  1. Over 58 on Hawaii for me.
  2. Agreed the card rooms are great, but the time charge for smaller tourneys is really hard to beat. $150 tourney, say you play for 4 hours, it turns into at 150+40. Plus the membership fee.
  3. South one isn't open anymore (not sure if it will reopen). Full House is near Parmer/Mopac. Cheaper time charge. I've only played it twice, not as many tables as TCH, but action appears similar.
  4. For the Stanley, just get a drink or two and sit on the front porch. That is all you need to do. Definitely drive through Trail Ridge Road to get to Winter Park instead of driving down to I-70.
  5. Cole Hammer is in the quarterfinals of the US Amateur at Pebble Beach. I think on FS1 tonight and Fox this weekend.
  6. Sorry I missed you ā€œother Gregā€. We need to play again soon.
  7. I did not walk. Courses weren't very walkable. You could, but very hilly.
  8. Just got back from French Lick Resort in Indiana. Played 36 holes on Monday and 36 on Tuesday. Old fat guy is sore. Kind of remote but highly recommend it. Two great courses, cool old hotel and a casino. I will try and post pics later. https://www.frenchlick.com/
  9. Was he 13? Thought the rule change went into effect this year and you have to be 12 as of August 31. Regardless, he was a monster.

The comments to the poll in the Northwest Hills Next Door are idiotic. One person is talking about rowdy soccer crowds donā€™t go together with the ā€œupscale Domainā€. Led another guy to link the 15 worst soccer disasters in history and say we donā€™t need that one Austin. Fucking morons.
  12. Thatā€™s exactly what they told me.
  13. Yeah, my friends who had kids playing LL this year said the bats this year were really dead.
  14. They also really deadened the bats this year. Nope.
  15. My current hood. Apparently a car chase/crash followed by exchange of gunfire.
  16. Fucking bastard. And no, Iā€™m not the guy still taking that bet. Just lost once.
  17. Thanks. Thinking about it, I certainly could have 4 bet with QQ, and possibly JJ if I was a little nutty, and that flop would have been very bad for that.
  18. Good point. Played at Texas Card House yesterday afternoon. Guy at my 1/2 table blew through about 2700, 300 at a time. Nice table to play.
  19. Balancing doesnā€™t really apply in this game, as I rarely play there. That said, thanks for all the input. Iā€™m fine with how I played it, but doing it over again would probably chrck Then I would be posting on here when someone hit the damn straight on the turn.
  20. Played at Full House last night, 1/2 game, bought in for 200, have 165 in front of me after about 20 minutes. I'm UTG +2 with AA. UTG (covers me) opens to 10, UTG+1 (also covers me) raises to 25. Both of these players seem very laggy in the time I've been there. I 4 bet to 75 and they both call. Flop comes AKx rainbow. They both check and I shove for 95. They both fold. So I made 150 out of the hand, but felt like I left another 100 or so out there. In all honesty I wasn't trying to take it down right there, but with a 225 pot that wasn't a bad result. I really did expect one of them to call, and I thought checking that flop after a 4 bet PF would have been way too suspicious. Thoughts?
  21. How is that possible? They are 5minutes from each other.
  22. Going for a week in mid-October for our 20th anniversary. Booked an Air BnB right on Rue du Petit Champlain for a week and just made reservations at Le Lapin Saute for our anniversary night. Other than that, going to play it by ear. Cocktails at Chateau Frontenac definitely on the list.
  23. My wife and I are going for a week in October. Let me know of any recommendations you may have after your trip.
