  1. Reminded me of the Surly Ophiologist community
  2. Nice win last night over Arkansas. Congrats!
  3. BS. Foreign competition made our cars way better in the 80’s and beyond. The big three had to step up their game and that’s why we aren’t driving pieces of shit like the Pinto anymore.
  4. You think Bond was better than Worthy, Mitchell, and Golden?
  5. I distinctly remember trying to climb onto the hood through the sunroof on i35. Cringe at the memory to this day. I also remember my friend splitting semis on i35. Wtf. Lucky to be here.
  6. I was pondering that same thing last week. I guess the hesitation is arms manufacturing. We just have the best shit and it’s not even close.
  7. She’s a great player and singer. Helped offset Cyrus’s singing (not a hater, just don’t like her voice).
  8. My modern rankings (Mack - 2024) for qb1’s: Vince - not debatable Colt - tough, competitive, athletic, elite accuracy, elite decision making his jr and sr years. Went 3-1 against OU… Ewers - actually very similar to colt in that they both excelled in the intermediate passing game, except he didn’t grow into the elite decision making ability like colt and not as athletic as colt. Let’s be honest, he’s not as tough either. However, he was still damn good and helped sark resurrect this program. Went 2-1 against OU (would be 3-0 if our defense didn’t give up a td with one minute to play). Went 2-2 in the playoffs. Beat Bama at Bama. Sam - put Ewers’ arm on this action figure badass and we would have won the big12 2x despite Mensa’s idiocy. Simms - great player and elite arm, but not a big game player. OU and Mack f’d his head up pretty good. Beuchele - could’ve been great, but Charlie Strong era not so good and the not a fit for Mensa’s offense. Applewhite - favorite of mine when I was at UT, great competitor, but just lacking in arm and athleticism. Case Herpa Derk! - horrible qb but fuck aTm. Riverwalk Romeo. Amateur home movie buff.
  9. Do it! It sounds as good as it looks.
  10. Bad news - Guild getting returned. Good news - Hummingbird purchased today.
  11. Dropped it off at the luthier’s house today. Good news - I’m not crazy Bad news - the neck is off. It has a “belly bulge” between the sound hole and side. maybe good news - my guy is going to keep it a few days and then render an opinion. It it’s fixable, he can do it. If not, he’ll tell me and I can either return it or send it to Guild to fix.
  12. Okay, I waited. Finish is great. Guitar sounds amazing, but in need of a major setup.
  13. America is to blame. I’m also to blame as many years ago I got my youngest into Luke Bryan to torture my wife and oldest son road trips. Really funny for a month. Not so much on road trips for years to follow. It was unintentional musical immolation. #noragrets
  14. The guild d-55 arrived today but I’m supposed to let it acclimate for 24 hours. What’s this bullshit and do I have to do it?
  15. Got a steal on the guild d-55 open box. Now I wait for it to ship from New York… Will post pictures when it arrives. Me watching YouTube reviews the last few weeks while shopping for it:
  16. He seems to correct weaknesses year to year. I bet he figures out some run wrinkles.
  17. He was on the sideline and seemed to have his helmet. So I doubt it.
  18. Great season. Can’t wait for the next one. Hats off to Ohio State.
  19. I really thought this would be the game that sark shook something up to make good halftime adjustments at halftime. I was wrong…
  20. Jackal was really good. Highly recommend.
  21. Read the review in the wsj. Basically it sounds really good but also really dark (like Revenant).
