  1. First time this century, all good things must come to an end.
  2. I agree that Portland was lucky last season, they were exposed in the WCF. Have you watched the Lakers after the season resumed? They're terrible. They give up more 3 pt shots than anyone, not exactly a recipe for success when you play a team that is loaded with 3pt shooters such as Portland. Nobody outside of LeBron or AD has been able to consistently produce any kind of offense. Kuzma has been up and down, he's their 3rd most potent player on offense. Dame is red hot right now, the Lakers not so much. The Lakers squeaked out a win against Denver's backups (It took a miracle shot by Kuzma over Bol Bol to win that contest) and got walloped by the Kings.
  3. Whiteside can hang with AD. He's been solid defensively this season. Who's going to guard Dame or CJ?
  4. I'm interested in seeing the odds Vegas would make for a Lakers/Blazers 1st round series. Phoenix and Memphis have sizable leads in the 4th, Portland has to beat Brooklyn and they're in. Y'all know damn well the Lakers with their inability to defend the three want absolutely nothing to do with the likes of Dame and CJ. The Lakers are fools gold, never would I bet against a #1 seed in the west during the opening round, but the Lakers are nothing but a shit show in the bubble.
  5. Dallas fans won't enjoy seeing this, but everyone else will.
  6. CJ and Nurkic were awful and Portland still won. If Portland seeds #8 they're going to fuck the Lakers up.
  7. I'm going to laugh manically if the Lakers go one and done after their best regular season finish in a decade. If the Lakers draw Portland in the first round Dame and CJ are going to fuck their shit up.
  8. I agree, we've witnessed the ceiling with DDR, it's a #8 seed. If the Spurs could swing a sign and trade for DeRozan that would be huge. Only thing is there will be a lack of suitors, the Knicks have cap space, but nothing besides draft capital to unload and I doubt they'd part way with valuable picks for a 31 year old playoff choker in hopes of ending their playoff futility. Lonnie and Derrick White are nice complimentary pieces, but none of those guys are going to put this team over the top. I'm enjoying the younger players getting minutes, but the wins the Spurs have accumulated are fucking them out of draft position, they need a superstar. Who wants to watch the Spurs get destroyed by the Lakers in 4 or 5 games for the sake of a meaningless streak? Not this guy, that chapter reached an end with the retirement of Tim/Manu ,TP moving on and the bitch ass nephew demanding a trade.
  9. The last thing I want to see is the Spurs overpay for Jakob. His offensive game hasn't showed any kind of development after joining the Spurs, let someone else overpay for him in similar fashion to Boban, Dedmon, Baynes, etc. The NBA continues to evolve and shift towards a small ball philosophy. I'm impressed with Keldon Johnson, I loved the pick and that he fell all the way to the Spurs. Keldon has displayed a competitive drive and a desire to win playing much bigger than his size. Murray has been a mystery this season, I expected better from him.
  10. One team that is being overlooked is Portland. They've arguably played the toughest slate since the season rebooted and managed to go 4-2 losing by 4 to Boston and 5 to the Clippers while pulling off wins against Houston, Denver, Memphis and Philly. The Lakers have dropped 4 of their last 5 and could easily drop another vs Denver, if a hot Portland team wins out and faces the Lakers as the #8 seed could Portland possibly catch the Lakers sleepwalking and advance to the semis? It's 2020 and all kinds of crazy shit is going down, so why not?
  11. Big 12 North : Iowa, Iowa St, Kansas St, KU, Nebraska & WVU Big 12 South : Texas, OU, Okie St, TTU, TCU & Baylor Make it happen!
  12. Trade Forbes? To who and for what? He's borderline worthless, he brings some 3-pt shooting that goes in spurts, when it falls consistently he can break even on the +/- end, when his shooting is spotty he's heavily on the - end because his defense ranks close to the worst in the entire NBA. LMA deserves a feel good ending, if Portland wasn't in cap hell the reunion he seeks there would be a fitting ending to his career. Things didn't work out the way he envisioned in SA with the nephew going full bitch ass. Who would want DeRozan? Possibly the Knicks or Magic? The Knicks have jack shit to offer in a trade. Can't envision any other suitors.
  13. There is a lot of speculation going around that the Big 10 could cancel all of their fall sports before their meeting on Tuesday and the PAC is leaning towards cancelling as well. If they cancel there will be an overwhelming amount of pressure on the Big 12, SEC and ACC to follow suit. I had an uneasy feeling that when conferences began cancelling OOC slates that the dominoes wouldn't stop falling there.
  14. The early 2000s OL recruiting was spot on, then things began to go to shit as Colt's career progressed then never got back on track. Guys with mean streaks like Kasey Studdard and Lyle Sendlein who were scrappers in the trenches ended up being replaced by choir boy patsies such as Chris Hall and Michael Huey and things never really got back on track. Imagine the end of Colt's college career with some adequate offensive linemen compared to the likes of Ulatoski, Hall, Tanner, Huey, Greg fucking Smith, the bust Mason Walters etc. None of those guys sniffed an NFL roster. Wickline was pretty much a joke, the verdict is still out on Herb Hand. He's sported the best OL in recent history, but that ain't saying a whole lot considering the lack of on field performance and player development the last 12 years.
  15. Zach Evans punched his Black HS FB coach for taking his phone away. You think he's going to sit and chill if a White coach called a Black player a racial slur?
  16. https://johnvogel.football/2020/08/03/tcu-football-player-takes-internal-story-public-rebuked-by-teammates It appears a lot of TCU players are becoming vocal about this and they're not angry at Patterson, they're angry at Dylan Jordan. Honestly, reading his post he went public with it sounds like a butt hurt malcontent that was pissed he didn't have a starting gig handed to him and he had an ulterior motive. He accused Gary Patterson of attacking him racially and that wasn't the case which was confirmed by numerous players.
  17. Spurs are fucking themselves out of decent draft position. At least Patty was back to replace Marco shooting off-balance threes to make things interesting.
  18. The aggy become realistic when they're denied the luxury of their cream puff OOC slate. Colorado, Abilene Christian, Fresno and UNT will be replaced with the likes of UF and UGA, that's 4 easy wins replaced with 2 likely losses. The aggy are going to turn on Jumbo quickly after this season.
  19. Let the meltdown commence :
  20. That was the largest issue. Pop refused to deal with the Lakers so the Spurs shipped Kawhi to Toronto where he ultimately had the last laugh because he won an NBA title and signed with an LA team which was his preferred destination. The Lakers ended up with Anthony Davis to pair with LeBron and were primed for a #1 seed before the shutdown began setting up a Kawhi vs LeBron showdown in the WCF.
