  1. So exactly 2 of those 8 coaches had a Top 25 Kenpom team in his first year at his current school? One top 20?
  2. What boards were you on? Texas fans have been bitching about the Holiday, Alamo, and other disappointing bowl destinations forever.
  3. I guess we'll find out how badly Mrs. Larry Ellison wants to keep the roster together.
  4. Maybe they are actually a competent institution that made sure they had run a thorough investigation including obtaining indisputable evidence of the charges prior to terminating the employee. I mean I don't put leaders on pedestals because there are plenty of morons leading things but this ain't LSU.
  5. Being a Sooner is a valid cause but they've known about that for a while so the student pregnancy seems more likely.
  6. No, I'm still pointing out very stupid posts. If I've done this to you before (I don't recall you specifically) that should tell you something about yourself, not about me.
  7. You are frighteningly dense sometimes. Also, y'all can have this discussion somewhere else. Wilcox opened the political door but it doesn't mean you need to step through it.
  8. This was the first post on this thread that mentioned politics in any way you big dummy.
  9. Norris's championship is old news now. Very interested to see who nails the new regs and who completely boffs it. Still don't fully understand the manual override mode (hi MOM!) rules but we will all see it in action soon enough.
  10. You keep posting this but it isn't gaining traction like you want because most people know that "I wanted to come here because I watched Marcel throw in practice" is a cover because guys still don't want to admit that they came for the money.
  11. Man it was just one year ago that half of the football board wanted him at Texas
  12. 7 weeks until the first 2026 testing session. Somebody start the new thread.
  13. I'm continually surprised by how many posters here take complete morons seriously. This guy is an idiot, interact accordingly.
  14. Which side are you arguing for? Very few professionals would work beyond the scope of their contract for no further compensation. I'm not saying that's what this is but you were responding to a conversation that started with someone saying bowl games aren't stipulated in their contacts (I'm assuming as a thought exercise). In that scenario, not playing the bowl game would be acting like a professional.
  15. So you want us to have a non-conferemce schedule of Ohio State, Indiana, Oregon, and Notre Dame next year?
  16. If you think inserting other players into the game is chess then you may want to stop by the Chutes and Ladders message board for something more your speed.
  17. I agree that the bowl game is beneficial for the roster but should also be treated like an exhibition on game day. It's Sarkisian's job to use the practices wisely and keep the team engaged. In the transfer portal and NIL era there should be a lot of benefit to evaluating the roster for 2026. Which is exactly why during the game the starters should get a quarter plus a drive before backups start getting snaps against a talented opponent. That is not something you can replicate in spring or fall practice. But, and this is the key because Sarkisian has sucked at this, once the younger players being evaluated are in the game the intensity has to stay elevated. They should be playing to win not just bleed clock. We have no idea what the heck our backups are capable of late in seasons because they are only allowed to run vanilla plays/schemes.
  18. James Madison is in because the ACC was awful. That's not the committee's fault and it's not the rules' fault. Top 5 conference champions is a decent rule. Also, James Madison will get killed but they're probably also better than UVA and Duke. None of the 3 are among the best 25 teams in the country, though.
  19. No we don't, because currently some teams are willing to play those game and some teams aren't. If every team goes that route then it's a much different position.
  20. Or maybe the entire reason he was hyping up how important those games are was to defend against us getting left out but it happened anyway so now it's been proven that playing them is detrimental.
  21. This is one of the dumbest non sequiturs I've ever seen only made dumber by the fact it's asking someone to prove a negative. Congrats on a remarkably terrible post. Georgia destroyed FSU because FSU was ass and Georgia was awesome. That game had essentially nothing to do with Georgia the last two seasons, and my only point is that FSU being a helmet school had even less to do with it. They would have destroyed anyone and continued on to their 2024 and 2025 seasons.
  22. Thinking that "beating a helmet team" matters to next season or to the players is even sillier than the posts you're responding to.
  23. After doing their best to make it dramatic, McLaren did everything right today. They covered off every strategic option that could have threatened them, really perfect work by the team strategists today.
  24. Not really, they played an FCS team. An FCS team that went 3-8 against FCS opponents.
