Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 - Idiotic Slapfights Unrelated To 2022 Recruiting
This. Thankfully Bo is a badass and not a moron so Finkley would be a really amazing icing on the cake to the class but he didn’t put all his eggs in that basket. We’re not hoping to beat out Saban for a Bama kid to save the position group. Previous staff would very likely be calling up some maxed out middling 3 stars from Texas private schools this evening.

The Eyes of Texas
Negged for about 5 different reasons. Pretty impressive for 2 sentences (albeit one run-on).

Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 - Idiotic Slapfights Unrelated To 2022 Recruiting
I want him in the class assuming he’s not punting puppies on the Internet. Just thinking about the numbers and our other needs. He seems to be redundant and not as highly thought of as some of the other guys. There is no such thing as too many guys on the lines and also could be good. If the staff isn’t worried about the distribution of ships then sure, let’s take them all.

Texas Recruiting Notes 2022 - Idiotic Slapfights Unrelated To 2022 Recruiting
Probably been discussed, but if we do pull Finkley and feel ok about holding on to him, the next step is encouraging Swanson to go ahead and reopen his recruitment presumably?

Negative Recruiting Your Own School: The aggy Screenshot Megathread
Well I sure can’t think of any meaningful distinction between King and Mond that may be causing aggy fans to react to them differently.

Post-Game : We Won. They Lost. ULL is Ass
Generally or based on your rewatch? My initial impression of the game was that Luke played pretty damn well and Gbenda tended to get caught up in the wash. He took a terrible angle on their td run and it seemed to be his responsibility to turn that back inside, but I may be wrong. They caught us with a good play call there.

Texas Football 2021 In-Season Thread: Can we get a redo?
Another small thing that I haven’t seen mentioned but shows we are in much better hands: After going at a methodical, deliberate offensive tempo for the whole game, in the 2Q (I think?) we complete a pass for a first down and hit them with a really fast hurry-up out of nowhere. Fast enough the broadcast is caught off guard and doesn’t even get back in time from the replay to show it. Anyway, the play doesn’t do much but we do catch them with 12 men on the field/illegal sub. Got a free play, a 1st and 5, and throws their defense a bit off-balance knowing we can do that. So nice to see a smart, strategic use of something rather than just “going fast” for the sake of it without any thought behind it.

Post-Game : We Won. They Lost. ULL is Ass
For all the talk about the playmakers in the ULL defensive backfield and how they bait qbs into throws, Card didn’t really seem to fall for any of it. His incompletions were mainly overthrows on deep balls where he had man coverage and balls that he threw away when he had nothing there (or was running for his life). Unless I’m forgetting one, I don’t think he had any really bad decisions with the ball we were lucky didn’t get picked off. He’s lucky he didn’t fumble when he got sacked by the free rusher he never saw though.

There is a bit more evidence than that

Brando is an all time thundercunt. Never seen a stick stuck further up a commentator’s ass than the one he has for UT. Did Jamison get hurt? I don’t think I saw him out there in the second half and seemed like we were getting a lot of Barron. Sorry if already discussed, been drinking.

[Game Thread] Ragin Cajuns at Longhorns - We're gonna fuck people up
It was a good TO. If he doesn’t all the clever guys on here say, “I was told there were going to be no breaks”. From a risk/reward standpoint it was crazy for Napier to go for it there, but he did it and got 3 points out of it. Good for him. Doesn’t mean it was the wrong call from Sark.

Game Week- Louisiana
I guess Whit would be the logical guess if so.

Game Week- Louisiana
This is interesting, I'm sure some stat nerds have done some breakdown on whether the "deeper" team is usually significantly better down the stretch on extremely hot days. One example doesn't mean anything and technically we did outscore them in the 2nd half. And this. Who gives a shit what the temperature is when you have Garrett Gray as your starting TE.

Game Week- Louisiana
Team portion of humidor. There is a cryptic note at the end about a starter who’s not expected to play.

I completely missed that Marcel Brooks was moved to WR, kind of surprising. And gotdamn, Banks is a bowling ball.

Never-mind, I’m dumb- The University of Texas (and other national programs) to be featured in Madden 22
Exciting look for Swaim, except they spelled his name wrong. I guess they didn’t just want to recreate the 05-06 team but Dave Thomas should clearly be there. They also seemed to lean heavy toward current NFL players, Hill and Boyd over guys like Aaron Ross, Westbrook, Aaron Williams. Makes it weird that Diggs isn’t there though.- Game Week- Louisiana
And the announcing crew will misidentify it as Bijan until they come back from commercial and correct that it was actually Jamison.- 2021 Fall Camp Thread - Bend Over & I’ll Continue Showing You
Was about to say the same thing. Should be a front that really opens things up for linebackers to run free and fuck shit up.- $9.95 worth every penny
Haha, Sooner mod calling Lincoln a dick because he’s pissy about his access. Love to see it.- 2021 Fall Camp Thread - Bend Over & I’ll Continue Showing You
You keep saying this and I don’t get why exactly. I guess you are talking about Okafor, Tope, and Brewer but our success doesn’t really hinge on the light coming on for any of those guys, let alone all three. Okafor and Tope are just 2 of the 8 guys we have fighting for playing time on the line (and Tope is unlikely to even start) As mentioned at least Okafor is finally playing the correct position. Brewer is fine even if athletically he’s never been the same after getting injured early in his career. He can be useful if he’s put in positions that play to his strengths and we have a lot of younger, more athletic guys at TE to do the things he can’t do. Plenty to worry about, but our offense relying on 6 year JAGs in order to be any good just isn’t really one of them.- 2021 Fall Camp Thread - Bend Over & I’ll Continue Showing You
