  1. But the play call was probably that because the faith Quinn will actually sit back there and make a play past 8 yards is dwindling. He will either be way off with the pass or sit back there and cause himself to get sacked This is a bullshit take. Ewers's two best throws today were a deep in to Bolden and a zone hook to Helm. Sarkisian is shrinking the field.
  2. Of course. Just fucking catch it. We ran one deep in and Bolden was wide open on thitd down in the first quarter.
  3. I mean when you throw outside the numbers and behind the LOS what seems like 30% of your plays the defense is going to figure it out. That is one of the issues our offense has been facing.
  4. Damn Silas just block the gunner and it's a touchback
  5. Michigan Stadium isn't as loud as it could be with that many people but it was pretty loud for the first few drives. You know, until they realized they had no shot. After everything I'd heard about it I expected it to be much quieter.
  6. On PS5 it's triangle then L1. So I guess that's B then LB? Or Y then LB.
  7. And you should. This is the issue with rankings being released every week. All season long we talk about how good teams really are and that makes sense. That's predictive rating. But at the end of the season when it's all done and they're setting the playoff that should be about what you've actually done. Any undefeated team absolutely should be given every benefit of the doubt. I am well aware that after Travis went down FSU was nowhere near a top 4 team last year. I said as much at the time. But I still would have put them in the playoff and yes I know what's happened since then. The entire point of the playoff is letting things get proven on the field. Sure we all THINK some teams aren't good. But if nobody has beaten them and they have anything near a respectable schedule (read: not 2023 Liberty) then it hasn't been proven.
  8. No, FSU was not that great last year but obviously losing Travis made them even worse. They were top 10 quality with him but looked like a damn bottom 10 team without him. Even with Daniels's rookie performance I still might give Travis the hindsight Heisman. Which was obviously created in January of 2006 for all the idiots who messed that one up (hi Bohls!). Also, the composite is not Massey's rating. It averages dozens of systems.
  9. Must be really tough as a Yankees fan always having to watch other clubs take advantage of inherent built-in advantages.
  10. Haven't followed the conversation much but the noon eastern time slot draws better ratings than any other after controlling for teams and network. At least it did the last time I ran the analysis.
  11. Omg thank you for sharing the terrible news that we will have to play one of the players on our opponent's roster. Forfeiting should be considered.
  12. This season is going to make Sankey more against a 9 game conference schedule. Hell, they will consider rigging the schedule so top teams play only 1 other top team through early November. The Big Ten logjam is due to their season scheduling. 4 teams in the top 5, only two games between them so far, 3 for the whole season. In a round robin it would be twice as many total losses.
  13. Delivers a forearm shiver to an opposing player, worries about player safety amidst the danger of plastic water bottles landing on Field Turf 30 yards away.
  14. They're saying his name is dumb but as of now they expect him to play.
  15. Yeah that angle looks like a jam and a split second grab that I guarantee they let go dozens of times during the game.
  16. Correct. The issue is that they, and in particular Mar and his crew, let way more blatant holding that actually affects plays go all the time. I think the defensive holding has to be called. The one on the TE is basically never called in the Big 12 and especially this crew.
  17. I'm referring to the holding call on Utah TE #82 on their last full offensive drive.
  18. Yes and hopefully Sarkisian sees how much we need to attack the middle of the field in the passing game. Maybe he's scared of it because Ewers gets passes tipped so often with his arm slot but defenses are only worried about defending wide. Helm on the RPO yesterday, Bond on Ewers' bad miss on the first drive against OU, etc. Most of the time you see Texas with a free runner it's in the middle third of the field. We have to keep them honest. The pump fake WR screen was a good start but only for one specific play. On the Helm RPO yesterday they showed Napier tapping his chest after the play and telling the defender it was his fault. Seems like he knew he was abandoning the middle of the field with the play call and didn't expect us to have someone attacking it.
  19. It was a bullshit call, especially for Mar. Mar himself called it and #82 had his hand across the front of the defender for a split second and let go very quickly, and it had no effect on the play. Mar lets way more blatant holding go all the time. I was shocked at the call.
  20. Welcome to the new CFB world. Top talent will be concentrated in the super conferences but then spread out within them thanks to NIL. So CFB seasons will look more like the NFL and in a long season sometimes another team with great talent plays great on a day when you play like shit. The 1985 Chicago Bears got the shit beat out of them in a highly hyped regular season game against Miami. Now I'm obviously not saying this year's Texas team is the equivalent of that Bears team but that kind of shit happens.
  21. Yes, not the one he tried to catch with the crown of his helmet.
  22. Lol that was an easy catch that he fucked up. It happens.
  23. The drop is 100% on Moore. Ewers's inaccurate throw could be blamed for a non-touchdown because Moore had to slow down but the lack of a long completion is 100% Moore.
