Those were worthless, deterred nothing, and achieved nothing but good optics for the administration.

And tearing up the Iran deal? That does not seem worthless. And pisses off Russia.

He’s been remarkably consistent when it comes to Russia and China.  He’s repeatedly signaled he views them as our equals, which is new for us.

He’s never expressed any interest in promoting democracy or the values we have projected since WWII.

In fact, he seems hell bent on dismantling the international world order we’ve created with our western allies.

Don’t be fooled, there is a method to his madness.

How do the two military strikes in Syria fit into that narrative?

Or why it was really important to make noise about this issues while there was a democrat  black guy in the White House, but apparently now it isn't important since there is nothing that can be done about it. I mean, if you think about it, rising debt and deficits are no ones fault. At least not until it becomes political expedient to blame the democrats again.

If Trump is going to take us to war, I'd wager he's going to do it in this Hemisphere.

The whole "Spheres of Influence" thing is what I base this speculation.

This is the doctrine I see the Trump Administration leaning towards.

Russia has their sphere (Crimea, Eastern Europe).

China has their sphere (Indo China, South China Seas).

America has their sphere (The Americas).

IMO it's a terrible shift away from what we've been doing.

Doctrines require consistency. Trump is too stupid to remember what he said or thought the day before. He has the brain of a Hamster with ADD. There will be no doctrines. And if you ever think you see one shaping up, it will be something entirely different the next day.

America has become the vagrant who wanders into a fast food restaurant. The rest of the world sits awkwardly in their booths wondering if we will politely get some ice water and be on our way or if we drop our pants and begin masterbating while singing "Freebird" at the top of our lungs.

I wonder if he knows where Venezuela is or how big it is. Trump likes the idea of being a war president (to use W's strange vernacular) with the whole country behind him in a nice bully job.

He didn't invent this, of course. We'd hear the same thing we did leading to the Iraq invasion. We're deposing Hitler. We'll be hailed as liberators. Everybody loves it when an American army rolls through their country killing people.

Then we have another guerilla war on our hands where the neighboring countries don't want to get involved and the allies Trump has alienated sit the whole thing out.

    It's an American tradition!

Trump adds his mark through twitter.

Democrats don't support war. Don't want to WIN and MAGA. Fake news lying about the liberation. SAD! Do something!

To be fair, if we are going to balloon our deficit for record military spending, we've got to get into a couple of wars. What's the point of having a Ferrari if you never take it out of the garage. Republicans love debt and war.

Could be, she's a smart, slippery crook.  She knows how to slither her ways thru the halls of gov't and leave an almost imperceptible slime trail.

Thank God we've got the Texags politics board, Sean Hannity and Alex Jones out there doing God's work to find the evidence to finally bring her down!!!

Now we just need to get together and VOTE, we've got to get Republicans running the government again, so that TRUE justice can finally be brought to the Clintons. SICK and TIRED of these crooked LIBTARDS running everything and protecting Hildabeast.

Who knows, maybe the evidence got all smashed up with a hammer and the 30,000 e mails that were trashed can't be recovered.

Sounds like Donald's campaign team should have got some advice from Hillary. Would have saved them a shit ton on legal fees and kept them out of prison.

    Looks like someone feels threatened.

Coming from the official WH account is a new low.

Forcibly separating children from their parents for a misdemeanor is still quite a bit lower.

    Putin: You rawdog pornstars!

Trump: Ya, good point, OK go ahead, please not in the hair though.

Are you this slow on the uptake? Huckleberry asked:

He is implying that I am denying or ever denied this. I have not at all. I have always maintained that it was okay to abort the baby who is the product of rape. It's okay not to as well.

You must be a fan of those multi-generation North Korean work camps as well.

I think a lot of people who are pro-life (not all though) would change their view if their wife or daughter was impregnated as the result of incest or rape.  To me, those are the exceptions along with the mother's life at risk and some medical condition that would lead to the child living an awful life or suffering.

Sure, they would not want to be inconvenienced (physically, emotionally, financially, etc.) by having that child, so they would abort it, even thought they might think it's wrong in general. Different women will have different feelings on where that inconvenience line is, for some rape, for others it might be a 17 year old rich white girl losing her virginity to a crack head at a rave whose baby will cost her a spot in the Theta house at SMU. For others it might be her and her boyfriend are flat our broke and know they can't support a child. For others it might be that the doctor told them the fetus is damaged and the child will be born with no eyes and one foot. There are a thousand different reasons why the discovery of a zygote will result in a women (or couple) deciding that the physical, emotional and financial burden of having a child is unbearable and rather than create a dependent with nobody to depend on, they'd rather deal with the emotional stress of removing a cluster of cells from their body. It's a choice that should left to the mother, not the government.

How are you drawing this conclusion from what was said?

He said that abortion is murder and should be illegal except in cases of rape, incest etc.. Which is akin to saying, you should not be allowed to murder an innocent child, unless it's father is a rapist, then it's OK to murder the criminal's innocent child.

For what it's worth, I am as pro-choice as they come, I'm just trying to expand the thought experiment.

I was pretty pro-choice until about a year ago when I read something on shaggy, actually, that changed my mind. And I'm sure my wife being pregnant has some influence.

Your wife and you are trying to have a baby. She gets pregnant. You are happy to be starting a family.  Not long after, she is "stabbed" in the stomach by a mugger on the way back to your car. The mother lives, the baby dies.

Do you want the mugger that stabbed your wife to be charged with murder?

Intellectual honesty renders me incapable of denying that yes, I would want them charged with the murder of my unborn baby.

Abortion is murder. Beyond rape, incest, danger to mother's life and an imminent life of suffering for the baby, it should be illegal.

So, being intellectually honest, your OK with the murder of a criminal's child because of a crime committed by his or her father?

If we're being intellectually honest, I'm assuming you would not be OK with the Government killing a convicted murder's child as punishment for the father's crime.

I could give you about a thousand examples of the president purposefully misleading people. Does that count?

I suppose if you were somebody that believed every word out of the President's mouth, then you would think the media is fake.

    Trump: 1+1 equals 3

    CNN: Actually, 1+1 equals 2

Trump's Base: Haha, CNN is fake news, they just said 1+1 equals 2, FAKE NEWS, Trump told us the truth, it equals 3.

So good that his propaganda is working with Dems too?

Of course it's bad to paint anything with one big brush, but are the elements of the media that routinely mislead people really friends of the American people?

The press misleading people is nothing new imo. Nowadays it's just easier to check them on it and since their power has been threatened they're lashing out and acting like fools.

Can you give me an example of a mainstream media outlet (obviously, not including Fox News) purposefully misleading people? With all this "fake news" talk out there, I rarely see reports that are wrong, and the few times they are, they are immediately corrected.
