  1. Answer is pretty obvious based on the last two presidential elections and their primaries. The voting populace in the swing states want populism and inclusiveness, not progressive/socialist eco policy and intersectionality. Look at the repudiation of Hillary in 2016 by the working class. Look at the house seats flipping red in 2020. And Biden barely winning against a populist president because he explicitly did not run on progressive policies and distanced himself from the AOC crowd once the general got underway. Also I think this election is a lot more decisive for the dem populist if he doesn’t botch the fracking narrative. Politics 101 - never ever talk about ending an industry that provides a lot of high paying jobs for working class people. Dems, you should start taking traditional coastal states for granted and start focusing on the flyovers.
  2. I need some help with my ideal guitar collection. I have a Gibson LP Studio that I bought 25 years ago and will not ever sell and a Mexican Strat. Background - I play a lot of guitar, I’m in a band, we barely make any money doing it and we don’t care I was thinking I really need an American srat because it’s kind of my go to guitar, but I also really want a telly after playing my friend’s new player series. Also would love to add a Gibson es or something similar. questions: Which Fender would you get in American if you had to pick one? If you said American, are noiseless pickups better for recording or live than non noiseless? Is there that much difference between an Epiphone ES and Gibson?
  3. The Fox News nerdery that calls states is usually on point. I think they knew late last night that the remaining votes were from very blue districts.
  4. Agree, @SwanderedTalent, very well put together. Love the climactic riff. Also appreciated the subtle wah that adds some layers to the beginning.
  5. Thanks for all of the feedback. I’m enjoying listening to y’all’s work as well. Surly Super Group is going to happen eventually.
  6. I’m hoping this forum can sort of serve as a support group for all of us that play a little, a lot, or as a primary source of income. I’ll go first. Literally got the band back together for a high school reunion show. Since then we have been traveling around to meet up, drink fancy craft beer, and record (and in that order). When COVID started, we made it our goal to release a song per week until the end of the year. It’s really made the pandemic manageable by giving me some purpose (for myself, not work or family), a form of expression, and a sense of accomplishment. I’ve also been striving to get better at playing and recording, trying to take online lessons and learning new riffs. The song I posted “For the Moment” is our latest and my personal favorite.
  7. Can anyone give me a ballpark on replastering a 15k gallon pool, no hot tub. Just a range is fine.
  8. OU when I lived there that’s all they ever talked about when they weren’t talking cowboys.

  10. I just kept waiting for Leslie Stahl to say “what a pussy” for walking out, but I guess I’m old fashioned.

  12. I don’t think he gets fired this year unless Urban is in the bag and/or he finishes 5-5 or worse.
  13. I did last weekend. It was a small one from heb. It was very good.
  14. This Dabo stuff is pathetic. Whoever is putting this out there needs to be banished from sports media. Dabo is going to leave the program that gave him a shot, and that he has built into a juggernaut, to come rescue us from our dumpster fire? We are Tennessee at this point. We should be good, but the football gods have cursed us to wonder the plains of mediocrity for an unknown number of years as payment for the 1999-2009 run. I thought Sam had eliminated the curse when he beat UGA, but Bevo failed to kill Uga and thus the SEC mythical god of jinx was only injured but came back even stronger.
  15. Andy why don’t they just have a trap door or something for the fire box? Liability? Would be a lot easier than vacuuming my grill.
