeah, bullshit. You started by responding to that and then proceeded to take shots at how mediocre he is at football and how anyone who thinks otherwise is a homer idiot. What happened was you got the bat signal that people were being positive about him and needed to swoop in and “well, actually” the shit like you always do when someone mentions him. That’s fine, it’s a message board. But don’t get confused, you are the one that interrupted a conversation of fans that were excited that Sam had earned first team reps to push your Sam is over-rated narrative yet again.
