  1. Um, no. In chronological order they are Bobby Layne, Duke Carlisle/James Street (depending on if you go for individual brilliance versus team results), Vince Young, Colt Mccoy.
  2. Going for ankles is how a strong runner steps through tackles, that's a terrible idea. If you want to go low your target should be between the thigh pad and the knee and wrap up the legs.
  3. The spying was dumb but they stop us there if #20 sticks with his shallow flat responsibility. He was worried about Golden crossing beyond the sticks but if he stays shallow that makes the throw to Golden almost impossible to get over him but to Golden in time to keep him in bounds.
  4. People only think Klubnik was much better than Ewers if they're Texas fans. If you were a Clemson fan you would have noticed Klubnik's mistakes, including huge mistakes in game clinching situations. Just check out the 4th and 6 where we sealed the game. Taafe blows up the crossing route because he committed immediately to it. The proper read for Klubnik there is to hit the post route which was open because their slot had two steps on our DB. That would have made the game 38-31 with an onside kick to come. But QB haters don't notice that on other teams, just their own. Kind of like Klubnik throwing up jump balls that get caught because their WRs beat our DBs makes Klubnik better than when Ewers throws up competitive balls and our WR doesn't bring it down (Wingo at 5:00 in the 3Q - he was interfered with but going up for the ball at least draws the flag if you don't catch it), or bad throws to wide open receivers where their WRs save Klubnik (Antonio Williams on the sideline first play of 4Q), when it's the other team that's just the QB making a play. When it's your team that's a bad throw omg!
  5. First round QBRs: 1. Will Howard 98.8 2. Quinn Ewers 87.5 3. Cade Klubnik 83.5 4. Riley Leonard 66.8 5. Kurtis Rourke 63.6 6. Nico Iamaleava 62.0 7. Drew Allar 56.8 8. Kevin Jennings 13.8 Reminder that there were plenty of surly posters over the last few weeks wishing we had any of the other playoff QBs.
  6. Based on Ewers's excellent checks into the Blue touchdown runs yesterday, he should probably just pick whatever play he wants and audible out of the Bundlé Savé play anytime Sarkisian calls it.

  8. For all the narrative about Texas's offensive struggles and would Texas be able to move the ball and score points, the Longhorns gained more yards than any of the other 7 teams in the first round.
  9. OMG it's 21-0 the committee is so dumb letting teams in from weak conferences!
  10. Continued deflection with zero supporting evidence for the argument. And your gotcha is that if we don't win three more games in a row against playoff competition resulting in a national championship then you're right with zero logical explanation. Nobody is fooled by this absurd argument you're making.
  11. No shit? Yeah I just quoted myself. Fuck you if you don't like it. Try learning football you bitchass complainers.
  12. Do you think nobody noticed that you didn't point out any mistakes whatsoever in this gigantic deflection of a post?
  13. No, because only an idiot would have an issue with a QB who made one mistake all game that was still a catchable pass. You can try to deflect with "internet points" references but try not being a dipshit and explain what specific issues you have with his play. In reality you're the one trying to get internet points because the easiest thing to do is bitch about the starting QB.
  14. It you're dissatisfied with how Ewers played today then you're a moron
  15. Rickey and I got in a conversation at the Astrodome when he played for the Padres. There was a runner on 2nd with 2 outs. Astros hit a single and Rickey tried to throw out the runner at home. Sailed the cutoff man. Batter advanced to second on the throw. I literally screamed to him (I was 21) "Rickey can hit, Rickey can run, but Rickey can't throw, hit your cutoff! Now there's another RISP!" He flipped me off. Next batter hit a single. Runner scored from second. After that he tipped his cap to me from left field. Along with Pedro Martínez my favorite player ever I watched live who never played for Houston.
  16. Holy shit. I'm old and I don't canonize athletes but this one hurts.
  17. @immamacdon't lock the game week thread so I can mock the stupid motherfuckers. Texas won. Texas covered. Fuck all the pussies.
  18. Hi. I'm @Overlord. I think I'm smart.
  19. What did he fuck up in the second half? One pass behind Golden that was still catchable? It's like you people didn't watch Jennings, Rourke, etc.
  20. This is a weird post. Ewers played extremely well today.
  21. Love the OL celebrating that one
  22. Did they not watch the A&M game film? Don't just try to run straight at us on 4th and 1.
  23. Yep, sometimes the other team makes great plays. It sucks but it happens. Muhammad is a great CB but they're feeling it right now, he isn't playing badly but they've decided they're not afraid to go at him. Time to step up.
  24. For you Ewers haters, both of Blue's long touchdown runs have been audibles/checks at the line of scrimmage.
