  1. That’s it. There are other similar products on amazon, no clue if they are just as good though.
  2. The Salbree microwave popper. I suck at posting pics otherwise I would. Easy to clean, no oil needed, Cheap, no worries about bag chemicals, and I usually have less than 3 or 4 unpopped kernels. Also found that the kernels I can buy (Goya is the best I’ve found) at a normal supermarket “look” better than almost all the bag varieties. my family loved popcorn growing up so I have it often, once a week at least. I try to make it “healthier” by using 1tablespoon of olive oil per 2 oz of kernels and less salt but it still tastes bad ass.
  3. My initial worry was That they’d lock down the MTA, but now I don’t think they will unless absolutely positively have to and there is literally no other option. They’ll cancel schools, work remotely, force people to not ride at rush hour, anything before the MTA goes down. I’m all for protecting people over the economy but if you shut down nyc you close the stock market and not sure that will be better in the long run. Or that we can climb out of that hole for a very long time.
  4. Ha, yeah the portions are generous to say the least And price wise definitely worth it. Astoria has some good dance bars just no one knows about. But on topic, everyone here just kosher. Corona just a beer. Lesson here for me to keep level headed for my elder relatives and folks. But again, I’m not 100 positive but pretty sure no one said millions dead but only that it hits the elderly disproportionately hard. Not hating on you @Hate just saying I’ve only been an “alarmist” for my parents bc they are in that range so I’m worried for them but not for me. I would much rather this all just be an over reaction than consider losing my elders, be they my parents or aunts and uncles. Here’s to hoping that this is all bs and people can point to me for being too alarmist and everything turned out ok in the end
  5. Deja vu on 28th ave and 32nd st. English the fourth most spoken language After port, Spanish, And some random ass Baltic language
  6. Did I say I wasn’t? And no one claimed that so keep being you bro, see you on the other side Edit: I mean of this corona scare. I honestly do appreciate your call out posts if only cause it’s easy to see the cdc, epidemiologists, government officials from the uk and USA say “prepare and it could get worse” before falling into alarmist personal territory. I am guilty of that. But we’ll see who is/was right. But what is your position? That it is no worse than a flu? Honest question cause I’ve only see your posts say every alarmist is full of shit but not what you actually think will happen or assessment of what “we” are dealing with.
  7. I’ve been as big an “alarmist” here as others but tonight at my local unofficial/unlawful dance club in Astoria, all under 45 and hopefully over 21, and no one gives a shit. Business as usual. Just saying. Everyone smoking hookah and drinking, dancing like normal. I have conflicting trains of thought: 1) worry about my 75 year old parents but be reassured by all the naysayers who say this thread is just panic but also 2) look at the cdc and uk officials saying hold onto your butts while I look at some nice ass Latina, Baltic, Portuguese ladies dancing with no worries. fuck it, don’t know what to believe. Maybe I’ll just go with the Hemingway quote “I’ll live until I die and I’m not afraid of foxes”
  8. With epa evisceration and climate denying, could you really tell the difference in KIA in the end?
  9. I get other people might not be saints but why die on the trump hill? They suck off nazis and protect child molesters. Better places to say democrats suck and people might agree.
  10. Fuck them, the cdc, and every other state that does this.
  11. This is the cluster that infected the nursing home? And we still don’t know how it got to Washington state or the nursing home, right?
  12. Why? Link to substantiate? I’m not saying south by doesn’t bring in good money But it isn’t like Austin has a tiny entertainment industry that no one attends on a nightly or weekly basis or isn’t kicking ass during RoT, hs championships, damn near every wknd in the fall. I’ll be honest and admit it’ll hurt but hyperbole alarmist claims of cratering and closing small businesses in the Austin economy ... come on. I feel like CTJ here! I’m open to a counter argument but it’s gotta be convincing.
  13. Points? Like license points? Where was that info? That’s fair and good points all around. It was Only a matter of time I guess. I work a block down from the westchester law firm dude so that isn’t great. Next 12-14 days should be interesting no matter what happens.
  14. Please, feel free to not post on a thread that triggers you so much. People looking for info won’t mind. Or at least be funny in your trolling
  15. Probably goes on the dumb question amnesty thread (and I already fucked up once but people keep asking this around me) but in regards to getting it twice, the doctor on the Saturday conference said no way. but isn’t the common cold a coronavirus and we only know of 7 kinds of coronaviruses? So then how do people keep getting colds throughout the years? If we can’t get covid19 twice, then I’m definitely getting something wrong, but which part? Thanks in advance.
