  1. Oklahoma State also seems to always have a stout line with scrub recruits.
  2. Not sure about the DL. They wore out against a powerful run game because they were always on the field. The defense held up okay to start the game. At least two of their touchdowns were pure gifts by our offense.
  3. I’ve seen this movie before. OU plays defense likes this against us. Very aggressive knowing that we are trying to run our underneath stuff and ground game. It always works too unless you have a VY, Colt, or, hopefully, Casey Thompson that are ballers and punish you with quick decisions, pushing the ball down the field over the top of your aggression. Card missed on every chance he had to do that tonight. Well, except the one drop. Casey just loves to burn you over the top. I love that in a quarterback. He’s a baller. Let card develop more and have the job in two years.
  4. Swap complete. I’ll post a better picture when I get it back from the tech. If you guys want great deals on new shit, Alamo Music in downtown SA hooks it up.
  5. I think we view the payment as an obstacle of GTFO. Staying until 2025 is like breaking up with your girlfriend because you’ve found someone way hotter, but you’re going to keep living with the old gal until your lease is up on the apartment and therefore can’t bang said new girl.
  6. It’s pretty low. I think I’m going to say F it and swap it for an Ultra Strat in Texas Tea.
  7. On a more positive note, the Taylor 356ce 12 string is unbelievable. I can’t put it down.
  8. I need some advice. Bought a new Jazzmaster Ultra for a steal ($1550 or so); love the way it sounds, love the neck and frets, but cannot stand the tension of the strings. It’s strung with my normal D’Addario 10’s that I use for all of my guitars, but it might as well be a bass guitar if you’re trying to do some bends. Bar chords really get tiresome after a bit too. The shop I bought it at did a terrible job of setting it up. My independent guy put some new strings on it and made a slight adjustment on the bridge to see if it got better and it did a little. I have a few days left to take it back. Trying to decide if I just take the loss and trade it in, or have my tech take a stab at a full setup with new strings (maybe 9’s this time). Question is, am I wasting my money on a lost cause or could this be my dream guitar if I just invest a little more money into it?
  9. Good OL play usually takes time. Even OU’s lines don’t get to full dominance till mid season it seems. I believe in flood and am optimistic they will get better every week.
  10. I have always wondered if they delay the video a bit so that the announcers look smarter.
  11. On his podcast he had Joel Klatt, who’s awesome, but chip kept fellating him to the point JT was awkward. Love me some Klatt though. Hope he jumps ship with us to espn.
  12. Look who found her forever home today. Alamo Music really hooked me up. Also, did not realize they are the #1 Taylor distributor in the country. Must be all of those YouTube videos.
  13. Wouldn’t you guys have pissed yourselves a few hours into the blackout if you’re that drunk?
  14. Well, I think of the suffering as character building for my kids. I’m not kidding, I’m 2019 we flew frontier direct to LA (2.5 hrs) and my kids couldn’t get water because they charged for it. Makes them think twice before asking me to buy them something stupid on Amazon.
  15. Also by law they have to seat you next to your kids or something.
  16. My attitude is just “get me there.” Noise cancelling headphones are critical. I will not let the airline win. Base fares for the family and we shove everything into one carryon or, God forbid, one checked bag.
  17. Took my son to a cowboy game a few years ago and I was dismayed at the level of intoxication by seemingly everyone there, even in the fancy seats we were in. Therefore I’m not shocked at the poor form of the punches and lack of power.
  18. It’s a good argument. However, would you change your opinion knowing we haven’t had a military casualty since February 2020?
  19. The sunk costs suck but they are sunk. But our current and future military presence was going to be minimal to keep our strategic goals mostly secure. No doubt we will be less safe as a country when the Taliban inevitably takes over and ISIS and Al Quaeda flourish. I think we as Americans have taken for granted how safe and insulated our nation has been for 20 years from international terrorism. That might change pretty soon literally because of this hasty withdrawal.
  20. Nonsense. We had 3,000 troops there keeping the peace with very limited hostile interactions at this point. This also kept the country from falling into the hands of the barbaric Taliban again where terrorism and cruelty will fostered. In addition, we had a great strategic military position between Iran and Pakistan. This is a failure politically, diplomatically, and strategically (militarily). Biden took the L for no reason. It’s not an issue here domestically and now we are weaker internationally. Why don’t we just close all of our foreign bases in Germany, Italy, Japan, etc.? Because it’s stupid strategy, that’s why!
  21. I hope the season is more entertaining than the first episode of Hard Knocks. That was horrible.
  22. Halfway through it. It’s hard to watch because I feel bad for him, he was one of my favorite actors growing up, and this movie makes me feel old as shit.
