I mean there's a chance that shitass fourth quarter could hurt us at the end of the season. What if we finish 9-3 somehow and there are enough losses elsewhere? A 3 touchdown win over one of the contenders would have been nice.
We can be upset about multiple things. Our pass coverage and defense overall went to absolute shit at the end. Sarkisian went into shell mode way too soon.
But that also doesn't change the fact that the refs have fucked us.
This game is why I don't get it when people say you shouldn't complain about refs when you win.
These refs have been absolutely awful and this should have been an even worse ass-kicking if they were competent.
Correct but you still have to make the call. Wouldn't have affected anything in the end but the ref calling Muhammad only when he watched him get thrown to the ground is ridiculous.
An offensive player grabbing and throwing a defender to the ground has to be by definition a penalty. Either it's holding if the play was still going on or it's a personal foul if the play was over. Absolutely absurd not to call anything on Sherrill there.
He really is getting the ball out more quickly today. That pass to Livingstone near the sideline for a first down this drive is not a first down in previous games because the ball wouldn't have been there in time for Livingstone to stop and cut upfield.
It's less than 3/4 of a game but this is definite visible improvement. I hate to think maybe if he'd gotten a concussion sooner but...
I mean semi-seriously, with concussion protocol you are told not to think too hard or concentrate for the first day or two. Maybe being ordered to chill out and not overthink for a couple of days helped him decompress. I'm a fan, I can wishcast silly but maybe slightly 1% plausible ideas that would be good news for my team.
Some clean pocket grades
Ty Simpson 91.0, Behren Morton 88.8, Gunnar Stockton 88.1, Arch Manning 87.3
Noted draft bust Justin Field NFL career 86.2
Maybe the issue is not understanding the stat. Also, a key factor of QB play is getting rid of the ball, Manning is pressured more than anyone partially because our OL sucks but also partially because he holds the ball longer than most QBs.
I don't blame one side more than the other because I stopped caring enough to research what the real issue was. I just pulled the plug and now find "free TV" options as my kids call them. Also, pro tip to you younger posters: have kids because someday they will know current technology better than you.
Now I stream everything.
Everyone will forget all of this the next time Texas hires a football coach and one thing doesn't go perfectly and this whole board starts crying about how embarrassing it is.
Meanwhile they will all forget how hilarious 90% of coaching changes at major programs are.
Well it's true if you just watch the play. He clearly looks to two reads before progressing to Wingo.
The playcall was interesting because of what you mention but Wingo was hit on an in-breaking route near the hash, so it's not like the explanation of having to hit on the sidelines proves it was a single read.
Well since your post starts with a 100% false premise it's tough to respond. Neither play was a quick one read pass play called by Sarkisian. The Florida play had multiple options and Wingo was his third read. The MSU play was an audible by Caldwell.
We still don't know shit about fuck when it comes to how good or not good Caldwell is but you should probably try again.
