  1. Fair enough. My post was more analyzing the plausibility of debt repayment overall and not whichever particular, absurd tone deaf method was employed.
  2. Insert Doc rivers gif. Didn’t want to neg without a response so here ya go.
  3. I believe it. A former classmate I know had a similar story run on her and even got to go on GMA, etc after paying off comparable law school loans in 5 years. Course she lived at home and went directly into big law making six figures her first year, and probably closer to 3-400 by that fifth. Not saying it doesn’t take work to save/pay that high of a quantity but whole helluva lot easier when your annual salary equals or exceeds your goal. “Save $150,000 in 2 years! First step, find a job that pays over $200,000. See, it’s easy!!!” Like wtf….
  4. Didn’t expect much but it was just okay. Not great but not as bad as people have said. Thought it was loads better than Shang chi, that one definitely the worst MCU movie I’ve seen. agree with the above that the “greatest” feat was making salma ugly.
  5. Stupid question amnesty, isn’t it modifying the entire name? As in if you have a different middle name you aren’t really a II, III, IV, etc?
  6. I actually saw the first comment just as the video started playing so I thought it was a cop joke at first (until I heard the train horn). edit: will add the vid title on phone only says, “Pilot pulled out of crashed plane…”
  7. You essentially described every normal human 21-55 years old in nyc. High vaxx rates, high mask usage, but after Omni and first wave, almost everyone has had it. And most bartenders at restaurants mask up for their shift (although Friday I was at a bar only spot with no masked staff) (antivaxxers ain’t normal) Although I’m curious which cult you think it means. If you look at tiger droppings, you’re definitely deep state.
  8. Well he did look young for 65, that’s for sure.
  9. On another thread, forgot where, there was a word for things in alphabetical order and all I can think of is the other poster who wrote callipygian so my tipsy brain is on the fritz. Anyone got suggestions? Thanks in advance! edit: google no help so far either. edit2: google came through finally: abecedarian
  10. That’s because part of our population is quite sizeable and very well might.
  11. That was not my experience in nyc. Very similar experience to FTC’s. From about second week of December to now it’s been weeks wait. Hopefully it gets easier after omicron dies down
  12. Escúchame?! Peggy clown shoe Hill is a treasure!
  13. At the end of the day, still a Darwin Award winner. What a waste
  14. That was later stated in the opinion piece. Pretty sure it’s the page behind this one or the political Covid thread in CR. I have a sister and cousin who are antivaxx so I am worried about them and love them but ultimately, I can’t live anyone else’s life.
  15. Bob seemed more like he was overconfident in his immune system/physical abilities. Happens to all of us from time to time. He chose poorly. That one is sad. But Kelly and Duke? Fuck’em. Like someone else’s link said: Deliberately causing your own death from a preventable disease isn't a tragedy. It's evolution.
  16. Probably asked so sorry in advance, but is there data on omicron in the unvaxxed? Keep seeing that it is mild here and elsewhere but nothing definitive on whether the mildness is true for everyone or only the vaxxed. Although people have posted that boosted have the least effects.
  17. Ha. With the limited emoticons on here, I always figured the hook’em response to a poster announcing a positive covid test was more of a “dang, that sucks, hope you feel better”. Least that’s how I’ve been using it, dunno about others.
  18. Got Moderna booster yesterday at 2pm after Pfizer 2x back in May 2021. Felt off and lackadaisical after Pfizer but this one is different. Arm feels like it got mike tyson-ed and slight headache but otherwise main “concern” is my joints feel like they’ve been replaced with little Gumby figurines. I generally like popping my joints with a good stretch but from ankles to neck, no popping. They just feel “off”, or kinda fungible/squishy. Either way, I expect to be back to normal tomorrow (that was the case with Pfizer).
  19. Fuck that guy and fuck all antivaxxers.
  20. What part of the 80s? Cause at least from 86-90 gold mine was first floor of highland mall. edit: late to the game and seems everyone above got it right. Tilt was something before tilt but I have no idea what.
  21. Not to sound trumpian, but never seen the testing sites crowded like they are now (we wouldn’t have as many cases if we only stopped testing!). Granted, there have never been as many testing sites as now but every mobile site in my neighborhood has lines at least an avenue block long, and been that way all week. Still don’t know anyone older than toddler age test positive in this wave but seems more a matter of if, not when. edit: when not if*
